The Robot Chicken DC Comics Special airs this Fall and features many Robot Chicken favorites including the Robot Chicken Nerd, the Humping Robot, Composite Santa, and the Mad Scientist who will be joined by the DC characters to poke fun at those with the most impressive powers and the lesser ones who can't really be called superheroes.

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA OVALTINE POSTER & T-SHIRT Ultra Rare 1960's Batman Memorabilia!

OK, I thought I'd do a quick post to share this ultra-rare piece of Bat-History! These photos are of 2 items that recently sold on evil eBay. One is a Store Display Poster for an offer to buy an OVALTINE Mail-Away Premium "JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA" T-Shirt. Those bright day-glo colors must have been seen by every little kid for a 3 mile radius, ha ha! Then, the next photo shows the actual JLA T-Shirt you could have got back in the 1960's ( I'm guessing around 1966 or 1967 ). Oh man, the retro-style graphics are totally beautiful and it even features Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and The Flash! I wish I had these 2 pieces, especially that poster. But, I guess I'll just have to enjoy these pictures because this stuff is so ultra-rare it will probably never be seen by me in my lifetime. It's what we serious Vintage Toy Collectors call a "Museum Piece".

New DC UNIVERSE Jumbo Plush Toys from Jakks Pacific

Here's a photo from the recent 2012 NYC TOY FAIR showing the booth for a Toy Company named "Jakks Pacific". They're mainly known for their line of Cabbage Patch Dolls & Pokemon Toys. But shown here are some brand-new DC UNIVERSE Plush Dolls they're gonna make in 2012. There will be some regular-sized ones and then, the shocking thing, is that it looks like there will be some that are HUGE! I mean, GIANT-SIZE!! We're not sure on an exact relase date yet but stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG.COM and we'll let ya know!

New 2012 DC Universe JOKER Hot Wheels Diecast Car in Stores Now!!

OK, you know that new series of 2012 DC UNIVERSE SUPERHEROES Hot Wheels Cars that Mattel keeps coming out with? Well, here are the next 3 new Comic Book Cars: Superman, Green Lantern, and The Joker! Now obviously we're gonna focus on the JOKER one because the Bat-Blog is ALL ABOUT BATMAN, ha ha! But in the 2nd photo you can see the other cars too and they're really great. Personally, I totally love them! These brand-new toys were found by our Ace Bat-Reporter Batmobilly! He said he found them at Wal-Mart but I'm sure they will hit Target stores soon. Hey, if anyone, and that means YOU, sees ANY brand-new Batman Merchandise in the retail stores then please let us know! ( Thanks Batmobilly! )

WE CAN BE HEROES - The Justice League Joins The Fight To Help End The Hunger Crisis in the Horn of Africa

DC Entertainment and Warner Brothers have created a Campaign to help fight the hunger crisis in the Horn of Africa. It's called "WE CAN BE HEROES" and it will use the JUSTICE LEAGUE characters as a vehicle (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg).



WE CAN BE HEROES will support the efforts of three humanitarian aid organizations working in Africa: Save the Children, International Rescue Committee and Mercy Corps.

The region is suffering its worst drought and famine in over 60 years, with 13 million in need of critical assistance and 250,000 facing starvation in Somalia alone.

Basically, if I got the information right, DC Entertainment will match each dollar donated until two million dollars has been distributed over the next two years. One way they will be raising funds is through the sale of special merchandise. This includes a WE CAN BE HEROES T-Shirt ( shown up above ), an iPhone Cover, Water Bottle, and Ceramic Coffee Mug. VIDEO - The DC NATION is Coming to CARTOON NETWORK in 2012

A new block of DC Entertainment programming will be featured on CARTOON NETWORK next year. It starts in early 2012 and will be called THE DC NATION! Right now the 2 main TV Shows they're hyping are YOUNG JUSTICE & the brand-new Animated Series, GREEN LANTERN ( Both are pretty decent ). They will also feature "Animated Shorts" as bumpers between the show.

This Friday, November 18th, the final episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD will air. But don't cry Batman Fans, it's been announced that there will be a brand-new CGI Batman series. For now, it's being called "BEWARE THE BATMAN". Once more information is available you know the BAT-BLOG.COM will be all over that, stay tuned!!

DC Direct's MAD Magazine JUST-US LEAGUE OF STUPID HEROES Action Figures

In early April of 2012, if the Mayan Calendar Theory doesn't kick-in & we're all still alive, then DC Direct has plans to release a brand-new set of Action Figures called "JUST-US LEAGUE OF STUPID HEROES". They will feature ALFRED E. NEUMAN, the Mascot for MAD Magazine, as a different member of the Justice League of America: Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Robin, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Arrow, and even The Joker. I was a HUGE Fan of MAD Magazine when I was a little kid & totally love these new toys! I gotta say that one of the JOKER is my favorite. Alfred E. Neuman just seems so appropriate for that character, Ha Ha!

Recently, the BAT-BLOG.COM was sent some wonderful photos shared from a Cosplayer in France. His name is Niko & he's shown here as the Joker. His Son also made an appearance at the event as the "Little Dark Knight", BATMAN! In the last photo we get to see some of his friends in Superhero Costumes too & they're all really great! Sarah is Supergirl, William is Batman , Sabrina is Catwoman , and Julien is Green Lantern. It's so cool that the French love comics! In a future post we plan on posting some pictures Niko had sent of his amazing Batman Toy Collection. So, look for them soon. In the mean time, I wanna thank Niko for these great Cosplay pics!

LEGO DC SUPER HEROES UNITE!

