Robert's Amazing BATMAN TRIBUTE WALL MURAL - Art Painting

Please scan your eyeballs across this amazing artwork! Awhile back I got a message from a Bat-Blog Fan who said he was painting a BATMAN TRIBUTE mural on his wall. I asked him to send some completed photos when he was finished, this is what I got! WOW! Robert, you did an incredible job on this... It looks great!! OK, now you can NEVER ever move. OK, I guess you could, but you would have to figure out how to remove that wall & take it with you, ha!
I instantly recognized the art that was used. It was the cover to Detective Comics #627, which was the 600th appearance of the Dark Knight in that title. So, DC Comics did a special "Anniversary" cover. I've shown it here as an example & you can see what a great job Robert did on this. ( Thanks for sharing your pics Rob! ). OK, if any other Bat-Blog Readers do anything creative, anything, then please send us some pics too.

David's BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES Wall Murals

Here's a room that all Batman Fans would love to live in. These pics were sent in to us by a friend over at Facebook. His name is David & he says that this is the room where he does a lot of artwork. You can see his Drawing Table over in the corner. There are some really cool pieces of Batman stuff laying around ( Toys, Statues, Books, etc... ) but, of course, the main focus of the room are the wall murals. There are 2 major themes here: Heroes and Villains. For the "Heroes Wall" we get Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing on a rooftop in Gotham City. It's done in the graphic art style of "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" animated series. Then, we get some Villains: Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Clayface, & Mr. Freeze. They're all hanging out in front of Arkham Asylum! The artwork here is very well done. Overall the room is extremely excellent! A special thanks goes out to David for sharing his personal space. We totally love this room!

OK, you gotta love this post here at the Bat-Blog because this brand-new baby boy is so cute & the creativity in the decorating of his bedroom is just amazing! Here's some very cool photos sent in by our friend Thomas. On October 19th, 2010 his first son, Kyrian, was born and because Thomas is such a huge 1966 Batman Fan he & his girlfriend decided to give him a '66 Batman Baby Room! Yes! Check out all the amazing details! First, there's the Baby Crib with the "Gotham City with Bat-Signal" Graphic . Then, also for the crib, is a Plush Batman Doll Mobile ( I guess you could call it a "Bat-Mobile", get it? Ha Ha! ). Another pic shows a beautiful Batman-theme quilt with awesome graphics on both sides. There is also another smaller blanket with Kyrian's name made to look like the old TV show logo. Plus, there's an extremely cool set of curtains, wall designs, a mural, & check out the Baby Changing Table! WOW! This is ALL totally great! I really love the creativity going on here & I gotta say again that they did an amazing job on this baby room. I not only want to thank Thomas for sending these wonderful pics but I also want to congratulate these 2 proud parents on the birth of their beautiful baby boy...Kyrian!

CULVER CITY WALL MURAL: Homage To 1966 Batman TV Series

A Good Citizen named Perry sent this wonderful photo with some very interesting information. The TRADER JOE'S store in Culver City, California, had a mural on its wall that pays homage to the 1966 Batman TV series ( click on the above photo for a larger, more readable version ). It reads, "Commissoner, The prices at Trader Joes are so low, it's GOT to be a crime!", ha ha! The underneath the mural there's a painted plaque that says, "BATMAN The Television Series was filmed in Culver City from 1966-1968." Awesome!! Thank You Perry, this is in deed a great piece of Bat-History!

BATMAN AND ROBIN NEWS - Movie Ad Spotted in Egypt!

Here's an extremely awesome set of photos sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan all the way from Egypt! Yes, Egypt! His name is Myret & he wrote,
"Here are some pics I took in downtown Cairo of a building that has an advertisement of the "Batman and Robin" movie on it's side. It's been up since 1997, so it's a little bit rough around the edges, but it's still cool. The translation of what is written is "NOW IN ALL CINEMAS IN CAIRO AND ALEXANDRIA - BATMAN AND ROBIN!"WOW! Thank you so much Myret for sending this, it's totally GREAT! The fact that this wall mural ad has existed all this time & has never been painted-over is very cool news. I totally love this!

Leon's ADAM WEST BATMAN COSTUME DISPLAY Gets a Beautiful Wall Mural!

