OH YEAH - BATMAN is EVERYWHERE!!

Yes, I think that if you just try to notice you'll see that BATMAN is everywhere!! Here are a few examples sent to us recently by some loyal Bat-Blog Fans who are awesome. The 1st one is from our Friend "Batmobilly" who lives in Oklahoma City ( That's where I live too ). He went to the Warren Theater the other night to see THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and look at what he saw shining on the ceiling, the Bat-Signal!!

Then, a Friend of ours named Paul was driving the other day down the highway in Denver, Colorado and saw Batgirl's Car! Don't believe me? Just read the License Plate, ha!

Then, and I feel bad about this, a Fan sent us this pic awhile back and I forgot to write his name down and then forgot his name & where he's from. Yeah, I'm an Idiot! But I still appreciate him thinking about the BAT-BLOG and sending us this wonderful photo, it's GREAT! The basic story was he was on his way to work & saw the Batmobile! Yes, the Car of the Caped Crusader! Well, OK, it's not the real one but is "homemade". But still awesome.

Thanks to everyone who sent us these funny pics. Have YOU spotted any wacky Batman stuff in your town? If so, then please shoot us a photo with some basic information. Thanks!

New BATMAN MEGO DOLL Acyrlic Action Words for Display!

For a long time I have been a member of the MEGO MUSEUM Forum but have not participated in awhile because I've been so busy. If you're a Vintage Mego Doll Action Figure Toy Collector then you need to check it out. Anyways, a friend over at Facebook, named Jon, told me about this amazing new "Mego" Product some Artist is making. Basically, they're small custom made clear-acrylic standees that you put in front of your figures for display. They have the "action words" you might remember seeing on the 1966 BATMAN TV Show. Words like: Pow! Boff! & KaPow! I think these items are totally great & a very clever idea. Plus, they're only $8.00 which is a good price. Here's a LINK to check them out. ( Thanks Jon )

BATMAN CAR Spotted at Wal-Mart in Lynchburg, VA!

OK, This is pretty funny! A Friend of the Bat-Blog, Bobby, recently came across a fun BATMAN Car while shopping at a Wal-Mart in Lynchburg, Virginia. He just had to get this fun photo! Oh yeah, there it was, right there in the parking lot!! The car isn't totally customized or anything, It's just black with a HUGE Bat-Symbol Logo on the hood. But, still pretty cool. Thanks Bobby!

Hal's Custom BATMAN BAT-CYCLE Harley-Davidson Motorcycle!

Check out these awesome photos of a really great "Bat-Cycle"! This is a 1988 Harley Davidson FLHTP owned by our friend Hal. Originally, it was an old Police Bike that used to be in service in New Jersey. Hal removed all the Police-related items off of it and customized it a little bit with some fresh paint and Batman Bat-emblems. I really like that he kept the design sort of minimal. I mean, he didn't over-do it and that's important because with some "Bat-Vehicles" a lot of People just go totally crazy, ha! Now, don't get me wrong though, "extreme" can be cool too, but I really love this Bat-Bike. Good Job Hal, and Thanks for sharing these fun pics.

Celebrating BATMAN-INSPIRED CREATIVITY, Oh Yeah!

Here are some random images I have come across while surfing the web ( Yes, I have NO life ) that are both FUN and Batman-Related! The 1st photo is a beautifully made Custom CATWOMAN My Little Pony Figure done by an Artist named Mari Kasurinen. Of course, this is the version from the older BATMAN RETURNS Movie and not the NEW "Anne Hathaway" from "The Dark Knight Rises". To see more amazing Custom Toys just click HERE!

Next up is a Watercolor Painting that totally cracks me up! Here are 2 characters from "The Imaginary World" of a Cartoonist named Dan Goodsell. He has a comic strip called "Mr. Toast" and these are his 2 friends, JOE THE EGG and SHAKY BACON dressed-up as the Dynamic Duo! Dan's artwork is a lot of fun and once you start reading it you'll be totally hooked, check this out, click HERE!

OK, The last photo is one I came across on a Cosplay Website. Somebody made a very clever CLAYFACE Costume from the "Batman: The Animated Series" TV Cartoon. This is a character you never see done. I guess because it would be both a nightmare to create and to wear, ha! But you gotta give this person credit, he did an extremely amazing job!

