This first photo shown here is pretty amazing! It just needs a tiny bit of explaining to understand it's total awesomeness!! OK, Every year, in the Whitt Family household, it's a Holiday Tradition for them to create an extremely elaborate Custom Christmas Card with a "Batman theme". I'm proud to say that I have got a few and they're pretty cool! But this year they really outdid themselves, ha!
Check it out: The 2nd photo is a very famous piece of Batman Merchandise. This was a Christmas Collector Plate put out by DC Direct Gallery in 2005. I still remember when I first saw it at a Warner Bros Store. It's one of the rare "Bat-Xmas" items that featured artwork by Alex Ross. It shows the Joker and Harley Quinn dressed as Santa Claus and they have trapped Batman in a Santa's Toy Bag. It's become a very classic Holiday image, almost iconic.
Now, when I received this photo from my friend John ( He's "Batman" in the photo ) I just thought he sent a picture of that PLATE, sort of like a Holiday Greeting, ha! But looking at it I was kind of taken back and then I was like, "Hey, That's a photo of real people!" Yes, they fooled me! The picture is that good. Last Sunday, December 4th, BATMAN and his 1966 Batmobile made an appearance at the Annual SNOWFLAKE PARADE. This is a major Christmas event held in Milburn, New Jersey. In fact, the well-known Caped Crusader and his famous car led the parade! But the big surprise was that his side-kick Robin was replaced by none other than SANTA CLAUS himself! Yes, children of all ages were so happy to meet this brand-new Dynamic Duo!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! Here's a random selection of "Christmas Theme" BATMAN Humor Pictures that are pretty funny! The 1st one shares the Dark Knight's true feelings about the Holiday, ha! Next up is a nice EXTRA LIFE Comic Strip by Scott Johnson. It seems like Robin is trying to use Santa Claus to start some trouble. Last, is a really great "Batman Song" Christmas Card I saw on the Etsy website that somebody was selling ( I think they're all sold out ). Most Bat-Fans will totally get the graphics on there. Here's a hint, "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin Laid an Egg...", ha ha! I think this would make an excellent T-Shirt graphic too.
Hallmark Stores just released some beautiful photos of their next extremely awesome BATMAN-Themed Christmas Ornaments. The one on the left is called "Batman Takes Flight" and is a more Modern-Day Comic Book version. The 2nd one is the 1966 Batmobile Car from the TV Show which plays the "Batman Theme" Music !! Look for these in Hallmark Stores around July.
We reported at the Bat-Blog awhile back about all the special DC COMICS 75th Anniversary merchandise that the Bloomingdale's Store had. It was some really cool stuff, mostly clothing & T-Shirts. Most of it was totally EXCLUSIVE & you could only get it there. But check out this photo of a display they had around Christmas. It was for "DYNAMIC DUOS NIGHT". They had these custom-made Batman and Robin Manikins to show where the line for Santa Claus starts!

