NJ SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST - Batman Batmobile and Bat-Vehicle Coverage!

Recently, some Loyal Bat-Blog Readers sent us some amazing photos from the SUPER-MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST that happened in New Jersey on June 9th & 10th. Here are some pics from our Good Pal & Ace Bat-Reporter BatDave and we'll be sharing even more later. These sort of focus on the Batman Bat-Vehicles that were there and they had an amazing assortment!

OK, Outside ( right near the front door! ), they had a beautiful pair of 1966 BATMAN TV Show Replicas: The '66 Batmobile and Bat-Cycle!! Also appearing at the show was Captain Gene Nock who brought his Original 1960's Batman Movie Batcopter, also known as the N3079G!!

Oh yeah hold on, one last thing! The Actor Robert Vaughn, who was a Special Guest at the show and you might remember him from THE MAN FROM UNCLE 60's TV Series, was kind enough to pop outside and get into our friend John's 1966 Batmobile for a photo op! As you can imagine everyone loves to sit inside that car and, sometimes, it's even kind of hard to get them to get out of it, ha ha!

Stewart's BATMAN BATMOBILE PHOTOS From the Recent SUPER MEGA SHOW & COMIC FEST

Check out these ultra-cool photos taken by our friend Stewart ( we call him "Stu" ) who, about two weeks ago, went to the SUPER-MEGA SHOW AND COMIC FEST in New Jersey. While he was there he got to see the Original 1989 Batman Movie Batmobile Car, and an awesome set of 1966 Batmobile & Bat-Cycle Replicas! Now, this was the show that had Adam West & Burt Ward as special guests but while Stu was taking pics of the vehicles outside he got this great shot of Lee Merriwether sitting in the '66 Batmobile. It looks like she is using a Sharpee marker to "autograph" the dashboard ( Yes, She was the original Catwoman in the 60's movie & still looks great! ). These are really fun pics Stu, thanks for sharing. Readers, we have more pics from this show coming up which we will show soon so please stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG!

Hal's Custom BATMAN BAT-CYCLE Harley-Davidson Motorcycle!

Check out these awesome photos of a really great "Bat-Cycle"! This is a 1988 Harley Davidson FLHTP owned by our friend Hal. Originally, it was an old Police Bike that used to be in service in New Jersey. Hal removed all the Police-related items off of it and customized it a little bit with some fresh paint and Batman Bat-emblems. I really like that he kept the design sort of minimal. I mean, he didn't over-do it and that's important because with some "Bat-Vehicles" a lot of People just go totally crazy, ha! Now, don't get me wrong though, "extreme" can be cool too, but I really love this Bat-Bike. Good Job Hal, and Thanks for sharing these fun pics.

BATMAN IN THE UK - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!!

HEY KIDS! Today's theme for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is inspired by England and here are a few BATMAN Wallpaper-Backgrounds to celebrate! First off is a nice high-res photo of a very tiny Eaglemoss Figure with the Dark Knight on his Bat-Cycle. Eaglemoss is based in Britain and started to make cool Bat-Collectibles a few years ago. This Bat-Cycle Figure was one they made a year or two ago. Right now, they're heavily into creating Batman Chess Pieces you can buy individually.

Next, is a promo photo from the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour Show. This started in the UK to rave reviews. This month it's going to be in Germany and Austria. I can't wait till it finally hits the US!! Stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com for more news on that!

Check out these great photos from a Classified Ad in Canada! It appears that somebody there is selling their Custom 1966 Yamaha BATMAN TV SHOW BAT-CYCLE Motorcycle. RARE 1960's Japanese BATMAN on BAT-CYCLE WIND-UP FIGURE - Japan!

Vintage Batman Toy Collectors are gonna totally droll all over these pretty photos!! Here's an extremely RARE piece of Bat-memorabilia from the 1960's that was made in Japan. The Japanese always make extremely cool items but this one is kind of wacky! It's a Batman Wind-Up Figure riding a Bat-Cycle ( actually a tricycle! ) that has a large bell on the back. Some of the pieces are tin metal, while others are celluloid plastic ( very fragile ). There is even a cloth cape, a nice touch. This thing is just completely wonderful!! I really love the vintage graphics & the overall coloring of this item is bizarre! ( Thanks to Ben for sharing the pics with us)

Fisher Price Imaginext DC SUPER FRIENDS - ROBIN With BATCYCLE!

