VINTAGE BATMAN MOVIES - TV Ad Commercials From Greece!

Check out these fun "Batman Movie" TV Commercial Promo Videos from Greek Television. Yes, these were shown in Greece! The other cool thing is that they are vintage commercials for some of the older movies: Batman Returns (1992), Batman and Robin (1997), and Batman Begins (2005)! Besides being foreign I also like how they are edited to be way more fun and exciting, ha!

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - New Batman Movie Advertising Around The Globe!!

OK, as a Major Batman Fan I totally love to see how popular the "Caped Crusader" is all over the world. I think it's really cool & I love the fact that many people all over the globe get to enjoy the character too! Here are some wonderful examples sent in to us from fans.

The 1st pic is all the way from Denmark and shows an incredible piece of advertising for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie. Look how HUGE that banner is, very cool! Plus, they made it look like there is a "giant hole" in the building, ha! ( Thanks Erik )

Next-up is a "Facebook Cover Photo" advertising THE DARK KNIGHT RISES but both the language & font is Greek. Our friend Marcio, who lives in Athens, Greece, gave this to us. It's so cool! ( Thanks Marcio ).

Then, last but not least, is a really great example of a "Foreign Batman Movie Poster". It is all in Bulgarian & was mentioned to us by our good friend Zdravko who lives in Bulgaria. He's ultra-excited about seeing this new film. ( Thanks Z! )

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Greek Movie Poster and International Trailer

Over at our BAT-BLOG Facebook Page we have a friend named Christos who lives in Athens, Greece. Yeah, how cool is that?! Well, he was nice enough to share this really cool news about his country having the "Greek version" of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Poster and the "International Trailer" they get to see there. They're both pretty awesome! The Movie Poster is neat to see with the beautiful "foreign" lettering and the Film Trailer, which is in English, shows a few scenes I have not seen yet... but, with NO spoilers. ( Thanks Christos )

HAPPY NEW YEARS - Batman Comic Books From Around The Globe!

Since today is the first day of a brand-new year, 2012, I thought I would celebrate with some wacky BATMAN Foreign Comic Book Covers from around the World! Now, I'm not sure if this first image is CHINESE or KOREAN but I'm sort of leaning toward KOREA, ha! If anyone knows then please let me know. I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just stupid and I only know how to read English, ha! But the cover is crazy beautiful!!

The next two covers are bootlegs from Turkey called BATMEN! That one with the yellow cover that features the Joker, I have that "English" version, how funny! These are extremely RARE!
The next two photos are not actually covers, but are a few pages from inside another foreign reprint comic book and these are from GREECE. I totally love their Greek FONT with the unique letters.
Last, but not least, is a special ITALIAN version of a 1966 BATMAN TV Show Book. OK, I know that's not an actual comic book but it's still fun! Hey, do you live in another part of the world and have a few Batman comics from your country? If so, then please send us some pics, thanks!

Holy Bootleg Toys, Batman!

Awhile back a good friend to the Bat-Blog, named Andreas, sent us a few photos of his "Bootleg Batman" Collection. I posted some back then but decided to wait a little bit before releasing more. You see, he collects both new & Vintage Batman Toys but one thing he likes to focus on are the wacky-crazy bootleg toys that get made all over the globe. The 1st toy is actually a pin-back button with candy attached. I think he got this in the UK where they don't say "pins" but call them badges. ( Or was it Mexico? Sorry, forgot ). It's a rip-off of the Bat-Signal Symbol. The 2nd photo is a "Super Heroes" Action Figure. The Blister Card features graphics with DC Comics, Marvel Comics, AND Power Rangers characters...strange. Also, if you make Batman RED & SILVER, then I guess it's not copyright infringement, ha ha! The next photo is also an action figure but this one is from Greece. They gave him a trident which is more of a weapon for Aquaman, ha ha. The 4th pic is sort of an action figure. Well, it's a "Marble Shooter". Which is kinda weird because kids don't really play with marbles much anymore. This bootlegger must have been in his 80's, "Kids love them marble games, aahhhh". The other weird thing is a Power Ranger makes an appearance on the card & isn't that small picture of a monster a villain on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? The figure is kinda nice though, an "Animated Series" Batman. The last picture is the best. Yeah, I saved the best for last! This is a Batman Theme Song Tribute Vinyl Record with AWESOME Batman Graphics. If I remember right these were made in France, or maybe the UK, & they're extremely cool! Plus, these are great quality unlike most bootlegs. Now, the main reason for posting these, other than a good laugh, is to show the history of the Batman Toys. I love the bootleg stuff but don't go out of my way to hunt it down or pay for it. If I come across it at a flea market or garage sale really cheap I'll get it for a funny display piece. I wanna thank Andreas for taking the time to shoot these photos & for sharing, that's great, thanks!!

Old VINTAGE BATMAN Toys, Momorabilia, & Merchandise From Around The Globe!

Everything "Batman" on the internet lately has been the "Dark Knight, Dark Knight, Dark Knight" so I thought I would pop-up some old school merchandise! I also thought I would put an interesting twist on it & show stuff from around the world. Here we go! The 1st item is from both the 1960's & the UK so it's pretty RARE! This is a vintage package of BATMAN CANDY CIGARETTES. I seriously love the old retro graphics, it even has the 60's Batman Logo, nice! The 2nd piece of Bat-History is from Greece! This was an officially issued Coca-Cola BATMAN SODA POP CAN made around the time of the 1989 Batman Movie, very RARE too! The next item is one of my favorites. It's a box of JAPANESE 1960's BATMAN PLAYING CARDS, of course, from Japan! The last item is very special also. It's a BATMAN POCKET WATCH with retro-graphics of The PENGUIN Villain. The cool thing about this watch is that it's animated. The "Penguin Animal" you see standing next to him, it rocks back & forth with crazy movement! This baby is from the UK ( 1960's ) & is so RARE it's what we could easily call a "Museum Piece". One last thing, this is a message to all our friends from around the world. If you have photos of RARE Batman Memorabilia then please send them to us!! Sharing the love of the character & collecting is what the Bat-Blog is all about!!
