Here is our Good Buddy Desmond. He's a very cool little kid and what's even cooler is, he's a HUGE Batman Fan! I mean, this Kid is totally coo-coo crazy for the Dark Knight! Well, here's a photo of him that his Mom recently emailed to us because he wanted us to all see his brand-new BATMAN Shoes. These are special Converse Sneakers and you can find them at Journey's. I really like the design of these and they're perfect for children. Oh yeah, you might notice in the 1st pic that Desmond is also sporting a cool Batman Logo T-Shirt AND Bat-Sunglasses!

In Argentina, in 1978 & '79, DC Comics teamed up with Pepsi-Cola for a very cool DC SUPER HERO Promotion! They had special Super Hero Bottle Caps placed on their Pepsi Soda Pop Bottles with very cool graphics of a comic book hero or villain. Quite a few of them were Batman-related so that's what you see in the 1st photo, click on it for a larger version. They made ones for Batman, Robin, Commissioner Gordon ( Comisionado Gordon ), Batgirl ( Batichica ), Bruce Wayne ( Bruno Diaz ), The Joker, The Riddler ( El Acertijo ), The Penguin ( Pinguino ), Catwoman ( Gatubela ), Ra's Al Ghul ( Ragul ), & The Scarecrow ( El Espantapajaros ). The next two photos show a special in-store Paper Place Mat that contained a "Collector Board" on one side ( in color ) & a "Checker Game" on the other. These photos also show the other Bottle Caps of Superman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Flash, etc...so be sure to click on one of those to see them! I gotta say that I am totally loving the vintage graphics on all of this stuff, great stock art! The last photo is a super close-up of the BATICHICA Bottle Cap. I really love the sound of that word, Batichica! Speaking of her, these photos were all sent in by our good friend Milotik who lives in Argentina ( Thank You! ). These DC Comics Bottle Caps are a part of his amazing Batgirl Toy Collection. You see, Milotik's main collecting focus is on her & that's very cool. OK Now, This is pretty cool! You might have read here at the Bat-Blog before about a company in the UK called Eaglemoss who issue those special DC Super Hero Collection Lead Figures ( In England they call them "figurines", oh la la ). They make these very small, but very detailed, mini-figures of all the DC Comics comic book characters cast in lead. This company is going crazy! I mean, there are like almost 40 something of these figures now! Well, anyway, they have this new "Special Edition" one coming out soon called BATMAN AND THE BATCYCLE. Oh man! It looks pretty awesome! Now before you totally fall in love please keep in mind that this Bat-Cycle is probably NOT a large full-size statue. If ya wanna see how small these things are then be sure to click the "Figurines" Tab at their website. You'll see a photo of an artist employee painting one. Do you remember when you could hit your favorite fast food restaurant & get a cool Promo Glass...made out of real glass! Well, a few years ago ( around 2004 ) a company called POPFUN MERCHANDISING started to make a new product called TOON TUMBLERS. Basically they're high-quality Character Glasses with awesome graphics. They started out using children's comic book & TV cartoon characters like Underdog, Harvey Comics, Bullwinkle, etc...then they started to do Marvel Comics Superheroes. Once I saw the Marvel characters I knew it wouldn't be long until they started doing DC Comics Comic Book Characters. Well, they have finally arrived! Shown here are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Firestorm, Sgt. Rock, & The Joker! OK, you know which two I'm gonna have to get ( Batman & Joker, Duh! )! But the ones of Sgt. Rock & Superman are pretty cool too! I like the fact that the Batman Glass uses Neal Adams' artwork from the 1970's & The Joker glass features graphics by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez ( or is it Dick Giordano's art?
