OK, anyone who has been following the BAT-BLOG for awhile knows that we have an excellent group of friends in New Jersey who are always contributing some very cool Batman-related stories. Here's a very good example:



Recently they all got together and created this Mini BATMAN TRIBUTE Movie that shares the adventure they had at the 2012 New Jersey State Fair. While there, they had the opportunity to film the Original 1966 Bat-Copter ( flown by Capt. Gene Nock ) and a beautiful 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile Replica Car together!! FUNNY BATMAN HUMOR - Comic Strips, Ha Ha!

It's become sort of a tradition here at BAT-BLOG.COM to, every now and then, share some funny picture or comic strips that are Batman related. So, here we go!! Oh yeah, I guess I should say that the 1st one is my top personal favorite and is also an excellent mash-up parody of the Opening Introduction of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show ( Animation ) and Frank Miller's dark and gritty BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS ( Graphic Novel ). The expression on the face of Robin, the Boy Wonder, in the last panel is priceless!

 

Model Sheet - Golden Age Wonder Woman, The Animated Series

OK, I know this is not Batman-related but it's so extremely cool I just had to share it! Here's a TV Animation Model Sheet created by James Tucker for an idea to do a "Golden Age Wonder Woman" Animated Series. Yes, Let's hope Warner Bros actually makes this thing a reality, it's so AWESOME!! (Click on it for a larger HD photo)

BATMAN VIDEO - 1966 Batmobile Vehicle Featured on STAR CARS!!

At the CRAVE ONLINE website they have a cool new Video Series called "STAR CARS" where, each episode, they focus on a famous TV or Movie Related Vehicle. In Episode #2, shown here, Reporter Athena Stamos interviews Nate Truman. Nate owns a beautiful 1966 BATMOBILE Replica Car that he built himself and you can really see the love that went into it. Plus, it's the "Adam West TV Show" vehicle so it's extremely AWESOME!

PROMO VIDEO - BATMAN The Animated Series Rises on THE HUB

THE HUB Nework has been airing this incredible TV Promo Video to capitalize on the popularity of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie and to promote the fact that they will air 10 awesome episodes of "Batman: The Animated Series" this Friday ( July 20th, 2012 ) at 4pm ET / 1pm PT.

Now, the really cool thing about this video, beside being a great parody of TDKR Movie Trailer, is the fact that, where they could, they got all the Original Voice Actors ( Yes, Kevin Conroy! ) from the Animated Series to actually re-voice the lines of what the "Movie Actors" say in the original movie trailer... Cool!

“THE BATMOBILE” DOCUMENTARY SPECIAL PREMIERES MONDAY JULY 16 AT 8:00 PM ON THE CW NETWORK!

Just a quick reminder: 

The broadcast network premiere of the new half-hour Documentary Special on the history and evolution of the Batman Vehicles, "THE BATMOBILE" will air on Monday, July 16th, 8:00-8:30pm ET on The CW.  An encore of the special will air from 8:30-9:00pm ET. 

The special will have its world premiere screening at the 2012 Comic Con in San Diego on July 12th, where all six of the Batmobiles from film and television will also appear for the first time together.

NJ SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST - Batman Batmobile and Bat-Vehicle Coverage!

Recently, some Loyal Bat-Blog Readers sent us some amazing photos from the SUPER-MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST that happened in New Jersey on June 9th & 10th. Here are some pics from our Good Pal & Ace Bat-Reporter BatDave and we'll be sharing even more later. These sort of focus on the Batman Bat-Vehicles that were there and they had an amazing assortment! 

OK, Outside ( right near the front door! ), they had a beautiful pair of 1966 BATMAN TV Show Replicas: The '66 Batmobile and Bat-Cycle!! Also appearing at the show was Captain Gene Nock who brought his Original 1960's Batman Movie Batcopter, also known as the N3079G!! 

Oh yeah hold on, one last thing! The Actor Robert Vaughn, who was a Special Guest at the show and you might remember him from THE MAN FROM UNCLE 60's TV Series, was kind enough to pop outside and get into our friend John's 1966 Batmobile for a photo op! As you can imagine everyone loves to sit inside that car and, sometimes, it's even kind of hard to get them to get out of it, ha ha!

1966 BATMAN TV SHOW - New Toys and Products Coming Soon!

Yesterday the internet was all buzzing about the news from Variety Magazine's website that final agreements between Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox ( Owners of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show ) have finally worked out their grievances and so now we can look forward to brand-new Product Lines featuring Toys and Merchandise related to the Classic 60's TV Series!