Just a quick posting here. This is a pic sent in by our good friend Batmobilly! He said he just saw this action figure at Wal-Mart & it's sort of a very hard one to find so he took a picture. It's the ROBIN WITH BATCYCLE from the Fisher Price Imaginext DC SUPER FRIENDS toy line. Later, I told Billy that one day I was at Toys-R-Us. They had a HUGE area for all this great DC SUPER FRIENDS Action Figure stuff ( Vehicles, Play Sets, Figures, everything! ). There was a TON of toys & it took-up almost 1/2 the row. Out of curiosity I started to add-up all the prices in my head. Just to buy all the stuff they had that one day it would have cost like $300 dollars! The thing to keep in mind is that this is not even all the toys they have made ( or will make ). Not even close. Plus some other stores have "Exclusives", etc... So, I guess if you're like me & can't afford to buy it all ( I tend to be a "Completest Collector" ) then at least just get the few pieces that you really like. Well, this ROBIN figure with Bat-Cycle would go on that list because it's really cool!

New BATMAN MERCHANDISE Spotted at Retail Stores!

Awesome! Our good friend Batmobilly has a recent report of the retail store action for us! The 1st brand-new Batman Toy shown here is a Target Store Exclusive. It's THE JOKER from the Fisher-Price Imaginext Series. Ya got to admit that $3.99 is a pretty good price. The next item was also spotted at Target. Here are 2 different ACTION LEAGUE Figure Sets. One is Batman with the Batcycle & the other is Batman with Gorilla Grodd. Of course these are the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD versions...very cool! The last collectible is also an Imaginext Action Figure but it was found at Wal-Mart. It's TWO-FACE & it looks like he comes with a bank vault door, oh yeah! OK, I gotta send out a HUGE Thank You to Batmobilly for sending the wonderful pics, that's great! If any other Bat-Blog Readers find out about any totally new bat-merchandise while you're out running around then please let us know. Sharing the joy of collecting Batman Toys is the main function of the Bat-Blog! ( Our email button is always on the top right-hand side of this page ).

New BATMAN HOT WHEELS Vehicles & Batmobile Cars For 2010!!

For the last year or so I have been totally & completely loving the incredible 1:50 Scale Die-Cast Batman Vehicles & Batmobiles that Mattel has been coming out with. Here are some photos from the Official Hot Wheels Collector website of a few cars to keep an eye out for in 2010. The 1st photo is probably the weirdest one, but it's also a Classic Car that many Bat-Fans are gonna really love. It's the "Penguinmobile" from the 1966 TV Show! The next one, of course, is the Batcycle from the 1997 movie. In fact, all the rest shown are from various Batman movies. The 3rd one is the famous Bat-Missile from 1992's "Batman Returns". The 4th one is the "Cocoon Batmobile" from 1989. The 5th Car is from 1997's "Batman & Robin" & then there is the one from "Batman Forever". The last pic shows the Bat-Boat!!

New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD - TRANSFORMING BATCYCLE Action Figure Toy Vehicle

Our good buddy BATMOBILLY sent us this beautiful set of photos from his trip to Toys-R-Us the other night. It looks like Mattel has released another Large BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Action Figure Vehicle for us to all drool about! This is the B&B TRANSFORMING BATCYCLE! I remember a long time ago when Mattel started this line of toys they said in a publicity statement that they would be making a ton of stuff for this cartoon & they have not been lying one little bit! It's almost imposable to keep up with their crazy toy production, both as a Blog Reporter & Toy Collector! Oh Man, I need like 3 more jobs to be able to afford all this cool stuff, ha ha! But this looks like one I will defiantly have to get, it looks really great! Basically it's a Bat-Cycle that transforms into a Bat-Robot-Mech-Suit...AWESOME! ( Thanks Billy )