YAMAHA CUSTOM 1966 BATMAN TV Show BAT-CYCLE For Sale in Canada

Check out these great photos from a Classified Ad in Canada! It appears that somebody there is selling their Custom 1966 Yamaha BATMAN TV SHOW BAT-CYCLE Motorcycle. The asking price is only around 15-Thousand, which seems pretty fair to me considering how much a brand-new motorcycle costs. Plus, this one is both "Vintage" and "Totally Bad Ass", ha ha! For more information be sure to click HERE. Oh yeah, one last thing, my Birthday is in January, on the 19th. So if you need my mailing address to send this to me then please let me know. VIDEO - CUSTOM BATMOBILE - Thomas' 2010 Dodge Challenger

Awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog.Com, I posted a photo of this amazing Bat-Car that was customized to look like a Batmobile. Well, it doesn't have huge fins or anything, ha! But the paint job colors and other accessories are totally inspired by George Barris' 1966 TV Show Car. It's a completely beautiful 2010 Dodge Challenger! Then, like a total Moron, I said it was a Mustang, ha!

Hey, sometimes BAT-BLOG GUY doesn't get much sleep or hasn't had his coffee yet, ha!

But anyways, the car is owned by a guy named Thomas and he was nice enough to send us this very cool video. In it, he explains a lot about where he got some of the special car parts or who did the work. You get to see a lot of details, which are nice. So, check it out and enjoy! ( Thanks Thomas for sharing this, it's great! And, I get to borrow the ride someday, right?)

Jerry's Amazing Bat-Bike and Bat-Beard!

OK, I know the Bat-Blog has gone kinda crazy covering last week's NJ COMIC EXPO but we have been getting some really fun stuff to share so here we go, ha! Check out this extremely Cool Totally-Customized BAT-BIKE made by a Batman Fan named Jerry! I like the bat-shaped windsheild & other bat-pieces. This bicycle is great fun. Plus, over the years, Jerry has had it signed by many famous BATMAN TV & Movie Actors ( Adam West, Burt Ward, etc... ) and even George Barris ( the Guy who made the Original 1966 Batmobiles ). He probably got all the Special Guests at this show to sign it.

Then, as I was viewing this photo, I realized something about Jerry's beard, it's trimmed to look like the bat-symbol logo, WOW! Hey, it's THE BAT-BEARD!! I've seen tattoos & even fancy haircuts, but never a "beard", AWESOME!

CUSTOM BATMAN CAR - Fantasy BATMOBILE Replica in Thailand!

This is a quick post to share some really fun photos from our Good Friend BAT-CAT. He lives in Thailand & it seems he is always going to some BATMAN Toy Exhibit somewhere. Yeah, I'm jealous, ha! Here is an event at a Thailand Shopping Mall. It was called, "THE PARADE OF COLLECTIVE ITEMS FROM THE MOVIES". There, they had this amazing BATMOBILE Fantasy Replica Car. OK, I call it a "Fantasy Car" because it's not an actual replica of a "real Batmobile", but one that the Custom Car Designer dreamed-up. Check out the photos, especially the shot of the interior. This car is very detailed and looks like a lot of fun! ( Thanks for the great pics Bat-Cat! )

BATMAN + CARTOON CHARACTERS = Funny Parody Humor!

This quick post is a collection of funny pictures that revolve around the idea of Batman being mutated with other well-known Cartoon Characters. The examples include a T-Shirt Design with Winnie The Pooh & Piglet as the Dynamic Duo, ha! A reinterpretation of the Golden Age Batman origin story, but instead of a BAT crashing through the window of Wayne Manor it just happens to be a Pokemon creature, ha! Then, last but not least, is a Custom-Made Action Figure showing Patrick, from the Spongebob Squarepants Show, as the Dark Knight, ha!!

These Custom Made BATMAN Toys ROCK!

Here's a quick post to share a few photos sent in by 2 Bat-Blog Fans named John & Mike. They're both very creative people & have made some really cool Custom BATMAN Toys!

John's story goes like this:
For awhile he's been into finding old broken action figures & improving them. He said he has always wanted to do a Custom "Comic Action Penguin" & he recently found a broken one he could work on. Now, for people who don't know, "Comic Action" Figures were made around 1976 by MEGO & they practically have a cult following. One thing about them, that gives them a lot of charm, is that they were kinda cheesy, ha! But John gave his figure some new legs & custom paint job. The result is pretty impressive.

