OK, I predicted about a year ago that when THE DARK KNIGHT RISES comes out there will be an insane amount of Consumer Products & Bat-Merchandise. Well, I was right! ( It's soooo hard being right all the time, ha ha ). Shown here are just a few examples:

First, Here's what the cover art to THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Soundtrack CD will look like. The music was composed by Hans Zimmer so you know it's gonna be great! Also, just to explain a little bit, this unusual "Bat-Logo" will be prominently featured in the film. I mean, it's already shown-up on T-Shirts and in the recent Movie Trailer.

Next, are a few "Mini-Action Figures" ( that's what I call them, not official ). These photos were shot by our Good Friend & Ace Bat-Reporter Batmobilly. He spotted these recently while shopping so they should be available in your town right now.

Last, Here is an early Prototype-Photo from McFarlane Toys showing a Sports Picks Action Figure they'll be making of "Hines Ward", a Football Player for the "Gotham Rogues" Team. Yes, he's the guy who shows up in that earlier trailer you saw for the film. The one running with the ball not knowing that the field behind him is sinking, ha!

La-La Land Records Releases BATMAN FOREVER Original Movie Music Soundtrack - Limited Edition 2-Disc CD Set

LA-LA LAND RECORDS has just released a Special Limited Edition 2-Disc CD Set of the Original Music Movie Soundtrack to 1995's BATMAN FOREVER! You know this film, this is the one with Val Kilmer as the leading Dark Knight. It also starred Tommy Lee Jones as Harvey Dent ( Two-Face ), Jim Carrey as Edward Nygma ( The Riddler ), and Chris O’Donnell as Robin. It's also the 1st bat-film directed by Joel Schumacher. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Movie Soundtrack Composer HANS ZIMMER Teases About New CATWOMAN Theme Song

MTV recently interviewed Hans Zimmer, the Music Composer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Film about what the Soundtrack will be and if Catwoman will have her own theme song. He basically said something like, "Yes, Anne Hathaway will have her own song but I have not wrote it yet". He also teases about other interesting details but they're kind of vague.

Video - BATMAN UNDER THE RED HOOD Movie Clip - The BATWING!

Here's one of the best video clips I have seen so far from the brand-new BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD Movie. It features Batman flying THE BATWING while in a car chase! ( Those Criminals don't have a chance, ha! ) The animation is looking very well done & I'm getting more excited about this new DC Universe animated film every single day! Remember, the DVD comes out on July 27th, 2010. Plus, I'm really liking the soundtrack's background music & sound effects...nice!

Video - BATMAN FOREVER Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack

Alright, I don't want to be flamed with negative comments about this post, please. I know, I know that this is one of the "Schumacher Films" but it is a part of bat-history. So, here we go! This is the TV commercial that appeared on the VHS Video Tape of the 1995 BATMAN FOREVER movie. It's for the film's music soundtrack. There are a few very small samples of music in it. Now, while doing this post, I went to Amazon to research it a little bit I found out that they have a flash player embedded on their site where you can listen to longer ( better ) samplings of the songs. That's kinda cool. Plus, I noticed that you can buy this CD ( used ) for one penny! Yes, 1 cent! Now, that's a good deal right there, ha ha! Here's a link if ya wanna check it out, just click HERE!

This is sort of painful to see but it is a part of bat-history so here we go! This is the Original TV Commercial for the 1995 BATMAN FOREVER Movie Soundtrack as found on the VHS film release ( the music is kinda neat to hear again ). CD Review: BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM Limited Edition Movie Soundtrack

