VIDEO - Batman's 1966 Batcopter and Batmobile Team-Up!

OK, anyone who has been following the BAT-BLOG for awhile knows that we have an excellent group of friends in New Jersey who are always contributing some very cool Batman-related stories. Here's a very good example:



Recently they all got together and created this Mini BATMAN TRIBUTE Movie that shares the adventure they had at the 2012 New Jersey State Fair. While there, they had the opportunity to film the Original 1966 Bat-Copter ( flown by Capt. Gene Nock ) and a beautiful 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile Replica Car together!! FUNNY BATMAN HUMOR - Comic Strips, Ha Ha!

It's become sort of a tradition here at BAT-BLOG.COM to, every now and then, share some funny picture or comic strips that are Batman related. So, here we go!! Oh yeah, I guess I should say that the 1st one is my top personal favorite and is also an excellent mash-up parody of the Opening Introduction of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show ( Animation ) and Frank Miller's dark and gritty BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS ( Graphic Novel ). The expression on the face of Robin, the Boy Wonder, in the last panel is priceless!

 

HOT TOYS New BATMAN 1966 BATMOBILE VEHICLE Update!

Just a quick bat-photo to share here, sort of an update on the news of the brand-new 1966 Batmobile Car that HOT TOYS is making! I'm sharing this pic too because it's the 1st one we have seen with an actual person standing next to this new vehicle giving us an idea of size and scale. This is our Friend Ivan at a recent convention and he was kind enough to think about sending us this great pic & we appreciate it! Look how HUGE and beautiful that '66 Batmobile is... IT'S AWESOME!! HOT TOYS New 1966 BATMOBILE VEHICLE Batman Car!!

Just a quick post to share a few photos from the 2012 San Diego Comic Con where the Brand-New HOT TOYS 1966 Batmobile Batman Vehicle made an appearance, YES!! Oh man, this Japanese Toy Company just keeps torturing me, arrgghh!

BATMAN VIDEO - 1966 Batmobile Vehicle Featured on STAR CARS!!

At the CRAVE ONLINE website they have a cool new Video Series called "STAR CARS" where, each episode, they focus on a famous TV or Movie Related Vehicle. In Episode #2, shown here, Reporter Athena Stamos interviews Nate Truman. Nate owns a beautiful 1966 BATMOBILE Replica Car that he built himself and you can really see the love that went into it. Plus, it's the "Adam West TV Show" vehicle so it's extremely AWESOME!

HOT TOYS BATMAN 1966 LIVE-ACTION TV SERIES BATMOBILE CAR Vehicle

I recently came across these promo photos from the Japanese Toy Company, HOT HOYS, where they were showing off a few of their Batman-related vehicles. Some have been out awhile and other are set for the future. Well, one of them is the 1960's TV Show Batmobile!! Oh man, I totally freaked out ( ha ha ) and upon doing some research I came across these 1st two photos showing the Classic TV Car. 



Yes, they're making a HUGE version of the George Barris 1966 Batmobile!! Once we get more information ( and new photos ) you know we're gonna post them here. So, stay tunes. OK Hot Toys, TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!

Everybody is Riding in BATMAN BAT-VEHICLES Except Me!

OK, I am totally consumed with both envy and jealousy and these are not good feelings to have, ha ha! Check out these 2 pics. First, Our Good Friend Lisa ( also known as BatChick ) recently got to fly in the Original 1960's Batman Movie Batcopter!! This ultra-cool Bat-Vehicle was at the recent NJ State Fair. Yes, that's Captain Gene Nock in the photo too, the Pilot! I'm JEALOUS!!

Next, all the way around the world, in Dublin, Ireland, our Friend Mark went to the TUMBLER TOUR and got to jump on the Original Bat-Pod Motorcycle from the Christopher Nolan Batman movies!! Yes, this is the actual one that appeared in THE DARK KNIGHT movie and will probably also be the one used for the DARK KNIGHT RISES film as well. Look at that expression on his face, priceless! Arrgghh! OK, I'm actually very happy for both of them, ha!