Hey Bat-Fans, Remember awhile back we posted a few shots of a cool manikin our friend Leon got to display his Custom Adam West Batman Costume? Well, it looks like he extended that project & decided to paint a giant-size Wall Mural has a backdrop! Oh man, it's really cool & they did a great job on it. Basically they used a scene from the animated opening credits of the Classic 1966 TV Series. It's the graphics of Gotham City with the Bat-Signal in the sky. How cool is that!! Here's a few "before, during, & after" shots. Just check out the pics showing it completed, it's great!! Now, Leon has an even cooler Bat-Cave! BATMAN ROOM: BATCAVE Custom Painted Wall Mural

I recently came across the website of an artist named Janet MacGregor. She lives in Vancouver, Washington & makes her living doing Custom Painted Murals for people. Her artwork is really nice & I was very impressed with this "Batman Room" she did ( Please click on the small photo up above for a larger photo with more detail ). One entire wall has a huge "Batcave Scene", complete with the Batmobile Car. It has the style of the "Batman: The Animated Series" cartoon, that's so awesome! The neat thing is that there is a secret door, that when closed, you can't see. You know I'm a HUGE fan of creativity & I thought everybody would get a kick out of seeing this! She has a lot of other non-Batman-related artwork that is just as cool. Please be sure to visit her site sometime, it's kinda fun. You can do so by clicking HERE!

Artist Eric Maruscak Creates Batman Mural with Chalk!

If you go to a lot of comic book conventions then you might have been lucky enough to view the "mural" artwork of Eric Maruscak in person. Eric creates HUGE works of art, in chalk, on the sidewalks near many events. The photo up above shows one he did recently. It features The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones, & Ironman. He did this both for the love of the characters & to celebrate the fact that there has finally been some really great movies this year. OK, I haven't seen the Indiana Jones movie yet but I can say that Ironman was pretty awesome! And of course you know that I love TDK, ha ha! I'm curious if any other readers have seen this guy's work. If so then please comment down below. Also, if you shot any photos of his stuff then please send it in to us, our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page, thanks.

Cute: Japanese School Children Paint Batman Mural in Japan!

I don't know why but as a serious Batman Fan & Toy Collector I have always been intrigued by the fact that Batman is very popular all around the world & I think it's cool that he's been adapted by so many different cultures. In other words, the fact that he is so "universal" is an interesting concept to me. Take this photo. Even though I am really into fine art & even sort of an "art snob" I have always loved the artwork of children. It's always very honest & has a sweet charm to it. I really love it & here's a great example. Here's a set of different murals done by Japanese school children for some project. It was done at the Ninomiya High School Festival in 2005. Can you spot Batman in the pic? ( I f you need the small picture to be bigger just click on it for a larger photo ). It's kinda hard to tell but he's operating a "shaved ice" snow cone machine, ha ha! Come on, ya gotta love that!

THE DARK KNIGHT ADVERTISING: Batman on Park Avenue!

In New York City, on the northeast corner of Park Ave and 23rd Street, a massive advertisement for the new DARK KNIGHT Batman film is being created. In an almost paint-by-numbers fashion this HUGE mural is taking forever to be painted. It gives the "event" an anticipation that must be driving fast-paced New Yorkers nuts! I seriously love these huge painted murals on buildings. This one, so far, looks like a beautiful piece of ART! Of course we all know it as the image to one of the many movie posters we have been seeing recently but to have it this HUGE is kind of exciting! I wish I could see it in real-life. I bet it's great. I wanna thank our new friend Michael, from Desedo Films, for sending this information. He writes a clever blog for his company that seems to really be into advertising & creativity, that's cool. I've included a link button down below. There are 2 more shots of the mural in progress there.

Batman's 1966 Batmobile Decorates Texas Restaurant!

Yesterday we received an e-mail from a loyal Bat-Blog Reader named Dave who wrote, "I went to a new restaurant last Friday. It's called YESTERDAY'S in Bridgeport, Texas, and is basically full of nostalgia. Attached, you'll find a picture that really peaked my interest. There's a sign that says it is original and authentic from 1966, but DO NOT TOUCH. Oh yeah, and the food was great also!" Thanks Dave for both the information & the photo. I checked out the URL you sent & it looks like a really cool place. The 1966 Batmobile Vending Machine Ride is always great to see. I really love those & want one badly! The other memorabilia they have is cool too. ( Click the photo for a larger version ). There's a '66 Life Magazine on the wall with the famous Adam West cover, some Batman Movie Posters ( not sure if those are real ), 2 Batman Pennants, some misc photos, a Red Bat-Phone ( that's funny ), & they even painted a "Bat-Signal Art Mural" on the wall....awesome! I love "Mom & Pop diner-type" places like this. They're usually way better than the corporate chains. I do go to Texas every now & then so next time, if I'm near there, I'm gonna have to make a visit to Yesterday's! ( Thanks Again Dave ). If any readers live near here & are interested please check it out, looks fun. Here's a link button for more info:
