A Bat-Blog Fan named Chris sent these pics to us recently. He just bought this set of 3 GOTHAM KNIGHT Batman Movie Action Figures from the DC Universe animated film that came out last year. The 3 characters he got were Batman, Scarecrow, & Deadshot. I know a lot of you have probably seen this movie by now, but if not, it's totally worth a look. It was actually pretty cool! I loved how they portrayed the Scarecrow in this film. He looked completely insane & sort of reminded me of the shape of an insect, very strange. The story with Deadshot was pretty cool too with it ending in a Subway Tunnel. That sequence had a lot of interesting visual effects added to it. Whoops! Sorry, back to the figures. Thanks Chris for sending these pics. I remember covering them when they came out but I posted official production photos from the toy company & these are actually better because they are the real deal! I actually don't have these... but now I'll have to get a set, they're great.
Remember the BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT Animated Movie that Warner Bros released awhile back? It was done in a very cool "anime style" & the DVD sold really well. OK, for 2009 they're gonna release a special DC Infinite Heroes 3-pack that is going to include some characters from the cartoon. Shown here are Batman, Deadshot, & The Scarecrow. These should be pretty successful so expect them to release even more of these. Be sure to click on the small graphic up above for a larger, more detailed, version.
OK, I was gonna write a film review for the recent release of BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT, the new animated movie by Warner Bros & DC Universe. But I decided that since somebody already wrote one better than I could I would just post a link to it, ha ha! That person is Stephanie, over at GEN ( The Girl's Entertainment Network ). Yes, women dig the Batman! She wrote a great review and it is very detailed with lots of accurate information. Here's some good news for people collecting the "Batman: Black and White Statues". Today, July 10th, they're releasing the latest statue called "GOTHAM KNIGHT" which of course is inspired by the recent Animated Anime DVD movie. I think this one looks pretty cool! I really wish I would have started to collect these when they first came out. The recent statue of NEAL ADAMS art is really great & later this year they're gonna do one of JIM APARO artwork that is also really wonderful. To be honest I don't think I could afford to buy every single statue figure they're making ( there's a lot ) but I would pick a few favorites, this is one of them.

Shown here is one of the 1st actual clips from the Batman: Gotham Knight animated film that I have seen & it gives you a good idea of the voices, artwork, sounds, etc...looks awesome, I can't wait!!! You can very clearly hear the voice of Kevin Conroy as Batman, that's kinda cool! The DVD will be released on July 8th, about 10 days before The Dark Knight movie appears on the big screen.

Here's a brand-new promo ad that shows what the DVD packaging for the animated tie-in "Batman: Gotham Knight" is gonna look like. There are gonna be 2 different covers for the 3 separate editions. There's the single-disc DVD, the 2-disc DVD Special Edition, & the Blu-Ray DVD version. I seriously can't wait till these hit the stores because I love Japanese anime & this animated movie looks like it's gonna ROCK! There's been a lot of excitement about the new animated project from Warner Bros where they will release a special DVD movie just before the release of THE DARK KNIGHT Feature Film. It's called GOTHAM KNIGHT & the story takes place between BATMAN BEGINS & THE DARK KNIGHT movies so I guess it sort of like a prequel. We have talked about here a lot ( check the Bat-Archives ). Anyway, here's some amazing scenes from the anime-style animated film & they look awesome!! I can't wait to see an actual movie trailer for this, it's gonna be great.