WACKY BATMAN WALLPAPER DAY On Thursday!

OK, Here at the Bat-Blog we have one gimmick where we post some FREE Batman Backgrounds on a certain day of the week and we call it, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! Which was yesterday, but I was so busy I didn't have time to post so, here we go! Now, I really did want to post these because I'm actually very proud of them. They are all really interesting images for a desktop background but the main reason I like them so much is because they were all contributed by Loyal Bat-Blog Fans who wanted to share some fun pics and their love of the character. So to me, that is very very cool.

The 1st Wallpaper is an AWESOME photo sent-in by our Friend Paul. He recently went to THE TUMBLER TOUR at the National Harbor in Maryland, during the DC tour. In his hand is "The Gotham Times" Newspaper that was sent out during THE DARK KNIGHT 2008 Movie Viral campaign. ( Hey, that's pretty clever! It's like he's a Citizen of Gotham City, ha! ).

Next up is a GREAT Photo all the way from Berlin! It was sent to us from a Friend named "Zerokewl" and it's sort of an Advertising Billboard  for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie he saw at a local German Cinema near him. It's a GIANT-SIZE Wall Poster Mural for the upcoming film, which will start in Germany on July 26th, 2012.

Then, There's this really great image which represents the 1966 Batmobile Car and two other Batman Vehicles. Yeah, the 1960's Bat-Cycle and Bat-Copter! All three of these were at the recent Mega-Show Expo thing in New Jersey and our Friend BatDave got this excellent shot of all 3!

Wow! All 3 of these pictures are totally great and if the Bat-Blog is any good at all then it's because of the wonderful input from Fans & Readers. This post was just a small way for me to say that and also say, "THANKS!"

NJ SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST - Batman Batmobile and Bat-Vehicle Coverage!

Recently, some Loyal Bat-Blog Readers sent us some amazing photos from the SUPER-MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST that happened in New Jersey on June 9th & 10th. Here are some pics from our Good Pal & Ace Bat-Reporter BatDave and we'll be sharing even more later. These sort of focus on the Batman Bat-Vehicles that were there and they had an amazing assortment! 

OK, Outside ( right near the front door! ), they had a beautiful pair of 1966 BATMAN TV Show Replicas: The '66 Batmobile and Bat-Cycle!! Also appearing at the show was Captain Gene Nock who brought his Original 1960's Batman Movie Batcopter, also known as the N3079G!! 

Oh yeah hold on, one last thing! The Actor Robert Vaughn, who was a Special Guest at the show and you might remember him from THE MAN FROM UNCLE 60's TV Series, was kind enough to pop outside and get into our friend John's 1966 Batmobile for a photo op! As you can imagine everyone loves to sit inside that car and, sometimes, it's even kind of hard to get them to get out of it, ha ha!

Stewart's BATMAN BATMOBILE PHOTOS From the Recent SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST

Check out these ultra-cool photos taken by our friend Stewart ( we call him "Stu" ) who, about two weeks ago, went to the SUPER-MEGA SHOW AND COMIC FEST in New Jersey. While he was there he got to see the Original 1989 Batman Movie Batmobile Car, and an awesome set of 1966 Batmobile & Bat-Cycle Replicas! Now, this was the show that had Adam West & Burt Ward as special guests but while Stu was taking pics of the vehicles outside he got this great shot of Lee Merriwether sitting in the '66 Batmobile. It looks like she is using a Sharpee marker to "autograph" the dashboard ( Yes, She was the original Catwoman in the 60's movie & still looks great! ). 1966 BATMAN TV SHOW - New Toys and Products Coming Soon!

Yesterday the internet was all buzzing about the news from Variety Magazine's website that final agreements between Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox ( Owners of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show ) have finally worked out their grievances and so now we can look forward to brand-new Product Lines featuring Toys and Merchandise related to the Classic 60's TV Series!

