Video: FIRST LOOK At BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT Anime Animated Movie

Remember, you saw it here first! This is the 1st look at the soon-to-be-released BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT Anime Batman Film by Warner Bros. For people living under a rock & have not heard of this DC UNIVERSE Animated Movie it will come out as a DVD just before the DARK KNIGHT Motion Picture is released in Summer 2008. It's gonna feature state-of-the-art animation done by some of the most major Japanese Anime artists & directors. The story will bridge the gap between the 2 Batman movies: Batman Begins & The Dark Knight. New information, featured in this video, will be that the villians in the story will be Deadshot, Scarecrow, & Killer Croc...kick ass!

"Batman Anime" To Be Called BATMAN : GOTHAM KNIGHT

OK, We reported along time ago that Warner Bros was working with the concept of a special Batman Animated Feature to be released on DVD before THE DARK KNIGHT movie in 2008. They have finally released a little more information. The new title is BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT. The stories' time-line happens directly between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT. Sort of a Dark Knight Prequel, if you will. The good news is that it will be directed by Bruce Timm, heck yeah! Writers include: Alan Burnett, Josh Olsen, Greg Rucka, David S, Goyer, Brian Azzarello, & Jordan Goldberg. The story will be told with six different shorts all linked together in some way. A few of the Japanese animation companies that will work on the segments will be Madhouse, Studio 4*C, & Production I.G. I know that Production I.G. has done a lot of work with"The Ghost in The Shell" & they do amazing work. This is sounding better & better all the time. I'm really excited about this, hope it's good.

BATMAN ANIME : Soon To Be Released DVD Movie

Here's an official graphic from Warner Bros about a soon-to-be released DVD Cartoon Movie titled BATMAN ANIME. The description reads:

Set in the period between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT, this brand new adventure follows BATMAN as he unravels a mystery over six original stories done in the style of Japanese Anime. Each of the six original stories has been written by a highly respected screenwriter or comic book creator. The talent includes Academy Award nominee Josh Olsen ( The History of Violence ), screenwriter of the Blade films and Batman Begins David Goyer, and famed comic book writer Brian Azzarello, among others. The Batman Anime DVD is viewed as a perfect companion piece to BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT. The original stories introduce a number of classic characters from the DC Comics BATMAN universe as well as following up on characters and storylines that were introduced in BATMAN BEGINS. Target: Core fans and tween boys Rating: PG-13 ( anticipated ) Release: 2-4 weeks in advance of TDK film release.