Recently I got my hands on a fresh copy of the brand-new BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM Movie Soundtrack Limited Edition CD & I've been listening to it the last few days. Oh my GOD, it's AWESOME! We reported this new product here awhile back & the response has been pretty good. For those that missed it here's some basic information: La-La Land Records, the company that brought you the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES CD SET a few months ago, has now released a new version of Shirley Walker's 1993 BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM Movie Soundtrack. It's available now ONLY AT their website ( link button down below ). Remastered and expanded, ( more than 27 minutes longer than the original CD release ), this is the definitive version of Shirley's amazing score! It features two bonus tracks & comes with a 12-page CD booklet that includes exclusive, in-depth liner notes. This is a Limited Edition of only 3000 units & I expect the thing to totally sell out like the B:TAS one did. The photos you see here are some I took late last night & it shows the front, the back, the insides ( with & without the CD ), & the CD itself. The booklet has some interesting trivia about the film & some neat graphics. Speaking of graphics I really like the picture of "Batman hitting The Joker with all the Playing Cards flying around" that you get to see when you remove the CD from it's case...kinda neat. But, the main thing is the music & on this special CD the quality is extremely excellent, very well done. If you click on the "Music Button" down below you can hear a small clip of the Main Title. Now, the soundtrack to this film as been released before but it didn't feature ALL the music fro the movie. This one does, it's great & I can very highly reccommend it for ANY Batman Fan!

BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM Limited Release Movie Soundtrack CD Coming Soon From La-La Land Records!

For people who have been reading the Bat-Blog for awhile you might remember a few months ago we introduced a new Batman product from La-La Land Records that was a special 2-CD set featuring the music soundtrack from the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES TV Show. Well, that CD was a total success ( I think it totally sold out! ) & now La-La Land Records plans on releasing another Batman-related CD titled BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM. This, of course, was the animated film featuring the characters from the TV series. Back when this movie came out it was a complete smash hit & has now become a cult classic among fans of both Batman & animation. It was a really great film! Well, next Tuesday, at 12pm PST, La-La Land Records will start taking orders on the La-La Land website for this brand-new Limited Edition CD... Shirley Walker's complete score to the feature film BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM. Completely remastered and more than 27 minutes longer than the original CD release, this is the definitive version of Shirley's complete, amazing orchestral score. It will also contain a twenty page CD booklet that features in-depth liner notes! It will also be a Limited Edition of only 3000 units which means it will probably sell out like the others have. Review: BATMAN, THE ANIMATED SERIES - LIMITED EDITION MUSIC SOUNDTRACK CD ( 2 DISC SET )

OK, Awhile back we reported here about a brand-new Batman product of the music soundtrack CD ( 2 - Disc Set ) of BATMAN, THE ANIMATED SERIES. As a HUGE FAN of this extremely well-done classic television series I could not have been more thrilled. Well, I received a promo copy the other day & have been listening to it the last 2-3 days. It took me forever to hear all of it because it's around 2 1/2 hours long! Oh man, the music is beautiful & the quality is really great too! Here's the basic information about the soundtrack,

OK, you just read the company's info, here's mine: It comes with 2 CDs, a 20 page booklet that is actually well-written, & is limited to only 3000 units ( which is really not a lot & I expect this thing to sell-out pretty easily ). It was created by a company called LA-LA LAND RECORDS & you can really see the love they put into it. The overall design of the entire thing is very well done & my favorite part, this will be kind of corny maybe, but when you open the CD Case the very 1st thing you see, on the left side, is a photo of the composer Shirley Walker. They print the words, "In Loving Memory ...SHIRLEY WALKER 1945 - 2006". Ya see, she died very recently & she was very well respected by a lot of music fans. She did an incredible job on this cartoon ( among others ), & was really loved by a lot of people in the industry. Seriously, her music is great & she was also a very nice person. I thought that was very sweet & sort of a very classy thing to do as most published music CDs would not do a thing like that...very very cool. But, I'm sorry, back to the actual product. The music is really wonderful & will bring back a lot of memories of this awesome animated TV series. Of course it includes the classic TV Intro Theme Song done by Danny Elfman, which we all love. But, even the rest of the music is a total joy to listen to. If you go to the LA-LA LAND website there's a published track listing that shows all the songs on the 2-Disc Set. A few of the songs are "clickable" & you can listen to a few MP3 samples to get an idea...very nice! I guess one thing I should mention too is that this merchandise will ONLY be available at their website ( and maybe at some other obscure "music fan" sites ) & is reported to not be sold by other sites like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. On a personal level I very seriously LOVED this Batman TV show & the fact that La-La Land Records did such an amazing job on this soundtrack really feels me with a lot of pride. The respect & love they put into this project is well appreciated by me & I know if you get a copy you'll love it too.