The list of possible character so far looks like Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin The Boy Wonder), Yvonne Craig (Batgirl), Julie Newmar (Catwoman), Cesar Romero (The Joker), Frank Gorshin (Riddler), Burgess Meredith (The Penguin) and more!

We should have more news next week when Warner Bros. Consumer Products sets up a booth at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, NV ( June 12th-14th, 2012 ). 



Also, awhile back, Adam West, in a LIVE Interview, announced that there are guaranteed plans for them coming out with Complete Seasons of the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series on DVD & Blu-Ray. BATMAN'S ADAM WEST and BURT WARD To Appear at New Jersey SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST This Weekend!

Yes, Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder, will make a special appearance! They will also have the lovely Lee Merriwether, who played Catwoman in the 1960's Movie, and Donna Loren ( Robin's love interest on the 1966 TV Series ). But wait, there's more!

They will also have some amazing Batman Replica Batmobiles and bat-Vehicles. Yeah, we're talking about the 1966 Bat-Cycle and amazing 60's Batman Movie Bat-Copter!

New BATMAN TOYS - Mattel 1:50 Scale BATMOBILE CAR HOT WHEELS Hitting Stores Now!

Check out these wonderful photos from our Friend BATMOBILLY. He bought some of the new 1:50 Scale Batmobile Hot Wheels the other night. These are the large cars that are sort of like Corgi Toys. This 1st Wave includes 2 Vehicles from the BATMAN RETURNS Movie and 2 from the '66 BATMAN TV Series. The list includes: Armored Batmobile, The Penguin Duck, The 60's Batcopter and The 1966 Batmobile! Now, most of these are re-issues, but if you missed them before then here's your chance to get some!

New Mattel HOT WHEELS BATMAN BATMOBILES Spotted at Walmart

You might have read about these brand-new HOT WHEELS BATMAN Batmobile Toy Cars right here at the Bat-Blog awhile back. Well, our Good Friend and Ace Bat-Reporter BATMOBILLY spotted them, in a special display, at Wal-Mart the other night. Don't worry, they sell them at Target also. These toy cars are really amazing as diecast vehicles but for me there are two very cool things about them: 1. The packaging artwork is awesome ( I really like the use of all the different Bat-Logos ), and 2. They only cost $1.07. Hey, that's something we can ALL afford, ha ha!

Purrrfect! Check out this incredible piece of Tattoo Art featuring the Feline of Crime, Catwoman! Of course this is not the modern day Anne Hathaway version but the original, the one and only, Julie Newmar! Yes, the Actress who played the character on the 1966 BATMAN TV Series. FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS - The 1966 TV Show Batmobile Car!

I'm posting this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" on Thursday. Yeah, I'm an Idiot, ha! But wait a minute, these are both really pretty and you're gonna love 'em! These FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS focus on the 1966 Batmobile, the most beautiful Car in the entire world, period. The other cool thing is that both pics were contributed by Bat-Blog Fans. The 1st one is from our Friend Bat-Dave who shot this at a recent NJ Comic-Con. The Car is owned by a guy named John & he had just built that "Batttering-Ram" device you see on the front grill. Next, is a photo sent to us by a friend in Dallas, Texas named Frank. This car was at some Shopping Mall and is pretty awesome! Frank probably drooled over this thing all day. So, I guess one is "outside" and the other is "inside". Either way this car is the greatest vehicle... ever!

In no particular order, the 1st Set includes: Batman Returns Batboat, 1989 Batwing, and 1989 Batmobile! The 2nd Set includes: Super Friends Batmobile, 1966 Batmobile with Trailer Hitch, and Comic Book Batmobile! The 3rd Set includes: Batman Begins Batmobile, The Dark Knight Bat-Pod, and The Dark Knight Batmobile!
