Free Batman CATWOMAN Wallpaper Backgrounds!

Yesterday was "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" but I was too busy in my real life to post anything so I'm doing it today. Yeah, get over it! I'm also responding to a Bat-Blog Fan named "Cat" who keeps emailing me about "More Catwoman, More Catwoman!". So, here are 2 Catwoman Backgrounds to keep that Reader happy. 

The 1st one is the lovely Anne Hathaway in her beautiful Cat-Suit, as seen in the current motion picture, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. The next one features a "Comic Book version" of the feline femme-fatale with some amazing artwork.

MEOWWW! To sort of celebrate the midnight showing tonight of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie, and the fact that it officially opens this Friday, I thought I would post these 2 Brand-New CATWOMAN WALLPAPERS featuring my beautiful Wife, Anne Hathaway! Oh man, I can't wait to go see this film!! It feels like I have been waiting 10 years to see it, ha ha!!

BATMAN AND CATWOMAN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Oh Crap! I just got done posting and thought I was done when suddenly, at the last  minute, I remembered that today is Wednesday. You know what that means? Yes, it Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!! So, here are two super-fun BATMAN Backgrounds to brighten your desktop. 

The 1st one shows some beautiful Catwoman Cosplay at a recent Comic Con. I have some friends who tease me that I'm in love with the 1st girl on the far left, har har har. I mean, she is HOT, but there's no way she would even talk to me ( For one thing, American Women ONLY CARE about how much money you make & I'm completely poor right now, ha! ).

Next, is a Wallpaper I'm pretty proud of because it was drawn by a friend of ours named Paul. Well, not all of it, just the JOKER ( Heath Ledger version ) on the far right-hand side. He added it to the already famous graphic art used to advertise THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie. He felt they needed to make an image of the Joker but they didn't. So, He did! Well, I think Paul did a great job. It blends in very nicely and really looks like it belongs, cool!

FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS - The 1966 TV Show Batmobile Car!

I'm posting this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" on Thursday. Yeah, I'm an Idiot, ha! But wait a minute, these are both really pretty and you're gonna love 'em! These FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS focus on the 1966 Batmobile, the most beautiful Car in the entire world, period. The other cool thing is that both pics were contributed by Bat-Blog Fans. The 1st one is from our Friend Bat-Dave who shot this at a recent NJ Comic-Con. The Car is owned by a guy named John & he had just built that "Batttering-Ram" device you see on the front grill. Next, is a photo sent to us by a friend in Dallas, Texas named Frank. This car was at some Shopping Mall and is pretty awesome! Frank probably drooled over this thing all day. So, I guess one is "outside" and the other is "inside". Either way this car is the greatest vehicle... ever!

Check out this totally amazing piece of art created by our Friend and Graphic Designer, Christopher Franchi. This is a recent portrait he did of Yvonne Craig as BATGIRL from the 1960's BATMAN TV Show. Now, it's important to note that the original art features a full-body figure of her but when he made this Exclusive BAT-BLOG Wallpaper he cropped the image for this new format.

BATMAN WALLPAPERS - Alex Ross Painting and Harley Quinn Kotobukiya Statue

Yesterday was "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" here at the BAT-BLOG but since I was wayyyy too busy to post anything I'm gonna share some BATMAN WALLPAPERS today. They both sort of celebrate 2 brand-new Bat-Products. So, here we go! The 1st one is a mock-up that uses the graphics of ALEX ROSS' cover art to the brand-new soft-cover edition of "ROUGH JUSTICE, The DC Comics Sketches of Alex Ross" edited by Chip Kidd. Then, here's a nice close-up photo of HARLEY QUINN from the new DC Comics Bishoujo Statue by Kotobukiya ( Japan ).

I gotta say, we're really proud of the pics shown this week mainly because they were submitted by our Bat-Friend, Rich Behrle. He was recently at an event in the Parking Lot of the Topanga Mall, in California. There, he saw this 1989 BATMAN Movie Batmobile. This car is beautiful and it's also one of my personal favorites! THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Anne Hathaway CATWOMAN Batman Movie Wallpapers

MEOW! Recently there was a special high-resolution photo of Anne Hathaway leaked-out that shows her in the CATWOMAN Cat-Suit from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie! So,I decided to create a few Batman Wallpaper Backgrounds to brighten your DAY and Desktop! Now, because the photo was tall & slender, that made it kind of difficult. Hey Kids, it''s time again for Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday! This week I thought I'd post a few backgrounds that are sort of inspired by the BATMAN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Cartoon. Except, instead of using images from the TV series, I thought it would be interesting to borrow some graphics from the B: TB & TB Comic Books. Here are 2 images featuring Batman and one also has Jonah Hex. Yeah, fighting a Steampunk Robot, that's cool!