The LEGO Toy Company and Warner Brothers have recently announced that they will be teaming up to bring LEGO SUPER HEROES to life! With the popularity of the BATMAN toy line they have decided to bring all the other DC Comics characters to the fold. But don't hit your local toy store tonight, these are set to have a release date of January 2012.



The new LEGO DC Universe SUPER HEROES collection will feature 13 iconic Super Heroes in LEGO mini-figure form, including: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Bane, Bruce Wayne, Superman, Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman. Buildable characters will include Batman, The Joker and Green Lantern ( shown up above ). Be sure to check out the promo video down below featuring Batman, it's pretty cool!



As a side note: LEGO has plans to kick off a promotion that will take place from August to December in 2011 in advance of the launch. The New JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA PEZ CANDY DISPENSER SET is Out!

About 2 months ago, here at the Bat-Blog, we reported about the next new Batman PEZ that would be a part of the DC Comics' JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Set. Back then we had a "prototype photo" & as it turns out it looks pretty much like the actual item. So, up above are some pictures of the real deal and we also get to see the PEZ Display-Box Header Card. There are three to collect: Superman, Green Lantern, & Batman! If these are not in your stores already they will be soon so please be sure to keep an eye out. I think these are pretty cool!

New BATMAN TOY - Justice League of America PEZ Candy Dispenser Set

Just a quick post to let everybody know about a brand-new Batman Toy to keep an eye out for in the future. DC Comics & PEZ CANDY Inc. have teamed-up to create the JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA PEZ. This special PEZ Candy Dispenser Set will feature a bust of each character. So far they have announced Batman, Superman, & Green Lantern. But I'm guessing they will also be making other Superheroes as well ( Let's hope ). I mean, Hey! Where's Wonder Woman? Up above is a prototype photo. DC Superheroes + PENTAX Optio RS1500 Digital Camera Collector Pack

Warner Bros & Pentax have teamed-up to release a special DC SUPER HEROES Digital Camera around the time of the release of the Green Lantern Movie. Pentax is gonna sell a "DC COMICS Collector Pack" for their Optio RS1500 Digital Camera. Basically, it comes with seven different skins you can change on the front ( 3 of them are "Batman-related" ). The characters will include: Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Batman, Joker, and Catwoman! I really like the fact that they're using older comic book art...nice!

New DC SUPER-PETS BOOKS - Book Launch Celebrates with Contest

Picture Window Books ( a division of Capstone Publishing ) just released a brand-new series of Children Books called DC SUPER-PETS. The Illustrator for these are none other than Art Baltazar. You might recognize his name from the successful TINY TITANS comic books. The basic concept for this new series is that they tell stories about the adventures of SUPER-PETS who are owned by some of your favorite DC Comics Superheroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, & Green Lantern. Their names are Ace the Bat-Hound, Krypto the Super-Dog, Streaky the Super-Cat, Beppo the Super-Monkey, and Jumpa the Super-Kangaroo.



Now, to celebrate the launch of this new series, Picture Window Books is sponsoring a writing contest for students in grades 1-3. Children enter the "My Pet is Super" contest by writing an article for an imaginary newspaper, The Daily Planet, about why their own pet is super! Art Baltazar will create an illustration of the winning Super-Pet that will appear in a future book in the DC Super-Pets series. The winning student will receive the original art as well as copies of the book. Authors of the top 50 entries in the contest will also win free books. New DC UNIVERSE ONLINE STATUES - Batman and Catwoman

OK, Since the Bat-Blog is ALL about the Dark Knight I'm just posting photos of the Batman-related statues, Batman and Catwoman. But before I get ahead of myself, here's the deal. For 2011 DC Direct is coming out with a huge set of statues to celebrate the entire DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game world. They measure approx. 7 1/2" tall & are cold-cast porcelain. They're also based on the comic book art of Jim Lee. So far there are 10 statues planned to be released in small waves during 2011 but I think they will add even more once the video game becomes very popular. Who are the characters made so far? You have Batman, Catwoman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Zatanna! While surfing through eBay the other day I came across this Life-Size BATMAN Statue & knew it had to be shared. Why? Well, besides being extremely cool, the same company also makes many other members of the Justice League. You might remember reading about the brand-new SQUATZ toys here at the Bat-Blog about 2 weeks ago. We had some prototype pics of the packaging & mentioned them. Well, I have now seen the actual product, in my hands, & they're extremely cool! What I'm talking about is the new line of DC UNIVERSE / SQUATZ FIGURES made by Wild Planet. They are compact collectible figures of our favorite DC Comics characters embedded in dissolving tablets. They are sold 2 figures per pack. One figure is visible & the other is hidden. The list of Core Characters ( visible ) include: Batman, The Joker, The Penguin, Green Lantern, Superman, & The Flash. I plan on hitting the Grocery Store later today because I just found out that the Hostess Cupcakes company has teamed-up with DC Comics to promote the JUSTICE LEAGUE! They are combining the best comic book heroes with their different food products like Cup Cakes, Twinkies, & so on... The characters include Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, & Batman! BATMAN FUNKO FORCE - DC Universe Bobble Head Figures!

Anyone who has been reading the Bat-Blog for any length of time knows I am totally goo-goo over Funko Toys, ha ha, so check these out! Here's some wonderful photos of the brand-new FUNKO FORCE Mini-Action Figures ( with Bobble Head action! ) that will be coming out! At first I was just gonna show the BATMAN & JOKER ones, because this blog is mainly about "collecting Batman stuff", but the others were so cool I decided to add them too, ha ha! The extras include: SUPERMAN, GREEN LANTERN, & AQUAMAN. Oh man, I am totally loving these cool new toys & the JOKER one has got to be my personal favorite, ha!
