YEAH IT'S THAT BAD Podcast - "Batman Forever" Movie Review

I know THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie comes out very very soon but I wanted to share this excellent Podcast Review of an older Bat-Film, BATMAN FOREVER. Yes, ha ha, the 1995 Movie starring Val Kilmer & directed by Joel Schumacher. Our friends over at the YEAH IT'S THAT BAD Movie Review Podcast just did an episode (#78) where they discuss the film. I gotta say that it's pretty entertaining and even if you love this movie you will still enjoy it. Here's a LINK to check it out.

Fun Wacky BATMAN News and Artwork!

OK, in my BAT-BLOG Bat-Folders, I have some pics that are kind of random so I thought I'd post them all as one big fun article. Hey, it's neat stuff so don't start cryin', ha ha! The 1st pic is a wonderful piece of Batman Art done by our Friend Troy Lowndes. It uses images of different Actors who have played the Caped Crusader: Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney. It's hilarious!


The next photo has a funny story. Our friend BatDave was told that a certain Video Game Arcade on the Boardwalk in NJ had a Vintage BATMAN MOVIE Pinball Machine. So, he gathered up the "Junior Bat-Squad" ( His Cute Nieces ) and ran over there. When they got there they found out it was the newer "Dark Knight" version. but, they all had fun playing the many different machines. Of course the Batman one was their favorite but they also loved Ironman & Spiderman!



The last 2 photos are just some very recent FAMILY GUY Batman-related T-Shirts that just came out. I love the one with Brian The Dog screaming, "I AM BATMAN!" The next one features the cast of the show as the Retro-1970's Super Friends! You can find these shirts right HERE!

La-La Land Records Releases BATMAN FOREVER Original Movie Music Soundtrack - Limited Edition 2-Disc CD Set

LA-LA LAND RECORDS has just released a Special Limited Edition 2-Disc CD Set of the Original Music Movie Soundtrack to 1995's BATMAN FOREVER! You know this film, this is the one with Val Kilmer as the leading Dark Knight. It also starred Tommy Lee Jones as Harvey Dent ( Two-Face ), Jim Carrey as Edward Nygma ( The Riddler ), and Chris O’Donnell as Robin. It's also the 1st bat-film directed by Joel Schumacher. BATMAN and VAL KILMER At The 2011 SUPERNOVA POP CULTURE EXPO in Australia!

Last Saturday, November 5th, the 2011 SUPERNOVA POP CULTURE EXPO went on in Brisbane, Australia. Our friend "Batdag" was there dressed-up as the Dark Knight and recently he shared some amazing photos with us. As you can see his Bat-Suit Costume is pretty amazing. It seems like everybody loves Batman! Speaking of that character, he also got to meet the Guest of Honor, Val Kilmer!! Yeah, it was sort of like "Batman Meets Batman" ( check out the last photo ). Another cool factor of the festivities were all the great Cosplay people. There costumes are always very cool to see. I wanna thank Batdag for sharing his wonderful pics. NEW BATMAN MOVIE BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

It's time once again here at the BAT-BLOG for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" & I have to confess that I'm very proud to say that both of these Batman Wallpapers today were created and submitted by 2 Batman Fans. Check 'em out! The 1st one comes from our friend Pat. He made this image using many different photos of various BATMAN Movie Actors. You practically have the whole history of Bat-Cinema right here, a lot of fun! Then, the next one is from our buddy Sean Hartter. He's a very talented Graphic Artist who likes to create these fake "Vintage Movie Posters" of Batman movies we all wish would have been made. This one is styled like an old "Lobby Card" & features a young Linda Blair as BATGIRL. Yes, that would have been a crazy film! Thanks to everybody for their submissions. These backgrounds are AWESOME!

This is sort of painful to see but it is a part of bat-history so here we go! This is the Original TV Commercial for the 1995 BATMAN FOREVER Movie Soundtrack as found on the VHS film release ( the music is kinda neat to hear again ). Also, in this video clip, you get you see Val Kilmer as Batman, Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face, Jim Carrey as The Riddler ( Carrey was actually pretty decent as that character ) & Chris O'Donnell as Robin.

PROFILES IN HISTORY Auction is Selling Some Amazing Batman Memorabilia

OK, This post is for all you "Millionaire Collectors" & is sort of in 2 sections. In one, Profiles in History is holding an auction on May 1st, 2009, where they are selling off a huge proportion of the Hollywood Wax Museum statues. These are the original wax statues displayed at the famous museum & there are a ton of great ones like James Dean, Lucille Ball, Wizard of OZ, Henry Winkler as The Fonz, John Travolta, Bob Hope, etc...way too many to list here but it's totally crazy how many there are! Included in that sale are life-size figures of 1989 Batman ( Michael Keaton ), '89 Joker ( Jack Nicholson ), & 1992 Catwoman From Batman Returns ( Michelle Pfeiffer ).








Now, the 2nd part of this post is about Profiles in History ALSO selling original movie props from another collection, sort of two-auctions-in-one. The Batman-related items in that sale include: a Screen-Used Cowl from Batman & Robin, Jim Carrey's Riddler Cane from Batman Forever, Val Kilmer's Sonar Bat-Suit Costume, 1966 Catwoman Cat-Suit & Belt ( Lee Meriwether ), Adam West's Tights, Val Kilmer's Panther Cowl, Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze Costume & Freeze-Ray Gun ( sold separately ), etc...Both sales are spread out over a 2 day period & will surely have to be visited by many Batman Fans. ORIGINAL BATMAN & BATGIRL COSTUME Auction Prices

Just the other day the original BATMAN & BATGIRL latex costumes that Val Kilmer & Alicia Silverstone wore in the BATMAN FOREVER Movie were sold on eBay by PROFILES IN HISTORY. That company always has some really amazing items & this was a rare chance to buy a piece of Batman movie History! The Batman suit sold for $55,000 & the Batgirl for $42,500 ( Silver Mask included ). These are wayyy out of my budget but were really nice to see! I hope the new owners end up donating these to a Museum because they are very historical pieces.
