Check out this new BATMAN Merchandise that just became available. Here are 2 Glass Tumblers with humorous sayings & retro-style bat-graphics. In fact, if you're a Vintage Toy Collector you'll probably notice the "Batmobile" image is the Kenner Superpowers Action Figure Vehicle. Yes, this clip art is from the 1980's. One glass says, "Wanna Come To My Bat Cave?", & the other one is "Chicks Dig The Ride!", ha ha! I really like these & someday, they will be MINE! Here's a good place to get them, just click the link button down below:
Here at the Bat-Blog we're always reporting on all the brand-new Batman merchandise we come across. I mean, we love this stuff. Plus, we're crazy! But these TOON TUMBLERS Batman Glasses are way too cool! The company has just released a Set of 4 Glasses that are sold as a Boxed Set. The characters include: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, & The Joker. Check out the photo ( Click on it for a larger, more detailed, picture ), they're pretty cool. Then, for the best prices, be sure to click on the link button down below.
Just the other day I got an email from a Bat-Blog Reader asking me about a Batman Promo Glass he found at a Garage Sale. He sent a photo of it and as soon as I saw it I knew what it was. I mean, I totally remembered these from my childhood in the 70's. It's a glass from the 1976 DC Comics Superhero Pepsi Series. If I remember right, they were a promotion at Burger King, the Fast Food Restaurant ( or was it Arby's? ). But either way here's a photo that shows the complete set of 6 glasses ( Click on the pic for a larger sharper version ). OK Rob, you now need to find Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, and the Flash!
Here's a brand-new Batman product we recently came across that is totally cool! This is a BATMAN AND ROBIN GLASS made to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of DC Comics. This was a special promo glass made by Toon Tumblers for the Baltimore Comic Con. The glass features different artwork on both sides that was taken from a few vintage BATMAN comic book covers. One represents the 1940's Golden Age ( Batman # 9 ) & the other is more Modern-Day ( Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder # 9 ). I guess it's also important to note that the artists are Dick Sprang & Jim Lee. I have shown the original covers here for reference. I have always loved this iconic image of "Batman & Robin in The Spotlight"...it's Classic! For more information about this product just click the button down below ( But please keep in mind that if it doesn't show-up in a search that it is sold-out & will be available later ).
Just as the title of this post says, Here are some Reference Photos of Official BATMAN Memorabilia & Collectibles From Argentina. I also gotta say that these are all fully-licensed. Why do I say that? Well, if you visit an "online auction service" right now, & search for "Batman Argentina", you'll find a ton of really bad bootleg ( stuff people make in their garages ) merchandise. It's kinda sad & I just wanted to warn people about it. Some of it looks really good & that's kind of scary. Now, here's the deal on this real stuff: The 1st photo is a BATMAN Comic Book Reprint from the 1950's. Yes, it's made in a weird "sideways" format. But it's an officially licensed product & very cool. Plus, it's from the 50's!! The next pic shows three BATMAN Promo Glasses that came out during the 1989 movie. These were cross-promoted with Orange CRUSH Soft Drink. The last photo is a magazine titled "Eneracion X". It's from 1995 & features a story on U2's music in the Batman Movie Soundtrack. Yes, that's Bono on the cover, as the Devil! Now, don't all of these look like something that would be hard to reproduce? I'm not trying to lecture people. I'm just asking everyone to please use common sense & do not support these evil bootleggers.
This brand-new Character Glass of ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER just hit the market & like all the other glasses from this series will probably sell-out pretty soon. I love that they devoted a glass to Batman's partner. The graphics are really great! On the front is the image you see up above & on the back is the ROBIN "comic book logo". Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that the glass is totally clear but in this photo a piece of white paper was put inside to allow the image to be photographed. So, it looks a lot more cool than the dumb photo. This glass, of course, is one of the "Toon Tumblers" in the DC Comics line. So far they have made Poison Ivy, Joker, Harley Quinn, etc...Let's hope that they eventually make glasses of every single Batman character out there, ha ha! Our buddy, THE BATFAN, sent us some cool photos the other day of a few rare bat-items from his personal collection. The 1st pic shows a funny BATMAN COOKING APRON that was made around the time of the 1989 Batman movie. I like that it's the "Comic Book" version with the blue/gray/yellow bat-suit. The funny thing about it is that they made a mask to go with it! I actually remember this thing when it was out. I now wish I would have bought one, it's pretty cool! The next group of items are really great too. They're a Set of Batman & Robin Drinking Glasses that were made around 1967!! What makes them extremely hard to find here in the US is that they're from the Netherlands. Yes, all the way from Holland!! I totally love the retro-style graphics, very beautiful! ( Please click on the photo for a larger, more detailed, picture ). Do you have any obscure super-rare Batman items in your collection? If so, then please shoot us a pic today. Our email is always on the top right-hand side of this page.
This brand-new Character Glass of POISON IVY just hit the market & like all the other glasses from this series will probably sell-out pretty soon. I love that they devoted a glass to one of Batman's villains. The graphics are really great! On the front is the image you see up above & on the back is her name done like a "comic book logo". Let's hope that they eventually make glasses of every single Batman character out there, ha ha! For more information be sure to click the link down below.
Anybody remember these BATMAN RETURNS Movie Cups from McDonalds? I do, I collected them all! I also remember being sort of upset that they were plastic because for a long time these Premium Promo Glasses from Fast Food Restaurants used to be high-quality glass. Then, I guess some moron sued them or something ( or maybe they became too expensive to produce ) so they all went to plastic. But, these BATMAN RETURNS Cups were still pretty neat & the graphics were really nice. The lids were actually a Mini-Frisbee that didn't fly very well, but looked cool. There were 6 to collect: Batman, Catwoman, The Penguin ( 2 ), Bruce Wayne, & The Batmobile. Now, I got the photos here so you can see the cups & that "Newspaper-looking thing" was the Paper Placemat used at McDonalds for the trays. I remember a HUGE Standee Store Display Sign that was in the store too but couldn't find a pic at the time of this post. But really the main thing are the cups & the video. Yes, the TV Commercial! It's down below so be sure to check that out too.
Do you remember when you could hit your favorite fast food restaurant & get a cool Promo Glass...made out of real glass! Well, a few years ago ( around 2004 ) a company called POPFUN MERCHANDISING started to make a new product called TOON TUMBLERS. Basically they're high-quality Character Glasses with awesome graphics. They started out using children's comic book & TV cartoon characters like Underdog, Harvey Comics, Bullwinkle, etc...then they started to do Marvel Comics Superheroes. Once I saw the Marvel characters I knew it wouldn't be long until they started doing DC Comics Comic Book Characters. Well, they have finally arrived! Shown here are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Firestorm, Sgt. Rock, & The Joker! OK, you know which two I'm gonna have to get ( Batman & Joker, Duh! )! But the ones of Sgt. Rock & Superman are pretty cool too! I like the fact that the Batman Glass uses Neal Adams' artwork from the 1970's & The Joker glass features graphics by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez ( or is it Dick Giordano's art? I get those 2 guys confused sometimes, ha ha ). Here's a link to where you can buy them:
Here's an incredible photo sent to the BAT-BLOG by a loyal reader who said he just recently found the original 3-D glasses for this 1953 Batman 3-D comic book he has had for almost a year! His e-mail was pretty cool because he really seemed excited about this, which is awesome, & he wanted to share the news with Bat-Blog readers....Thanks Dave!
