Check out these fun "Batman Movie" TV Commercial Promo Videos from Greek Television. Yes, these were shown in Greece! The other cool thing is that they are vintage commercials for some of the older movies: Batman Returns (1992), Batman and Robin (1997), and Batman Begins (2005)! Besides being foreign I also like how they are edited to be way more fun and exciting, ha!

Lana's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES CATWOMAN Cosplay Photos

MEOW! Check out these amazing pics sent to us by a lovely Woman named Lana Marie. Her hobby and passion is Superhero Cosplay and She's really serious about it! I mean, just look at the photos. This is her most recent costume creation, the Anne Hathaway version of CATWOMAN that we will all be seeing in the next Batman film, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Her costume looks really great and I must say right here that she completely makes all this stuff herself. So, she's both beautiful AND talented :) 

In fact, Lana said she is now working on next costume which will be based on the Tim Burton BATMAN RETURNS version of this character. You know, the leather cat-suit worn by Michelle Pfeiffer. Wow, we can't wait to see that!

VIDEO - BATMAN RETURNS - Rob Burman on Mold Making and Movie Costumes

Check out this amazing Video about the filming of the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS Movie directed by Tim Burton. This is a short documentary and interview with Rob Burman for his work on "Batman Returns" as a Mold Maker and Costume Fixer. Produced and shot in High Definition and mixed in Surround Sound by Rennie Cowan.  All set photos you see in this documentary are authentic and property of Rob Burman who worked on Batman Returns. Burman personally gave the photos to the director for use in this video. The stunt double for Michael Keaton, Dave Lea, also provided an image.

Check out these wonderful photos from our Friend BATMOBILLY. He bought some of the new 1:50 Scale Batmobile Hot Wheels the other night. These are the large cars that are sort of like Corgi Toys. This 1st Wave includes 2 Vehicles from the BATMAN RETURNS Movie and 2 from the '66 BATMAN TV Series. The list includes: Armored Batmobile, The Penguin Duck, The 60's Batcopter and The 1966 Batmobile! OK, Remember the 1:50 Scale-Sized Diecast Batman BATMOBILE Cars created by Mattel? Of course you do, they were/are totally amazing! Well, our Good Friend & Ace Bat-Reporter Batmobilly spotted these extremely cool 3-Pack Sets at his local Toys-R-Us last night! 



In no particular order, the 1st Set includes: Batman Returns Batboat, 1989 Batwing, and 1989 Batmobile! The 2nd Set includes: Super Friends Batmobile, 1966 Batmobile with Trailer Hitch, and Comic Book Batmobile! The 3rd Set includes: Batman Begins Batmobile, The Dark Knight Bat-Pod, and The Dark Knight Batmobile!

HOT TOYS New BATMAN RETURNS 1992 MOVIE Figures Announced For Late 2012

The Toy Company HOT TOYS announced they will be coming out with a new line of 1/6th and 1/4th scale collectible figures based on the 1992 "Batman Returns" movie which stared Michael Keaton as Batman, Danny DeVito as Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. The Release Date is not set in stone but expect something towards the end of 2012.

Major ART SHOW - TIM BURTON at Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art will present Tim Burton, a major retrospective exploring the full range of Tim Burton's creative work, both as a director of live-action and animated films, and as an artist, illustrator, photographer, and writer. Showcased here are just a few of the "Batman Items" that will be present. We got an original Batman Cowl from a Batman Movie, plus some Costume Design Drawings of both the Penguin & Catwoman from "Batman Returns" and one of The Joker ( Jack Nicholson ) from 1989's BATMAN. Plus, you know there will be much much more! Wow! It looks like a great show!



It will be on view at LACMA from May 29th ( This Sunday! ) through October 31st, 2011, the exhibition brings together over 700 drawings, paintings, photographs, moving-image works, storyboards, puppets, concept artworks, maquettes, costumes, and cinematic ephemera, including art from a number of unrealized and little-known personal projects. Many of these objects come from the artist's own archive, as well as from studio archives and private collections of Burton's collaborators.