OK, you might have seen your 11 year old nephew wearing these. They're called BANDZ & basically they're fun jewelry for kids. They are rubber-bracelets made in the shapes of popular cartoon & comic book characters. Here are a few different packages to buy that are Batman-related: Bat-Vehicles, Bat-Symbols, & Villains. I've seen these at Target for around $4.00 a package. I really like the design of the packaging, great graphics! I also think these would make nice Christmas stocking stuffers. Yes! It's that time again! Every year, here at the Bat-Blog, we get totally excited about the TOYS FOR TOTS Toy Drive & this is when we ask everyone who enjoys this website to please drop-off a few sealed toys to a TOYS FOR TOTS location. Now, they're pretty easy to find. You can usually spot them at any Toys-R-Us location plus there are a ton of other places like Banks & Restaurants. All you need to do is visit the TOYS FOR TOTS website & click the "Toy Drop-Offs" button. There, you'll find a huge list. Now here's the deal, while Christmas shopping, just buy a few extra toys ( think in terms of "Boy & Girl" ) and then drop them into a donation box, it's that easy! Then, the US Marines will deliver these toys to disadvantaged children in your community. It's an incredible charity organization that brings joy to kids every year. Also, if you don't have time to deliver some toys you can always just make a cash donation at their website. Please do, it's really a super-great cause! Thank you. ( Oh, if you can't afford to donate anything this year, then just please spread the news about the TOYS FOR TOTS event. Telling other people about it will help a lot, thanks! )
Over at the awesome CAPTAIN TOY website they have some wonderful photos of all the 2011 Christmas Keepsake Ornaments that Hallmark Cards plan to release next year. The main one that most Batman Fans are going to be really excited about is the 1966 TV Show Batmobile Car designed by George Barris!! They will also be making ones of Catwoman ( modern version ), Harley Quinn with Hammer, & a Silver-Age Batman! If you visit the site they also show all the others & there are some really great ones! My personal favorites include: The Peanuts, Toy Story, Tom & Jerry, the new TRON movie light-cycle, Green Lantern, Superman, Indiana Jones in the Snake Pit, Rosie The Robot from The Jetsons Cartoon, a cool Star Wars one with Han & Greedo ( Han shot first, ha! ), & many many more. For 2010, Hallmark Card Stores will release the "BATMAN CAPED CRUSADER" Keepsake Ornament. I really like this one because it's the classic comic book version...Oh Yeah!

Here's a 1940's Golden Age Comic Book Cover that I thought would be appropriate for today's event, Christmas Eve. It's BATMAN # 27 from 1945 ( Be sure to click on the above photos for larger, more detailed, pics ). It shows Batman & Robin helping Santa Claus deliver toys to good boys & girls...it's a Classic! On the back cover was an advertisement for the Daisy Air Rifle company. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
It seems our friends Dallas & Daria are really getting into the Holiday Spirit this year! They decorated a few Batman, Joker, & Catwoman Statues with Christmas wreaths. The funny thing is the expression on Batman's face makes him look like he's not too happy with the whole idea, ha ha! But, overall, the 3 busts look pretty cool & I thought the picture would make a great Christmas Card image ( Thanks to Dallas for sending us the funny pic ).
Here are 2 photos of some brand-new Batman merchandise sent in by 2 awesome Bat-Blog Fans. I thought I would post them because they do make great Christmas Gift ideas. The 1st one is a box of BATMAN COLOGNE that our friend Jennifer found at ROSS. Ross is a Discount Clothing Store & they always have unique gift items. I think it's pretty cool that they're selling this & it's only $7.99, which is a good deal. I really like the graphics used on the box, a "Comic Book" version of the Caped Crusader! The next photo was sent in by our buddy "Batmobile Billy" who is totally into collecting all the different variations of the Batmobile ( hence the cool nickname, ha! ). Here is a perfect gift idea for that little boy or girl in your life, a Fisher Price Imaginext Batmobile Toy Car that comes with some "Toxic Barrels" to crash into. But the thing that's so cool about it is that it also has a lot of nice action figures with it too. There are three Villains: Two-Face, Joker, & Riddler. Plus, you get 3 Superheroes, six figures in all! Now please keep in mind that this is a TARGET Store Exclusive that you can ONLY find there. Just a quick post to remind everybody to go to your friendly neighborhood Target Store because they have Batman Wrapping Paper! Yes! This was out last year & very hard-to-find. This photo was sent in by our friend Jennifer & thanks to her we get to see what the graphic design of the Batman Gift Wrap looks like...it's beautiful!
Here's some neat pics sent in by our good friend Jennifer. She likes to decorate her Christmas Tree with a Batman Theme & it actually looks pretty AWESOME! If I read the e-mail correctly, the 1st pic is this year's tree & the 2nd photo is from last year. Using a Plush Toy as a Treetop Angel is a great idea. Personally, I have a few Batman Ornaments ( mostly Hallmark ones ) in my Bat-Collection & could probably do a tree too. My only problem is I have absolutely NO space to put one, ha ha! So, Jennifer...I am totally super-jealous...JEALOUS! Plus, you did a great job. Thanks for sharing. If there are any other Bat-Blog Readers who decorated their tree with Batman stuff then please send us some pics too!
