Our Good Friend Kuan sent us some totally wonderful photos showing some of the Banner Advertising for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie in Singapore. They feature Batman and Bane, very cool! 



Also, look at the last photo down below ( you might need to click on it for a larger version ). These three photos together are ones that Kuan has sent to us over the years. They show one special Movie Theater in Singapore where they have had huge advertising in the front of the building for each individual Batman Nolan film, amazing!! ( Thank You Kuan! )

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman, Bane and Catwoman Invade NYC Times Square!

Yesterday we posted some wonderful photos from a BAT-BLOG Fan named "BatMatt" who recently made a trip to New York City, NY. Now, of course, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie is promoted there like crazy and he said he saw cool stuff everywhere! Like, for example, the pics we posted previously were ones he shot in Chinatown.

Check out these extremely cool photos shot by our Friend "BatMatt" who lives in Marietta, GA. ( Be sure to click on them for larger HD versions ). He recently made a trip to New York City around the 4th of July and said that THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie is promoted there like crazy!! THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Batman Movie Promotional Banner Spotted in Rio de Janeiro

Check out these totally fun photos sent to us from our Buddy Marcio who lives in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Rio de Janeiro ( Brazil ). Just the other day he spotted this HUGE Advertising Display for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie on the side of a Subway Car. Oh Man, that is so cool!! The graphics feature both Batman and Bane. Plus, I think it's kinda cool to see "foreign language" used with it as well. ( Thanks Marcio, great pics! )

In our ongoing coverage of all THE DARK KNIGHT RISES advertising efforts here are 2 really cool photos submitted by our friend Chip Kidd. He recently spotted these really awesome BATMAN/BANE advertisements for the new Batman movie while walking around NYC. It looks like Warner Bros and DC Entertainment are finally busting loose and going crazy with the Batman Billboards that advertise THE DARK KNIGHT RISES film, that's cool! WACKY BATMAN WALLPAPER DAY On Thursday!

OK, Here at the Bat-Blog we have one gimmick where we post some FREE Batman Backgrounds on a certain day of the week and we call it, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! Which was yesterday, but I was so busy I didn't have time to post so, here we go! Now, I really did want to post these because I'm actually very proud of them. They are all really interesting images for a desktop background but the main reason I like them so much is because they were all contributed by Loyal Bat-Blog Fans who wanted to share some fun pics and their love of the character. So to me, that is very very cool.

The 1st Wallpaper is an AWESOME photo sent-in by our Friend Paul. He recently went to THE TUMBLER TOUR at the National Harbor in Maryland, during the DC tour. In his hand is "The Gotham Times" Newspaper that was sent out during THE DARK KNIGHT 2008 Movie Viral campaign. ( Hey, that's pretty clever! It's like he's a Citizen of Gotham City, ha! ).

Next up is a GREAT Photo all the way from Berlin! It was sent to us from a Friend named "Zerokewl" and it's sort of an Advertising Billboard  for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie he saw at a local German Cinema near him. It's a GIANT-SIZE Wall Poster Mural for the upcoming film, which will start in Germany on July 26th, 2012.

Then, There's this really great image which represents the 1966 Batmobile Car and two other Batman Vehicles. Yeah, the 1960's Bat-Cycle and Bat-Copter! All three of these were at the recent Mega-Show Expo thing in New Jersey and our Friend BatDave got this excellent shot of all 3!

Wow! All 3 of these pictures are totally great and if the Bat-Blog is any good at all then it's because of the wonderful input from Fans & Readers. This post was just a small way for me to say that and also say, "THANKS!"

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - New BATMAN Movie Hyped on Warner Bros Studio Building

Check out this extremely cool photo from our Bat-Friend Matt. He was driving down the street, randomly going by the Warner Bros Studio Building, when all of a sudden, BAMM! There's a HUGE Billboard Sign on the bldg advertising THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie! Yes, it's the Movie Poster with Bane turning his back, walking away, with a broken BATMAN Mask on the ground. AWESOME! ( Thanks Matt for sharing this great pic, I'm actually JEALOUS! )

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Advertising Wall Mural, in The Bronx, is UP and Completed!

Our Friend Michael sent us this awesome photo showing the BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Mural he gets to see everyday when going to work, lucky! This painted billboard advertising the Video Game is in The Bronx, New York. Michael had sent us a pic awhile back while they were painting it, if you wanna see that then click HERE! BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Advertising Wall Mural Painting Spotted in The Bronx!

In New York ( the BRONX to be exact, ha! ) the Bat-Blog has a friend named Michael and everyday when he leaves work he gets to see this BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Wall Mural Billboard being painted! It looks like it will feature the Dark Knight & the Joker staring at each other in battle... COOL! Hopefully, Michael will send us a photo of the completed project ( Hint, Hint ). OK, Yes, I'm a little JEALOUS!

BATMAN LIVE POSTERS and BILLBOARDS Popping-Up in the UK & France!

With the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour opening pretty soon in the UK ( The very 1st show, I think, starts next month ) the advertising hype is starting! Shown here, in the very 1st photo, is the Official Marquee Poster that will appear in front of theaters. Then, in the 2nd pic, is a French Advertising Poster at a Bus Stop Terminal in Paris, France. Then, a HUGE Giant-Sized Vinyl Billboard in Liverpool, England! ( Please click on it, it's a really BIG Photo ) WOW! OK, I'm asking all of our friends who live in Europe to please send us some photos of this kinda stuff when you see it. You guys get to experience this event a full year before we Americans do & I'm totally jealous, ha!

