Over at the INANIMATE OBJECT website, just in time for the new year, they recently posted their fun brand-new 2012 Calendar! At the site, you can download the full calendar as a print-quality PDF file, and then take it to a local printer. They consulted with several local print shops in their area, from the mom-and-pops to the big chains, and they found the best deal was at Office Depot.Anyways, this is the famous website done by a Graphic Artist named Cason Pilliod. His thing is making Customized Action Figures, most of them are characters from "Batman, The Animated Series" but there's other cool stuff too. These Custom Toys are totally amazing and you can easily spend an hour or two just drooling over the eye-candy, ha! So, Please be sure to check it out sometime. With Christmas around the corner I thought I'd do a post advertising the brand-new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY 2012 Wall Calendar. Of course this is the HOT New Video Game that every Batman Fan loves! You might remember, last year, Asgard Press came out with a special 2009 VINTAGE DC SUPER HEROES Calendar. I remember seeing it & thought it was pretty cool! It featured many Golden Age Comic Book Covers of Superman, Batman, Captain Marvel, Flash, Wonder Woman, etc... Well, this year they have a brand-new one called the 2010 VINTAGE DC COMICS Calendar. It's basically the same thing, but with different artwork. Plus, the general theme with this one is the special 75th Anniversary of the DC Comics company ( DC published their 1st comic book in 1935 ). A friend of mine the other day asked me if they made a 2009 Calendar for THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie, that he would like to get one. I told him, "Yeah, of course, they made a few different sizes: a Regular-Size Wall Calendar, then a Larger One, & even a Small Mini-Version. I reported it on the Bat-Blog here a long time ago, didn't you read it?!" I was sort of pulling his chain because I know he does not read the site daily like most readers do & he probably missed it. Anyway, I told him about the website where you can buy them because they're kinda hard to find in most stores ( they sold out ). Well, he called me back & was sort of freaking out. While laughing he said, "They already have the 2010 DARK KNIGHT Wall Calendar available!". Now, to offer a calendar for next year is kinda weird, especially this far in advance. But what is also really strange is "why?". Why make a product for this movie way after it's not in theaters anymore? It must be because the movie is so hugely popular. I mean, think about the marketing of most Batman movies. While it is out they manufacture every conceivable product there is ( Happy Meal Toys, Toothpaste, Underwear, Cereal, Action Figures, T-Shirts, Posters, etc...) Then, as soon as the movie is over, they stop & allow the products to die out. Well, now they are offering a Batman Calendar...for NEXT year, ha ha! So, because it is current "Batman Product News" I thought I would post it here & down below is a link button if ya want to get it. The graphics do look pretty cool so I might order one for my friend. Ya know, as an inside joke, ha ha!
Here's a brand-new Batman product that I am kind of excited about. It's the 2009 BATMAN Wall Calender! This is the Batman Comic Book version & not the Dark Knight movie one. The graphics are really cool. I'm guessing with the success of the film that both Warner Bros & DC Comics are gonna go crazy making new Batman Merchandise, T-Shirts, Posters, Toys, Graphic Novels, & more!! For me, as both a writer of this blog & a BIG collector, it's driving me totally crazy trying to keep up with all the new stuff coming out, ha ha! But, I guess that's a good thing. If you want to see better pictures of what the calender looks like then here's a link to the only company I know that sells it. While there be sure to check out some of the superhero clothing they have. There's a very cool Batman-Logo Belt Buckle I'm thinking about getting but the only problem is that I don't even wear a belt! It's just that it looks so cool, ha ha.
What? They're making merchandise for this movie? No way! Ha Ha, here's an interesting new product I came across on the internet that is gonna have to be the official calendar of my house next year, THE DARK KNIGHT BATMAN MOVIE 2009 Calendar! The cover features photos of both Batman & Joker ( Heath Ledger ) plus the graphics inside look pretty cool!
