I know THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie comes out very very soon but I wanted to share this excellent Podcast Review of an older Bat-Film, BATMAN FOREVER. Yes, ha ha, the 1995 Movie starring Val Kilmer & directed by Joel Schumacher. Our friends over at the YEAH IT'S THAT BAD Movie Review Podcast just did an episode (#78) where they discuss the film. I gotta say that it's pretty entertaining and even if you love this movie you will still enjoy it. Here's a LINK to check it out.

AN EVENING WITH ADAM WEST - The Podcast of the Event is Now Online!!

Greetings Good Citizens. You might remember the BAT-BLOG hyping the Event of the Century, AN EVENING WITH ADAM WEST! Well, it happened a few days ago & the show totally sold-out. Yes, it was a complete success! But, if you're like me and couldn't go because it was so far away, the good news is you can hear the interview as an Online Podcast! I checked it out last night & it's extremely entertaining. They went through Adam West's very long career and it was a lot of fun. Not as great as actually being there, but really, it's cool! Plus, I don't want to spoil anything but within the interview Mr. West shared some extremely important news that every Bat-Fan is gonna love! It totally blew me away!
Here's a LINK ( Click Here ) to listen to the Podcast. You can listen for free online or you can download it from iTunes for a small donation of $2.00 or more. The donations, like the money raised from the event, all go towards helping to pay for Adam West's Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

ROBIN THE BOY WONDER! Recent BURT WARD INTERVIEW at The Nightwatch Radio Podcast

Awhile back, I received an email about a very cool future Bat-Event, BURT WARD ( The Actor who played "Robin, The Boy Wonder" on the 1966 BATMAN TV Series ) was being interviewed on the Nightwatch Radio Podcast. Awesome! Except, because of an internet glitch, I never got this news. Then the event happened and I only had time to post it on the Bat-Blog Facebook page just an hour or two before it happened. So some people got to hear it "LIVE" and many did not. I want to apologize to both my Readers and the Pod-casters for this screw-up. Hey, I'm extremely good looking but NOT perfect, ha!
Anyways, here's the good news! The Podcast Interview was recorded and can now be either listened to or downloaded at their website. When visiting the site be sure to click on their "AUDIO CHAMBER" Link Button and look for the "ROBIN, BURT WARD" item listed for 1-17-12.Oh yeah, for their website, click HERE!

BAT-BLOG.COM Gets a Shout-Out On THE FIRE AND WATER Podcast!

OK, This is pretty cool! The BAT-BLOG.COM was recently blessed with an awesome shout-out review on the FIRE AND WATER Podcast! This is the Official Podcast of two awesome comic book-related blogs called THE AQUAMAN SHRINE and FIRESTORM FAN. Each one does an excellent job of covering their favorite DC Comics Superhero Characters. But the Podcast is a combination of both, hence the name, "Fire and Water".
Now, just a few days ago, on Episode #7, both Rob Kelly ( Aquaman ) and the "Irredeemable SHAG" ( Firestorm ) mentioned the BAT-BLOG and gave a well appreciated, very cool, review of this website. Among other things, they said something about, "The BAT-BLOG is Great For Your Daily Bat-Fix!", ha ha! Wow! It's really an honor because it's a fun podcast to listen to. In the past I have downloaded a few shows & it's usually pretty interesting, they're both great hosts. Besides talking about their favorite characters they also delve into older comic book history and a little recent Pop Culture. If you're a Fan of Aquaman then you need to check out THE AQUAMAN SHRINE. You can also hear this podcast for free over at the FIRESTORM FAN website. While you're there you might hit their iTunes link & subscribe. I wanna thank both Rob and Shag for this wonderful shout-out. YOU GUYS ROCK & keep up the good work!!

NEAL ADAMS Interview on WHERE MONSTERS DWELL Podcast

Listen LIVE on Wednesday, August 18th at 9 pm CST @ http://wheremonstersdwell.ca/
Neal Adams is set to do an interview on the "Where Monsters Dwell" podcast. The word 'legendary' gets thrown around a lot these days but in this case it certainly fits the bill. From his work re-establishing Batman as a dark brooding figure to his work making Green Lantern/Green Arrow 'relevant' and from his work on a few small Marvel properties like X-Men and Avengers, Neal Adams has cemented himself as a legend in the comics industry. He joins WMD this week to chat about creator rights, how the industry has changed since he got in, his new Batman series 'Odyssey' and his new sketchbook coming from Vanguard Publishing 'The Art of Neal Adams'. It's gonna be Episode #113 so be sure to check it out & if you miss the original time you can always listen to it later.

The BAT-BLOG INTERVIEW On PLANET COMIC BOOK RADIO is Posted Now!
A few days ago I was interviewed by Javier Hernandez on his PLANET COMIC BOOK RADIO Podcast. This was my very 1st "LIVE" interview & I gotta admit it was really a lot of fun! He's a great host & the interview went along pretty smooth. To be honest I was extremely nervous, ha ha! At first all I could think about were the thousands of listeners but after awhile I just focused on talking with Javier, he's such a nice guy and a very good host, so that made it a lot easier. I know a lot of readers missed hearing it when it first came on, because of their jobs or whatever, but it's now posted on the PCBR website & you can listen to it anytime. It just streams on their page & it's like listening to the radio, very neat. Also, You don't really need to download any special software. Another way to hear it is to just download it as a podcast on your iPod. I hope you check it out! You can click on the above graphic or the PCBR LINK BUTTON down below, thanks! Oh yeah, I would also like to publicly thank Javier Hernandez for being such a gracious host & allowing me to do this. It was a really neat experience.

ACE OF DETECTIVES New Batman Radio Show!

Recently I discovered this very cool vintage-style radio show called BATMAN : ACE OF DETECTIVES. Basically it's alot like those old radio shows you could listen to in the 1940's, like Little Orphan Annie or Superman, but it's completely NEW! When you listen to it there's sound effects ( creaking door, car engine starting, that kinda thing )& even great background music that really brings it to life. This is a lost ART! Also, the voices are extremely well done. The voice actors are top-notch & I really like the people who play Batman & Alfred. Actually ALL the voices are good & the storyline is interesting. I think they have about 9 or 10 episodes so far & they're well worth listening to. You can hear them at their website or do what I do. I download the MP3 & listen to them while working. You can find a LINK BUTTON at the BAT-BLOG LINKS area, the button for LINKS is on the top right-hand side of this batblog.