Mike's story goes like this:
Mike is a Father of 2 kids who totally love Cartoon Network's BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD animated series. They love to play with the toys and action figures of the characters from the TV show. But the problem was, no matter how hard they looked, they could never find the "Robin" figure & really wanted one. So, their Dad made them the 2 shown here. The 1st photo shows how he made a Robin figure to go with the regular Batman Action Figure from the toy line by Mattel. The 2nd photo shows a custom "Robin" toy of an "Action League" mini-figure. So, 2 different toy lines are covered here. Plus, Mike did an amazing job on these & the kids totally love playing with them! Thanks to both Toy Custom Artists for sharing their work. We want to invite all other Bat-Blog Fans out there to do the same.

Glenn's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS With CATWOMAN Dolls and 1967 BATGIRL Model Kit

Check out these amazing Custom Catwoman Dolls, Batgirl Model Kit, & Re-Designed Retro-Style Batman Toys! These were all made and or customized by our friend Glenn, also known as "infadoll". He likes to take old beat-up toys and give them new life. His main focus is Superhero-related characters. Shown here are two versions of Catwoman. The 1st one is Julie Newmar from the 1966 BATMAN TV Series. The fabric for the costume looks great & the necklace is really nice too. Then you have the "Golden Age" version from the 1940's comic books...MEOW!

The 3rd photo shows his talent for adding dioramas to his model kits. Here is a "Yvonne Craig" Batgirl from the 2nd season of TV's BATMAN. Wow, the face looks just like hers! Then, look at the last 2 pics. This is an old Vintage 1960's Palmolive BATMAN SOAKY Bubble Bath Bottle... transformed into ADAM WEST! If you're not familiar with the old toy it was actually extremely simple-looking & basic. In Glenn's version he detailed it quite a bit & made it more authentic to the TV Show, Coolness! He has a pretty awesome website & there is actually way more there that I can't post. So, if you enjoy his work, then click HERE!

Videos - World's ONLY Turbine-Powered BATMOBILE Car!

OK, this is BATMAN FANDOM to the Extreme! You gotta love it! A cool Bat-Fan named Casey Putsch recently built his very own Batmobile Car! It's modeled after the 1989 BATMAN Movie version. Now, you're probably thinking, "Hey, there's a ton of those out there!". Well, NOT like this one. He used a a Boeing turbine engine from a decommissioned military helicopter!! Yes, this thing is really turbo!! It's just like it was intended in the movie, but real, ha! Just check out the videos down below & you'll see. Plus, be sure to crank-up your speakers because you can hear the modified turbine engine roar! This EXTREME!! ( Thanks Jordan & Mike ).

Ryan's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS - Mighty Muggs Madness!

The Bat-Blog totally digs creativity, in any form, and here's a GREAT example! Here are some photos from a Fan who likes to create Custom Batman Toys. He takes Hasbro MIGHTY MUGGS Figures & repaints them. Now, for Non-Toy-Collector-People out there who don't know, Hasbro has the license to make Marvel Comics Superhero Characters & Mattel does DC Comics. So, since Mighty Muggs are made by Hasbro then they will NEVER do any BATMAN Figures. So, for the people who want them your only choice is to... customize them!

Our Friend Ryan has done an extremely excellent job on his Customs. First up is Robin & he looks great! He has also done Bane, Clayface, Batman, & Azrael. Please check out the photos because they are AWESOME!! The Bane & Clayface are my 2 top favorites, then Robin. Which ones do you like?

I wanna thank Ryan for sharing these pics & if you want to see more of his cool artwork then just click HERE!

Custom Art BATMAN LOGO SYMBOLS Metal Sculpture

The BAT-BLOG recently had a fan named Thomas send us these pictures to share and they're pretty interesting. Thomas has a friend who is a Sculptor & Product Designer who does custom artwork with metal. Thomas said, "I always thought it was pretty cool and he made really awesome stuff, but I never thought it would be anything I'd want to buy... until NOW!" Ha! What he's talking about is this amazing BATMAN SYMBOL LOGO Wall Relief Sculpture. Meaning, that it has a sort of 3D quality about it. Batman Fans will all know the symbols used here. Basically we got the "Classic Yellow Oval", then the more "Modern-Day" version. Then on top of that is the current logo used for the movie franchise...WOW! I gotta say that this piece of art is really cool & looks extremely well-done. If you enjoy CUSTOM ART, then please be sure to visit the Artist's website. His name is Elliott Bowser & you can see his stuff HERE! ( Thanks Thomas )
