THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Batman Themed Home Movie Theater Man Cave

 

Check out the photos up above & please be sure to click on them for larger HD versions. This is a special room in my new house. I recently remodeled my basement into a Bat-Cave & I gotta say it looks pretty awesome!! OK, this is NOT my house but a man can dream, right? 

Basically, it's a Super Batman-Themed Home Movie Theater, or... the Ultimate Man Cave! One nice feature is a Set of Fake Bookcases that slide open by remote to reveal another room next to this one that has a Tumbler Batmobile (Replica) Garage! 

There are also some some amazing Life-Size Batman Statues, a Bat-Computer Set-Up, Gothic-Style Lighting, Custom Railing with Film Bat-Symbol Logos, and then just look at the screen itself... AMAZING!! Oh man, how much did this cost? LOL!! Now, I'm not really sure what company did all this but they did an incredible job. One thing I can say though is that the special Leather Chairs were supplied by ELITE Home Theater Seating. OK, I'm just going to go cry now.

OH YEAH - BATMAN is EVERYWHERE!!

Yes, I think that if you just try to notice you'll see that BATMAN is everywhere!! Here are a few examples sent to us recently by some loyal Bat-Blog Fans who are awesome. The 1st one is from our Friend "Batmobilly" who lives in Oklahoma City ( That's where I live too ). He went to the Warren Theater the other night to see THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and look at what he saw shining on the ceiling, the Bat-Signal!!

Then, a Friend of ours named Paul was driving the other day down the highway in Denver, Colorado and saw Batgirl's Car! Don't believe me? Just read the License Plate, ha!

Then, and I feel bad about this, a Fan sent us this pic awhile back and I forgot to write his name down and then forgot his name & where he's from. Yeah, I'm an Idiot! But I still appreciate him thinking about the BAT-BLOG and sending us this wonderful photo, it's GREAT! The basic story was he was on his way to work & saw the Batmobile! Yes, the Car of the Caped Crusader! Well, OK, it's not the real one but is "homemade". But still awesome.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Director Christopher Nolan Set To Appear at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on JULY 7th

Batman Dark Knight Trilogy creator & Director Christopher Nolan is set to receive the ultimate star treatment at Grauman's Chinese Theatre ( Los Angeles, CA ) this Saturday, July 6th. The ceremony begins at 10:00am. Yes, that's tomorrow!! Nolan will have his hands and footprints placed in cement. Many other Batman Stars are rumored to be there.

AN EVENING WITH ADAM WEST - January 28th, This Saturday!

We already posted this news on the Bat-Blog but I thought since it's closer to the event some people might need a reminder. Yes! ADAM WEST is going to appear LIVE on the stage of the Jon Lovitz Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The event is this Saturday, January 28th, 2012. Our friend from KROQ Radio, Ralph Garman, is going to be hosting an "Inside The Actor's Studio" style interview that will last for 2 hours, they will talk about Adam's life and long career. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - OPERATION EARLY BIRD Website Features Movie Theater Map

OK, The Viral Marketing for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES finally kicked in! The website they created to start everything, OPERATION EARLY BIRD, has posted a map of the world ( mostly the USA ) where you can get details for the PROLOGUE to the film to be presented at IMAX Movie Theaters on December 13th, 2011, at 10:00 pm. I was there when the timer went off and I guess it crashed from so many visitors? Ha Ha! But here's a MAP to check out the locations. None of them are remotely close to me so I guess some of us will have to wait until it's shown online. It will probably be the 1st few minutes of the movie. They did this with THE DARK KNIGHT and it was the "Bank Robbery" scene, about 5 or 7 minutes if I remember right. Stay tuned to the BAT-BLOG.COM for more DARK KNIGHT RISES Viral Marketing News!

BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour Starts Tonight in the UK!!

Oh yeah! If you're lucky enough to live in, or near, England then you know that today is the day that the very 1st BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour show starts tonight! It will be in Manchester & I am already totally super-jealous, JEALOUS!! It will run for 6 nights from July 19th - 24th at the Manchester Evening News Arena. BATMAN & VILLAINS Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday

OK, it's the middle of the day & I am finally posting the "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday " backgrounds. I know, "I'm Late", ( sorry ) but really I was working on the Bat-Blog almost all night ( technical issues ) & slept in late. So, like my Grandmother used to say, "Better late, than never!" But, I think you'll enjoy these backgrounds so here we go! The 1st one was made by me using some graphics I found at the DC Comics website. The visuals were just too awesome to NOT make into a wallpaper, ha! Plus, besides Batman, there are some cool villains: Catwoman & The Penguin! The next wallpaper, I'm very proud to say, was sent in by a Bat-Blog Contributing Artist named Sean Hartter. Both the artwork & art direction are really great! He came up with this very clever idea of making a fake issue of PLAYBILL. These are small booklets you used to get when you went to the theater of a Broadway play. Ironically, it looks EXACTLY like an original issue...making it a wonderful parody. Now the other thing that's pretty funny is that, to give it a heightened sense of realism, he used the real names of famous actors & writers. The play is titled "BATMAN: The Joker's Five Way Revenge", which is a very classic comic book story actually written by Dennis O'Neil. Plus, the 2 real-life Famous Actors are John Barrymore & Lon Chaney. The picture is an actual photo of them but shopped with the Batman & Joker costumes...awesome! It also says that the play was produced by Robert Kane ( Bob Kane ). Which is funny because he's the guy who "created" Batman. I'm not surprised that Bill Finger didn't get a mention, ouch!

The Superheroine Monologues - A Parody Of Super Proportions

OK, If you happen to be in the Boston area next month then you will not want to miss this wacky play at the theater called "The Superheroine Monologues". It will open in the Plaza Theater at the Boston Center of the Arts on September 10th & will run until Sept 26th, 2009. The entire cast are Superheroes and Superheroines ( Both Marvel & DC Comics ) & the show is mainly from the female point of view. Now, I gotta say that I totally love this Batgirl outfit ( shown in the photo up above )! Plus, the Riddler & Penguin costumes are pretty nice too.
