Bloomingdale's DYNAMIC DUOS NIGHT - Batman and Robin Manikins

We reported at the Bat-Blog awhile back about all the special DC COMICS 75th Anniversary merchandise that the Bloomingdale's Store had. It was some really cool stuff, mostly clothing & T-Shirts. Most of it was totally EXCLUSIVE & you could only get it there. But check out this photo of a display they had around Christmas. It was for "DYNAMIC DUOS NIGHT". They had these custom-made Batman and Robin Manikins to show where the line for Santa Claus starts!

BATMAN AND ROBIN Toon Tumbler Glass - DC Comics 75th Anniversary

Here's a brand-new Batman product we recently came across that is totally cool! This is a BATMAN AND ROBIN GLASS made to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of DC Comics. This was a special promo glass made by Toon Tumblers for the Baltimore Comic Con. The glass features different artwork on both sides that was taken from a few vintage BATMAN comic book covers. One represents the 1940's Golden Age ( Batman # 9 ) & the other is more Modern-Day ( Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder # 9 ). I guess it's also important to note that the artists are Dick Sprang & Jim Lee. I have shown the original covers here for reference. I have always loved this iconic image of "Batman & Robin in The Spotlight"...it's Classic! For more information about this product just click the button down below ( But please keep in mind that if it doesn't show-up in a search that it is sold-out & will be available later ).

New BATGIRL STATUE Kotobukia - DC Comics X Bishoujo Collection

Celebrating DC Comics' 75th Anniversary, Kotobukiya Statue is proud to debut the very first in a new line of beautiful bishoujo-inspired statues, BATGIRL! The DC X Bishoujo Collection combines DC's superheroines and villains with traditional Japanese style. It's based on original character art by world famous illustrator Shunya Yamashita! Sculpted by Atelier Bamboo, this Batgirl Statue is constructed of high-quality PVC plastic and stands approximately 9 inches tall with an exclusive "Gotham City Gargoyle" display base. Barbara Gordon is an amazing start to the new line, and you can look forward to more beautiful DC ladies coming soon! As a side note: I think "Bishouj" means "pretty girl" in Japan. Also, for pricing information, click the link down below.

New BATMAN and JOKER T-SHIRTS From Superhero Stuff

Oh yeah! Over at the Superhero Stuff website they just released a few brand-new Batman T-Shirts that I thought were pretty cool. The 1st one shown here is a special "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" shirt with artwork by Walt Simonson. It's the artwork for the recent Detective Comics cover he did that was an homage to an older Golden Age book cover ( also on the shirt ). The next one is a beautiful CATWOMAN image. This pin-up art was done by none other than Adam Hughes, the master! The last example is one of my favorites. It's a scene from a vintage 1970's Batman Comic Book Cover showing the Joker. The original artist back then was Neal Adams so you know the graphics are sweet! Now, they have many more brand-new Batman T-Shirts & other merchandise in right now so if you wanna check them out just click the button down below, thanks.

NEW Batman DETECTIVE COMICS Variant Comic Book Cover - DC 75th Anniversary

Comic Book Fans might be noticing all the variant covers for recent DC Comics titles. It's apart of their "75th Anniversary" event. Well, be sure to look out for Detective Comics # 866 because it's variant cover will be drawn by Artist Walt Simonson & it's an homage to the Golden Age Batman. The inspiration is the iconic cover of Detective Comics # 69, which was originally drawn by the legendary Jerry Robinson. It features a sinister-looking Joker looming over the Dynamic Duo ( Click on it for a larger version, it's so very pretty! ).

POLLY POCKET - Dressed For Justice - DC Comics 75

To sort of continue the "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" event Mattel has released a special boxed set of POLLY POCKET Figures called "Dressed For Justice!". You get 3 dolls of the main Polly Pocket characters dressed-up in Supergirl, Wonder Woman, & Batgirl costume! Personally, I really like the one of Batgirl, very cute, & the packaging is pretty cool too the way the box-lid slides open to reveal the figures inside. That's a neat design concept. This toy will hit stores soon & the retail price will be around $20.00, keep an eye out. ( I know that little girls are gonna go totally crazy for these! )

Brand-New MICHAEL KEATON BATMAN STATUE ( 1989 Movie )

Oh yeah, if you're a serious Batman Fan then you're gonna totally love this new statue coming out! It's inspired by the 1989 Tim Burton BATMAN movie. I know I really loved that film, it's a Classic. DC Direct will be coming out with this special art statue as a part of their "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" event. It shows Michael Keaton, as the Caped Crusader, in a full-body pose. I say that because they're also releasing a small BUST figure too. That piece was featured here at the Bat-Blog awhile back, to see it just click HERE! Anyways, this newer statue is AWESOME!! It was sculpted by Joseph Menna & measures about 13 1/2" tall, a pretty good size! It comes with a special base that's in the shape of the Bat-Symbol. Basically it's hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain, & will be a Limited Edition. I really love this thing. If you would like to pre-order it ( as a gift for me or yourself, ha ha ), & save 20% off, then I suggest the following link:

New 2010 VINTAGE DC COMICS Calendar with BATMAN Detective Comics

You might remember, last year, Asgard Press came out with a special 2009 VINTAGE DC SUPER HEROES Calendar. I remember seeing it & thought it was pretty cool! It featured many Golden Age Comic Book Covers of Superman, Batman, Captain Marvel, Flash, Wonder Woman, etc... Well, this year they have a brand-new one called the 2010 VINTAGE DC COMICS Calendar. It's basically the same thing, but with different artwork. Plus, the general theme with this one is the special 75th Anniversary of the DC Comics company ( DC published their 1st comic book in 1935 ). Plus, I like that DETECTIVE COMICS is on the cover, ha ha! For more info be sure to click HERE!

Bloomingdale's BATMAN High-End Fashion Clothing!

Here's a post done for the Bat-Blog Readers out there who make tons of money! We reported awhile back how Bloomingdale's Department Stores are helping DC Comics celebrate their 75th Anniversary by having a few special Superhero T-Shirts. Well, they have expanded that line of products with a few other articles of clothing. Here are some Batman Socks, Bat-Symbol Necktie, & even a Cashmere Scarf with a cool graphic of our favorite Caped Crusader! Now, why did I mention the "lots of money" part? Well, the socks are $30.00, the Tie is $125.00, & the Scarf is $225.00 -- OUCH! But, I gotta admit, that Bat-Scarf is pretty cool!

Brand-New HOT WHEELS 1:18 Scale 1966 BATMOBILE CAR ( DC Comics 75th Anniversary Edition )

There's a Bat-Blog Reader named Steve who is totally into the whole diecast car collecting thing & he wrote, "Looks like Hot Wheels is releasing another version of the 1:18 scale 1966 Batmobile. This one will have a matte black finish & special DC 75th Anniversary packaging." OK, he also adds that this is ALL the information available right now. Not exactly sure when, or where, it will be released or the retail price but when that information surfaces then you'll be able to read it here first. Now, I'm guessing that it will be some sort of Comic Book Con Exclusive. Maybe SDCC ( San Diego ) or NYCC ( New York City ). As a side-note, "Man, how many variations on this thing are Mattel gonna make?" I do like the idea of the matte black paint though. Should look pretty awesome! ( Be sure to click on the above photos for larger versions ). Also, Thank you Steve for sending the cool pics & giving us the heads-up!