COPS PIN RAP ON BATMAN - 1992 New York Post Newspaper

Here's a random Batman item I came across on eBay awhile back that I thought was pretty cool. Well, "cool" because it's kinda weird, ha ha! This was the actual cover to a NEW YORK POST Newspaper dated Thursday, June 18th, 1992. It was around the time of the '92 BATMAN RETURNS Movie by Tim Burton. In fact, the photo on the cover is of the Actor who played the Caped Crusader, Michael Keaton. But, the story really had nothing to do with him. It was mainly about how a New York State Sheriff Group was urging a boycott on all films made by Time Warner Inc. because they were the media giant also responsible for publishing a rap song by rapper Ice-T titled "COP KILLER". The name of the album was called "Body Count" & they wanted it removed from store shelves. OK, I remember all this mess. It got really blown-up for awhile. Now listen, I'm presenting this story as an unusual piece of Bat-History & I don't want to hear a bunch of bigoted opinions about Rap music, thank you. I just think this vintage newspaper cover is kinda fun.

Auction News - Batman Movie Memorabilia at Profiles in History

Next Friday & Saturday, December 17th & 18th, PROFILES IN HISTORY will be holding another of their famous "Hollywood Memorabilia" auctions in Beverly Hills, CA. This time they have some extremely amazing items up on the auction block: Original Puppets by Tim Burton from "The Corpse Bride", a Ton of "Blade Runner" Movie Props, Some items from "Terminator", & even "The Wizard of OZ"! But the best items for us Batman Collectors are some pieces from the "Batman Returns" 1992 movie & even one film-prop model from "The Dark Knight". In the "Returns" list there are many Conceptual Art Drawings, Danny Devito's Penguin Costume Pieces ( Umbrella, Monocle, Cigarette Holder ), & a 1/4 Scale Model of the Batmobile. The car alone is expected to bring $30,000 to $50,000 ( just a tiny bit out of my price range ). The "Dark Knight" item is the Garbage Truck driven by a Joker Goon. Well, not the actual "truck", ha ha!, but an extremely detailed model ( check out the pics ). There are even a few more items to numerous to list. So, here's a link to their website, just click HERE! Original Movie Prop Design - Catwoman's Claws From BATMAN RETURNS Movie.

Check out this amazing photo! These are the original glove pieces for Michelle Pfeiffer's CATWOMAN costume from the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS movie, her "Claws". They were created by a Movie Prop Designer named Scott Schneider and I think it's really interesting to see these sort of things. Most of the time they are very well designed. Also, Scott has a website where you can see some of his other creations. Plus, there are also many more photos ( with great details ) of these Catwoman Gloves. You can get there by clicking HERE!

1992 BATMAN RETURNS Movie - McDonalds HAPPY MEAL TOYS TV Commercial

Here's a very RARE video clip of an older TV Commercial for the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS movie Happy Meal Toys at McDonalds. But, I gotta say, that I don't remember these "Batman Neck Pens" as a premium. What's the deal here?! Were these made for the foreign market? And if so, then from where? It shows 4 different pens to collect: Batman, Catwoman, The Penguin, & even the Batmobile Car! Well, I guess that these are now officially on my wish list. But that's cool, there's always something new to hunt for!

Batman Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday....on Thursday!

OK, I know that today is Thursday & on Wednesday I always post "Batman Themed Desktop background Wallpapers". But I've been having a little trouble lately getting back on track. So, better late than never! Here are 3 Wallpaper Backgrounds that are sure to jazz-up any PC desktop. The 1st one uses some promo art that was done in the 1980's by Paul Gulacy, it's pretty cool. Plus, he's a total bat-fan favorite. Speaking of "promo", the next one uses some art that was found in an old comic book & was made to advertise the BATMAN RETURNS Video Game. It's got Catwoman, The Penguin, & even his famous Duck-mobile vehicle....awesome! The last one is more modern day. it's an image from the DC Universe Film BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD. 1992 BATMAN RETURNS Movie - Super Nintendo NES Video Game

The other day I came across this advertisement from an old comic book. It's for the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS MOVIE Video Game for the Super Nintendo System. I thought it was a neat piece of bat-history & worthy of posting. The artwork is pretty cool & I like that it features the Batmobile Car, Catwoman, & The Penguin ( click on it for a larger version ). I know it will bring back a lot of fond memories for some readers who grew-up playing this game. So, while doing this post, I thought it would be a good idea to find a video of the actual game play. That way people could relive their glory days & also people who have never seen this game in action would get a good idea what it actually looked like back then. Oh man, the graphics are so extremely cheesy! If you have played the recent BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM game then you know just how far video game graphics have advanced...it's crazy!
