The JUNIOR BATSQUAD Strikes Back!!

The JUNIOR BATSQUAD is a group of Kids living in New Jersey who are all total Batman Fans, they're AWESOME! Well, these photos are from a recent field trip where they got to visit a Super BATMAN Toy Collector who has a ton of cool collectibles. While there they goofed around & took these fun pics for the Bat-Blog.



In the 1st one they holding up an extremely RARE Autographed Framed Photo of Lewis Wilson as BATMAN, from the 1943 Serial Movies. I guess you could say he was the very 1st Batman Actor! Sadly, he died in 2000 at the golden age of 80. It's an extremely cool photo.



Next, the Kids are playing with a 1967 BATMAN Movie Prop. Actually, it's a Replica of the BOMB made famous by Adam West. I love the pose of the Boy holding it, just like West in the film, hilarious!!

THE BOY WHO LOVED BATMAN Book Signing Event on August 20th with Michael Uslan

This Saturday, on August 20th, Michael Uslan will be holding a BATMAN Event at Ashbury Park, the Famous Boardwalk in New Jersey, to promote his new memoir book, "THE BOY WHO LOVED BATMAN". Of course we're talking about the Executive Producer of all the recent Batman Films so this should be pretty cool! There will be a Book Signing, Lectures, Drinks, & they'll show the original 1989 BATMAN Movie on the Beach! Plus, the entire thing will be free! Well, you might have to pay for your own drinks, ha! But there is no admission cost.



Plus, There will also be five original Batmobile Cars from Gotham City Supercars sprinkled all over the Boardwalk. Down below is the basic schedule for the event. Then, there's a photo of our good friend, Bat-Chick, she's standing next to an original promo poster she spotted on the Boardwalk in NJ.

The schedule includes:

Noon - 1:30PM: The day starts off at 12 PM at The Sundry Times, Asbury's Beach Shop and News Stand, where fans will have their first opportunity to meet Michael Uslan LIVE and in person to purchase their own copy of "The Boy Who Loved Batman" and have it signed.



2:00PM - 4:00PM: Located at the top of the First Avenue Pavilion on the AP Boardwalk, Watermark is an upscale lounge where there will be a very special discussion and Q & A. There, Michael takes questions in this intimate insider look behind this amazing career.



6:00PM - 8:00PM: The next stop is The Beach Bar, located off of the 5th Avenue Boardwalk on the Oceanside deck adjacent to the world famous Convention Hall. Here, you can take a small break & enjoy specialty beverages while you take in the unbelievable view.



8:30PM - 10:30PM: Finally, you will finish this amazing day with a very special screening of the Classic 1989 BATMAN Movie on the Beach with a special introduction from Michael. Yes, Re-live all of the thrilling action and adventure in this epic film experience... like you never have before!

I thought I would experiment with a new idea of, each week, posting a cool Batman item I come across on eBay, that is still for sale. Now, this is NOT an invitation for eBay Slaves to spam me with what they're selling, ha! ( That's not gonna happen! ) I'll just find something fun & post it on my own. This item is pretty cool. DREW HANGS OUT WITH BATMAN and ROBIN - Here's Photographic Proof !

Oh man, I am so jealous of this photo & proud of it too. The Bat-Blog has a new friend named Drew who really got to meet his favorite superheroes in person! We're talking about Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder!! Actually, we're talking about Burt Ward and Adam West!! The Actors from the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show were at a Comic Book Convention recently where Drew got to take this wonderful photo. Man, what a great pic! Another cool thing is that it is also signed by both guys... this is a complete treasure! Thank you Drew for sharing this, YOU ROCK Dude!!

Heath Ledger Autographed Bowling Pin Spotted in Famous New York City Landmark!

Here's a great story! We have 2 friends named Dave & Lisa who live near New York City, about 35 minutes west of Manhattan. They both recently decided to check out the Spider-Man Broadway Musical that's going on. Around the corner they visited a famous Bowling Alley called BOWLMOR LANES ( See the Classic Neon Sign in the 1st pic... beautiful ). While there they noticed this HEATH LEDGER Autographed Bowling Pin! This place has a display case where they feature celebrity-Signed Pins. Heath Ledger's Bowling Pin is placed right between Lady Gaga & Usher, ha ha! Hey, this is "Batman-related" & pretty interesting too. Thanks to Dave & Lisa for sending the fun pics.

BATMAN ODYSSEY - Photos of Neal Adams Appearance at Midtown Comics, New York City

The Bat-Blog reported awhile back about the fact that Neal Adams was going to be at Midtown Comics in New York City ( Times Square ) & that he would be signing copies of his brand-new BATMAN: ODYSSEY #1. I know a lot of people went because of this report so that's cool. I'm kinda bitter that NYC is so far away form me, ha ha! Anyways, here's some great photos sent in by our friend BatDave. He went with his girlfriend & friend, who are both total bat-fanatics. They all had a great time! The pics show Neal Adams signing BatDave's copy of the book. It looks like he was using a silver-colored Sharpie Pen, which looks great on that cover. Yes, I'm totally jealous, ha ha! But I'm glad BatDave got a signed copy because I know he's a HUGE fan of Adams' work. Plus, I appreciate him sending these wonderful pictures. They're really fun to see. All the other reports I have got from people about the event all say that Neal Adams was extremely gracious & very fun to be around. They all said he was a very nice guy, very talkative. So, that's cool!

FAIL - Hey Jack! Please Sign Your Joker Photo!

I'm not quite sure if this photo is real or shopped but if it is an actual real-life pic then it is completely hilarious! Here's some guy holding out a pen & 8 X 10 photograph to Actor Jack Nicholson & asking for an autograph. The guy must not know anything about the different characters in the movies because it's NOT the "1989 Batman Movie" version of the Joker, that Jack played, in the photo, but it's the later Dark Knight movie "Heath Ledger" version. What?! Does he think that all Jokers are the same? I totally love the expression on Jack's face...like he's looking at a total moron & can't believe it, ha ha!

Adam West revamped his website & there's even a few brand-new autographed photos you can buy. One that I thought was pretty cool is this image of him as Mayor West dressed like Batman with Brian as Robin, The Boy Wonder. It combines 2 different TV Shows he has done, Family Guy & 1966 Batman. They now have Christian Bale & Michael Keaton! Both of these actors are hard to get signatures from but now you can buy autographed items from them through the company. Well, it looks like Adam West revamped his personal website & one feature of it is a STORE area where you can buy autographed items. Now, please excuse my bad picture here but this Bat-item up for grabs is really an extremely sharp, very nice quality, photo showing the "Behind The Scenes" antics from the making of the '66 TV Show. Remember the classic skit where Batman & Robin were climbing up the side of a Gotham City building? They did that by walking on a fake building facade that was on the ground with a background of the sky turned sideways. The camera was also turned on it's side creating the illusion that they were "GOING UP the building". Yes, I know, ha ha, great stuff! This photo shows the set, actors, camera crew, & even the wires that helped to keep Batman & Robin's capes "falling down" ( they had to make the capes look like they were draping down from the gravity )...very cool!