Nexian BATMAN CEL PHONE - Advertising Billboard in Surabaya, Indonesia

Here at the Bat-Blog we have a friend named Yosafat who is a major Batman Fan & he recently spotted this very cool BATMAN CEL PHONE AD billboard in Surabaya! He lives in Indonesia & found it in 2 different areas of his city. Now, how cool is that?! It's for a new "Batman Phone" by Nexian. I also gotta say that Yosafat is a "Batman Collector" & he has a website that is pretty cool too. Here's a LINK to check it out.

BATMAN AND ROBIN NEWS - Movie Ad Spotted in Egypt!

Here's an extremely awesome set of photos sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan all the way from Egypt! Yes, Egypt! His name is Myret & he wrote,

"Here are some pics I took in downtown Cairo of a building that has an advertisement of the "Batman and Robin" movie on it's side. It's been up since 1997, so it's a little bit rough around the edges, but it's still cool. The translation of what is written is "NOW IN ALL CINEMAS IN CAIRO AND ALEXANDRIA - BATMAN AND ROBIN!"

WOW! Thank you so much Myret for sending this, it's totally GREAT! The fact that this wall mural ad has existed all this time & has never been painted-over is very cool news. I totally love this!

THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Ad Banners in Taipei City!

WOW! Last week I met a Batman Fan all the way from Egypt & now one from Taiwan...how cool is that? Last night I got a very nice email from a new friend named Jerry who lives there. He wrote to say how much he loved the Bat-Blog ( I never get tired of hearing that, ha ha! ) & he sent these wonderful photos he took awhile back in Taipei City. As you can see, THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie was a very big deal there. In fact, they posted these HUGE mural-size billboards advertising the film. I totally love that! Taipei City is a great place I would like to visit. For awhile it had the tallest building in the world until when Dubai recently completed their latest skyscraper & stole the title. But regardless, it's one of the world's greatest cities & a very beautiful place. I want to thank Jerry for sending these fun pics & also want to invite all other Bat-Blog Readers to do the same. Warner Bros Animation Studio Mural with Batman, Robin, Superman, & Other Characters

My good friend Dave sent us these photos he found of the Warner Bros Animation Department Building Billboard Mural. Now, I know I posted this story before, especially when there was a big announcement about it's unveiling, but these pics are really great! They show it both during the day & at night. Now the neat thing about the "night photo" is that all the villains are lit-up from behind giving them an evil look...like they're ghost images, very cool! Warner Bros Animation Celebrates 80 Years of Cartoons with New Billboard!

In Burbank, California, on April 7th, 2009 Warner Brothers Animation held a public event where they presented their brand-new billboard celebrating nearly 80 years of WB cartoons. Celebrity guests included Actor Diedrich Bader, the voice of Batman on Batman: The Brave and The Bold ( Airing Friday Night on the Cartoon Network), and the iconic actress Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the 1966 Batman TV Series. The photo up above show them together with the original movie Batmobile. The billboard celebrates both old & new characters. Please be sure to click on the above photos for larger, more detailed, versions. I love the fact that Batman is so prominantly featured in the very center ( Take that, Superman! ). Also, if you study the photo, you'll see a lot of Batman: The Animated Series characters along the bottom: Harley Quinn, The Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman, Clayface, & Mr. Freeze...very cool! Happy 80th Anniversary Warner Brothers!!!

THE DARK KNIGHT & BATMAN BEGINS in Singapore!

A new friend to the Bat-Blog, named Kuan, sent us these 2 wonderful photos in response to a previous post where we showed some advertising billboards & banners from New York City for The Dark Knight Batman movie. Kuan lives in Singapore & recently saw some outdoor signs for The Dark Knight. Well, the amazing thing too is that he got some pictures from when the movie Batman Begins was showing there a few years ago! As you can see from the dates on the photos they were both taken on almost the same day but 3 years apart! Wow, how cool is that?! I want to personally thank Kuan for sending in these great pics, Thanks! And while I'm at it, I wanna invite all our other readers to do the same. ( On a side note, I think it's amazing getting communication from a guy all the way in Singapore. I love the internet! )

THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Advertising Banners and Billboards

Recently the Bat-Blog has been receiving a lot of e-mail from people who are totally excited about some movie called The Dark Knight. It sounds pretty cool so I might have to check in to it, ha ha! Anyway, I wanna thank everybody who wrote, especially the 3 people who attached these 3 awesome TDK-related photos they shot in their hometowns. The 1st one is a HUGE Advertising Banner in Times Square & it was big enough that I could make it into a BATMAN WALLPAPER. So, be sure to click on that one for the larger image you can use as a desktop background. The 2nd photo is really neat too. It's an Advertising Banner on the side of a bus. Not sure where it's from but it looks cool! The 3rd example is really wonderful for 2 reasons. First, it's a great picture of a large "Joker" banner but also, it shows some outdoor mural art done by Keith Haring. Haring was a famous Pop Artist from the 1980's who also did some graffiti art. See that small "cube" with bright colors just under the Joker picture? That's Haring! This is also in NYC. If you, the reader, have any cool photos like this then please send them in.