The list of possible character so far looks like Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin The Boy Wonder), Yvonne Craig (Batgirl), Julie Newmar (Catwoman), Cesar Romero (The Joker), Frank Gorshin (Riddler), Burgess Meredith (The Penguin) and more!

We should have more news next week when Warner Bros. Consumer Products sets up a booth at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, NV ( June 12th-14th, 2012 ). 



Also, awhile back, Adam West, in a LIVE Interview, announced that there are guaranteed plans for them coming out with Complete Seasons of the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series on DVD & Blu-Ray. This post is a friendly reminder that the SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST in New Jersey will be this weekend, June 9th & 10th, 2012. The cool thing is that the Guests of Honor will be ADAM WEST & BURT WARD! 

Yes, Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder, will make a special appearance! They will also have the lovely Lee Merriwether, who played Catwoman in the 1960's Movie, and Donna Loren ( Robin's love interest on the 1966 TV Series ). But wait, there's more!

They will also have some amazing Batman Replica Batmobiles and bat-Vehicles. Yeah, we're talking about the 1966 Bat-Cycle and amazing 60's Batman Movie Bat-Copter!

New BATMAN TOYS - Mattel 1:50 Scale BATMOBILE CAR HOT WHEELS Hitting Stores Now!

Check out these wonderful photos from our Friend BATMOBILLY. He bought some of the new 1:50 Scale Batmobile Hot Wheels the other night. These are the large cars that are sort of like Corgi Toys. This 1st Wave includes 2 Vehicles from the BATMAN RETURNS Movie and 2 from the '66 BATMAN TV Series. The list includes: Armored Batmobile, The Penguin Duck, The 60's Batcopter and The 1966 Batmobile! Now, most of these are re-issues, but if you missed them before then here's your chance to get some!

New UK Book - HOLY FRANCHISE, BATMAN! By Gary Collinson

I just got some news about a brand-new "Batman Movie & TV History" Book titled, "Holy Franchise, Batman!", which was written by Gary Collinson. The book covers the ENTIRE film and television history of the character. We're talking from the 1940's Serials to Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher, Christopher Nolan, and all of the animated TV cartoons. It even has a full episode guide for the 1966 Adam West and Burt Ward TV Series. 

One thing though, I think this book will only be available in the UK & I'm guessing it will be available on UK Amazon? Sorry, Publisher didn't share many details. But one thing I do know is that the release date is June 29th, 2012. Also, sorry my description is kinda vague but the Publisher never sent me a Review Copy either. So, I can't really review it or anything. But it sounds like a fun book, especially for fans of the bat-films.

CHILLER THEATRE EXPO NJ - Meet John Astin THE RIDDLER April 27th-29th

OK, I know we reported this earlier this month at the BAT-BLOG, but this event happens TOMORROW so we thought we'd post a friendly reminder. Fans of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show who live near Parsippany, NJ might want to go to the CHILLER THEATRE Toy, Model, and Film Expo Convention going on from April 27 to 29th, 2012. The Actor, John Astin, will be there along with many other Guests. I mention him specifically because he played the THE RIDDLER ( 2nd Version ) on the 1960's BATMAN TV Show. He was also the lead actor on another series you might remember called THE ADDAMS FAMILY. It would be pretty cool to meet him. For more information, click HERE!

As most Bat-Fans probably know already, DC Nation and the Cartoon Network plan to broadcast a brand-new Batman CGI computer-animated TV series called BEWARE THE BATMAN! Well, Warner Bros finally released a Teaser Trailer & it's totally beautiful!! Crank-up your speakers because the sound of the Batmobile engines is a very cool special effect. Plus, you're gonna want to hear Batman's "new voice". Unfortunately, the 1st episode isn't set to air until 2013. But hey, stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG.COM for all future information.

VIDEO - BATMAN'S ADAM WEST Getting His STAR On The Hollywood Walk of Fame

OK, as reported here ( proudly ) at the BAT-BLOG.COM, The Legendary Actor, ADAM WEST, finally received his STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well, here's a very nice video of the event shot by our Friend Rich Behrle ( AKA Burlyman! ). Rich got there a few hours early to get a good spot and he did, he was right up front! You can also see Seth McFarlane ( Family Guy ) at the event too. Congratulations to Mr. West, your STAR is well deserved, Sir!
