THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - New BATMAN Toys at Habib's Fast Food Restaurant in Brazil!

Check out these great photos sent in to us by our Good Friend Marcio who lives in Brazil. In that part of the world they have a Fast Food Restaurant called HABIB'S and right now they have these 6 different figures you can collect promoting THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Film!! There are toys of Batman, Bane, and Catwoman! Actually, it's 2 different sets of 3 figures each. One set is more realistic looking while the other set is very cute. ( Thanks Marcio! ) I also found the original TV Commercial for these that are airing on Brazilian Television, check it out!

HEY KIDS! Check Out These Cool New Toys!! Right now, if you go to an Arby's Restaurant, they have a new KIDS MEAL promoting JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED Bobbing-Head Heroes 2. There are 6 Toy Premiums to collect: Batman, The Joker, Superman, Supergirl, Solomon Grundy, & Lex Luthor. Basically they are "Paper Toy Figures" you put together. I guess I should note that if you don't want to buy the food then most locations will sell the toys separately. Yeah, you know which two I'm gonna buy, ha ha!

BATMAN FAST FOOD PROMO! Taco Bell - DC Comics 75th Anniversary

DC Comics has teamed-up with Taco Bell Restaurants to celebrate their 75th anniversary. There's a brand-new "DC Comics 75" Taco Bell Kid's Meal where you get an HUGE 3-D Color Poster, 3D Glasses, and a 3D Punch-Out Superhero Scene featuring Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, or Green Lantern! Down below are some examples of the Batman Premium ( which is the character we all care the most about, ha ha! ). BATMAN CARTOON Promotional Items at KFC in The Philippines

On the internet awhile back I came across some amazing Batman Promo items that I wish I would have known existed, back when they did the promotion. It seems that, at Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants ( in the Philippines ), they had special Chicken Buckets & Plastic Soft Drink Cups decorated with graphics of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, & Catwoman! I found these on the personal website of the graphic designer who designed them. His name is Brian & he's an extremely talented artist. The weird thing was that it combined a few different "themes of Batman", namely, THE BATMAN animated cartoon & "THE GOTHAM GIRLS". But, where's Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn? They were an internal part of Gotham Girls. Plus, Batgirl was NOT a Gotham Girl but a member of the Bat-Family...weird. But regardless, I would like to have these KFC buckets & cups though, they're pretty cool!

THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie HESBURGER Fast Food Restaurant Promotion in Finland

Now that The Dark Knight Batman movie has been out awhile some of the more obscure information about it's promotion is starting to reach us here in the US. Like, I didn't know, that during the film's release in Finland they had a "Happy Meal-Type Set of Toys" in their fast food restaurants called Hesburger. I mean, I have NEVER even heard of Hesburger! ( It looks a lot like McDonalds or Burger King ). Anyway, they had a set of 5 promo toys for The Dark Knight. The ONLY information I have is some of the graphics from their old website but I can't read anything there because it's totally in Finnish. I think it happened a few months ago & I do know that right now they are hyping the new Pink Panther 2 movie so these TDK Toys are not out now. If there are any English-speaking Bat-Blog Readers who understand Finnish, or know of Hesburgers, then please let me know. The toys seem kinda cool but are also sort of generic. I can't make them all out from just the photo but a few items look like a Velcro-Ball Dart Board Game, maybe a Small Bat-Shaped Kite, a Paddle Game ( the kind where you catch velco-balls on a piece of cloth material-covered disks ), a Dark Knight Hacky Sack ( very cool, I love Hacky! ), & maybe a small Soccer Ball-Type Ball. Sorry, I can't translate anything at the site & the pictures are kind of vague. But, check out the pic up above & you'll see. I guess I should mention that if there are any readers who live outside the US, and know about any wacky Batman Toys ( fast food or not ) then please let me know so I can share that info. The main purpose of the Bat-Blog is sharing the love of collecting the RARE Batman merchandise!

It took some crunching but I finally got a photo of what the LEGO BATMAN : THE VIDEO GAME McDonald's Happy Meal Toy Set is gonna look like. There will be 4 figures: Batman, Robin, Mr. Freeze, & The Joker. There will also be 4 vehicles but I can only see 2 of them in this photo: the Batmobile & Joker Helicopter. This is not an official photo from McDonalds so let's hope better pics surface later. These will hit the restaurants on September 12th.

LEGO BATMAN THE VIDEO GAME McDonalds HAPPY MEAL TOYS Due September 12th

Secret reports have been leaked that McDonalds next Happy Meal promotion, after the current "Star Wars, The Clone Wars" promo, will be LEGO BATMAN: THE VIDEO GAME. I've been trying to get some photos or more information but the only thing I have been able to find is that there will be about 8 Happy Meal Toys with a Lego Batman-theme. Plus, they are due for release on Sept 12th, 2008. The Official McDonalds website has this small picture shown up above. If any readers get news, especially pics, please let me know.

THE DARK KNIGHT KIDS CLUB MEAL TOYS at HUNGRY JACK'S Fast Food Restaurants in Australia

While researching my last post on "Burger King TV Commercials" I came across these 2 videos which have different Kid's Club Meal toys than the ones in Germany & Europe. These TV spots have a strange Burger King-type logo where they call them "Hungry Jack's". After a little research I found out that these are "Burger King" Restaurants in Australia. The Burger King Fast-Food Restaurants ( outside the USA ) have capitalized on the release of The Dark Knight Batman film with a TV and movie campaign featuring people who display their "dark side" after eating a special "Dark Whopper" hamburger, kinda funny.

Recently at the Bat-Blog we featured photos of all the new DARK KNIGHT Batman Kid's Meal Toys that will be at Burger King in Germany. It's a total shame we won't have any fast food toys here in the USA but these are still kinda neat! Well, here's the TV commercial that's being shown there. The cool thing is that it's in German!

Here in the USA we don't have any THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Fast Food Toys but they will have some in Germany! BURGER KING Restaurants in Germany will have 6 different Batman "The Dark Knight" Kids Meal Toys to collect! There is the "Batarang Launcher, Batman Frisbee, Light-Up Bat-Signal, Batman Action Figure, Tumbler Batmobile Car, & Batman Scanner"!! Sorry if I mis-spelled some of the names because I don't speak or read German! Personally I am really excited about this, at least for the fans in Germany, it's awesome! Vintage Batman Toys: BATMAN BEYOND Burger King Kid's Club Toys

Now when I think of "Vintage" I think of stuff from the 1950's & 60's, maybe even the 70's or 80's. But I guess you can label anything "Vintage" that's NOT in the stores any more....hmmm, I wonder. Here's an example: Shown here is a graphic showing all the fast food toys in the complete set of 8 BATMAN BEYOND toys from the Burger King Kid's Club meals ©2000. I remember when these came out & I got a few but I think I'm missing some so I found this picture to use as a guide. In the future I plan to complete this set. Anyway, I really love the BATMAN BEYOND cartoon. I remember the days before this TV show came out & I was very skeptical. I mean, the promo art I was seeing sort of had me worried. But, after it came out, I seriously loved this show. The animation was great, the stories were pretty good, the sound effects / voice acting, etc... was top-notch! Overall, it was a really great series. I think because of it's short life this version of Batman gets over looked, it shouldn't.

NEW BATMAN FAST FOOD TOY at Hardees & Carl's Jr, June 2007

A friend recently told me about a new Batman Fast Food Toy that is available at Hardees & Carl's Jrs Restaurants. He's one of the JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED characters in the promotion for the release of the new JLU Season Two DVD. It looks pretty cool & I just might have to try & track one down!
