OK, This post was created to share some wonderful photos from our Good Friend, Damian. This guy has been working on the perfect BATMAN Bat-Suit for a few years now and really has something cool going. These are some pics where he recently attended the SUPANOVA Show in full-costume. Supanova is a Pop Culture Expo in Australia that just celebrated it's 10th anniversary. The photos pretty much explain themselves so I won't go on about that but if you're interested in learning more about this event then just Click HERE! BATMAN ART Gets the DR SEUSS STYLE Treatment!

In Australia there is a very talented Graphic Artist named Dr. Faustus who has done some amazing parodies of Dr. Seuss Artwork that is Batman-related! I've been a HUGE Dr. Seuss Fan forever and even collect the books plus a few vintage toys. Reading his books at age 4 gave a life-long LOVE of reading and that's a debt I can never repay. I'm very proud to say that I have a RARE 1957 First Edition Hardback with Dust-Jacket Copy of "THE CAT IN THE HAT", a True Literary Classic! Now, I'm not trying to brag, ha ha, I just want people to know that I'm pretty serious about my love of anything DR SEUSS!

So, you can only imagine how I feel about this artwork, it's INSANELY GREAT! First, as a parody, they're just funny. The one of TWO-FACE really cracks me up for some reason & the CATWOMAN Cat-Suit is wonderful. But the thing that makes them true masterpieces of ART is the ultra-fine details in copying the exact drawing style of Seuss! Faustus has done some other parodies, which are worth mentioning, but because we focus on "Batman" here I'll just post this LINK, please click it to see more great stuff!

BATMAN and VAL KILMER At The 2011 SUPERNOVA POP CULTURE EXPO in Australia!

Last Saturday, November 5th, the 2011 SUPERNOVA POP CULTURE EXPO went on in Brisbane, Australia. Our friend "Batdag" was there dressed-up as the Dark Knight and recently he shared some amazing photos with us. As you can see his Bat-Suit Costume is pretty amazing. It seems like everybody loves Batman! Speaking of that character, he also got to meet the Guest of Honor, Val Kilmer!! Yeah, it was sort of like "Batman Meets Batman" ( check out the last photo ). Another cool factor of the festivities were all the great Cosplay people. There costumes are always very cool to see. I wanna thank Batdag for sharing his wonderful pics. It looks like everybody had a great time! Also, for a Local Australian TV News Report on this event please be sure to click HERE!

Random BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Video Game News

Just a quick post to share a few bits of BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Video Game news. First, in the UK, you'll be able to find this new XBOX 360 Magazine with The Joker on the cover. Then, here's another beautiful photo of the BATMAN ARKHAM CITY Billboard that was seen at this year's 2011 San Diego Comic Con.

Also, we have news on some brand-new "Foreign Exclusives".

We have already been hearing about all the Foreign "Collectors Editions" with different Batman SKINS. Now there's news of EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK Editions in other countries. The 1st two to surface ( and there will be many more probably, ha! ) is the UK Store SHOPTO & the Australian Video Game Store EB GAMES. For the UK edition they will have Two-Face on the back cover. Then, the Aussies will have the Joker ( I like the Joker one better ). It looks like you also get a cool 1970's Batman Skin plus a few other bonuses in each one. But, for the price, so far I'm thinking the "Collector Edition" would be better because you get the Batman Statue. These just have a "steelbook" case. I don't know, it's really too early to tell. I think we all need to see the final releases on all this stuff. Please stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.Com for more future news. Also, just a friendly warning. If you do buy any of the "Foreign" stuff, Please be sure to ask the retailer if these discs will work on "American" Game Consoles.

BATMAN MEMORABILIA From Around the Globe!

I don't know what my fascination is with "Foreign Batman items" but that sort of stuff is really cool! Plus it's very hard to find. Here's some great examples: The 1st photo shows a JAPANESE POTATO CHIP BAG with a 1989 BATMAN movie promotion. Now, how wacky is that! Speaking of "Japanese", right now my heart goes out to all the people of Japan. The recent events there are such a tragedy. Let's hope things get better soon. The next pic features a 1980's German-Language BATMAN Comic Book... from Germany ( Duh!, ha! ). The the last group of photos are vintage Batman items from Australia. These Australian comics are from the 1970's. So, what do you think? Is this stuff kinda cool!? Hey, I got a question, Do YOU have any foreign bat-items you would like to share? If so, then please send us some pics today. Remember, the Bat-Blog is all about sharing information about the joys of collecting.

CRAZY CRAZY BATMAN! The Art of GRANT HUNTER!

One of my favorite things about the internet is getting to meet new people from all around the world. It's so cool how you can just spark a casual conversation with somebody, anywhere! Like here, I recently met this guy named Grant Hunter. He's an Artist & Illustrator living in Newcastle, Australia. His artwork is really great! It looks sort of child-like and very abstract. It's also slightly Gothic looking too. Well, I'm sorry, it's really kind of hard for me to describe but if you look at it you'll get the idea. It's some very cool stuff!! Shown here are 2 recent Batman Drawing he has done. Also, if you wanna see more than just click HERE!

Video - Vintage Corgi Action Toys TV Commercial - Batmobile and Bat-Copter

Here is a cool vintage Corgi Action Toys TV commercial from 1981 from Australia. It features popular heroes like Batman, Buck Rodgers and James Bond. It shows the Batmobile on the verge of falling off a skyscraper ( How did that car get up there? ). But don't worry, it's saved by the Bat-Copter!

Gotham's Finest Do Good Work for Children's Leukemia Charity in Australia!

Here are some pictures of our friend Paul in his amazing Batman bat-suit costume. He belongs to a group of amateur costumers in Brisbane, Australia called Gotham's Finest. They like to attend charity events and help raise funds for worthwhile causes. Recently they attended the "World's Greatest Shave" for the Leukemia Foundation of Queensland. They had an absolutely fantastic day, AND helped raise funds for research into finding a cure for leukemia at the same time...that's AWESOME! My thanks goes out to Paul & his Gotham's Finest group for sending us the fun pictures but, more importantly, thanks for helping raise money for such a wonderful charity!