THE JOKER - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

I guess we should warn new readers to the Bat-Blog that every Wednesday we post some cool FREE New BATMAN Backgrounds and call it, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!". Oh Yeah, this week we're gonna focus on the Clown Prince of Crime, THE JOKER! The 1st one is a comic book version were he looks totally INSANE Crazy!! He's actually pretty scary, ha! The 2nd one is more friendly and was a graphic used on a recent custom t-shirt. This JOKER FACE is made-up of the words, "Why So Serious?", sort of a tribute to Heath Ledger's character in THE DARK KNIGHT Movie. OK, we hope you like these! Franchi's 1989 BATMAN MOVIE TRIBUTE Wallpapers!

I'm pretty proud to say that this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" features some amazing artwork by Graphic Artist / Designer Christopher Franchi. He's a Good Friend to the Bat-Blog and was kind enough to make us these 2 Exclusive BATMAN Wallpapers! Now of course these 2 images pay tribute to the Classic 1989 BATMAN Movie directed by Tim Burton.

OK, in the 1st wallpaper we get to see Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight, Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale, and Jack Nicholson's excellent version of The Joker! The Classic '89 Batmobile Car even makes an appearance! I like how the car is kicking-up some leaves as it blazes down the road, a nice touch. I also like the scenery of Gotham City with the Bat-Signal and the AXIS Chemical Plant, both great references. All the Characters/Actors are extremely well done. I mean, you can almost smell Kim Basinger's hair gel ( Hey, it was the Eighties, ha! ).

Now, the 2nd Wallpaper's main focus is just on BATMAN. Yes, This is the Michael Keaton version most all Bat-Fans totally love! he's shown here in a famous "open wings" pose and the glowing Bat-Symbol in the back is a nice touch.

Side Note:
Franchi is working on getting the rights to produce a variation of this image as a Limited-Edition Art Print Poster and if we get more news about that we'll pass it on. It's also important to note that he altered the original image for our Bat-Blog "Wallpaper Format" and, if the art print is offered, it will look more like the "Vertical" example shown down below.

1960's BATMAN and ROBIN The BOY WONDER - Memorabilia - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Being a little kid during the 1966 BATMAN TV Show was a great time to be alive! No matter how you felt about the Television Series the marketing was insane and they made a TON of cool Batman Toys and Collectibles! This week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is sort of inspired by that. These Bat-Backgrounds were made using photos of 2 very cool pieces of 60's merchandise, Vinyl Placemats, featuring graphics of Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder! Actually, the one of "Robin" better represents the real product as the item was a die-cut image of the figure & the cape made-up most of the surface area... but you get the idea!

FREE BATMAN ROBIN and BATGIRL WALLPAPERS - The Silver Age of Comics

It's time again Boys and Girls for Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday! Yes, this week I thought we could celebrate the "Silver Age of Comics"! These 2 Free BATMAN WALLPAPERS were made from hi-res scans of a few vintage comic book covers. They both feature the Dynamic Duo and one even has Batgirl.

Batman's HARVEY DENT IS TWO-FACE - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, I know the next major Film Villians in the next Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, is gonna be Bane and Catwoman! But I thought it would be fun to pay tribute to the character known as TWO-FACE (Also, Harvey Dent ). So, here are some wacky Wallpaper Backgrounds you will hopefully enjoy, ha!

The first one is a scene from the recent BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game. This version of the character looked really good & was a great enemy to fight. Next up is an image from an older Graphic Novel. This is from the "DARK VICTORY" comic book storyline. It's got the Joker in there too so that's cool.



Then the last one is my favorite. This is a very detailed photo of the HOT TOYS "Harvey Dent/Two-Face" Figure from their DARK KNIGHT MOVIE Toy Line.

OK, It's a little late in the day but it's still Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!! Here are some FREE BATMAN WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS you might enjoy. To make them, I used some Promo Art originally created for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie merchandise. One of them is a brand-new "Batman on his Bat-Pod Motorcycle" Toy that I think will probably be made by Mattel. The other is some standard Promotional Artwork.
