Our friend Stephen just got back from Wizard World Chicago 2010 & sent us these totally wonderful pics. Guess who he got to meet? He met Adam West ( 1966 Batman ), Burt Ward ( Robin, The Boy Wonder ), and Julie Newmar ( Catwoman )...all on the same day!! Oh man, I'm jealous...JEALOUS!! But I'm happy for him, it must have been totally super-cool to visit with the actors from the '66 BATMAN TV Show. Plus, the photos came out really good. Thanks for sending them Stephen. Yeah, I'm still jealous.
OK, I'm totally jealous here!! While on Facebook the other night I thought I would go over to my friend John's page to see what he's been up to lately & say, "Howdy". Well, when I got there he had just posted this really great pic! He recently went to that C2E2 Comic Book Convention in Chicago. I really really wanted to go to this thing but couldn't do it this year. Anyway, while he was there, he got to meet KEVIN CONROY!! Yes, the Voice Actor who created Batman's voice for the Batman: The Animated Series TV Cartoon, the Arkham Asylum Video Game, etc...Batman! Now, just to clarify, Kevin is on the left & John is the guy in the bat-suit, ha! Yes, John also has an extremely amazing 1966 Batman TV Costume, Adam West Style! He said that meeting Mr. Conroy was a total thrill & I believe it! I've heard that he's very gracious & overall a pretty nice guy, that's cool. Plus, in my own personal opinion, he's the greatest "Batman Voice" out there! Thanks to John for allowing me to publish this wonderful photo, I'm still jealous!

Our friend Matt sent these 2 very cool photos showing him at the actual location where one part of THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie was filmed in Chicago. Do you remember the now-classic scene in the movie trailer where the Joker is standing in the street & Batman whips the Bat-Pod motorcycle around, then there's a close-up of the Joker ( Heath Ledger ) looking back? Well, this is that street! Ever since seeing that famous scene I knew that this exact location would be a super-famous tourist spot! I mean, it's gonna be like that cross-walk in England where the Beatles shot that Abbey Road cover!! Chicago is a beautiful city & I know that the next time I'm there I am gonna have to get a shot like this, ha ha! Matt, thank you for sharing these pics, they're great, good job! But, could you please send me the address of this street because a million readers are gonna ask, ha ha! Just please leave a comment & they can read it there, thanks again.

This morning I was very happily surprised to find this awesome photo in my e-mail. It's from a friend in Chicago, named Joe, who got a HUGE Batman Tattoo on his back recently. The photo shows the preliminary "black line stage". He wrote, "Again, from Patrick Cornolo of Speakeasy Custom Tattoo, I finally got a proper Batman tattoo in time for the new movie coming out! It's actually a work in progress, as I only got the line work completed and will get the coloring done later. The image came from DC Comics' Secret Origins title from the 1980s. To make it a little more personal, I had Patrick redesign the background based on our home base here in Chicago. I'll forward another picture when I get the tattoo in full color, same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!". WOW! Dude, it's HUGE! That must have hurt, ha ha! So far it looks really good & I know Patrick's work, so when it's done, it's gonna be totally awesome. He does great work. Thank you very much for sending the photo & I have included a link button so readers can see more of Patrick Cornolo's tattoo art work ( it's nice eye-candy ). One last thing, please remember to send that photo once it's done...we can't wait to see it!
This is a pretty interesting video with some RARE footage. It has a mixture of still photos & moving video...nice! Seeing the "Gotham City Bank" is kind of neat.
