Check out this awesome graphic art sent in by our buddy, Artist Sean Hartter. It's made from photos of characters from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman movie and they have been photo-manipulated to look like old vintage newsprint. Then, the DKR Bat-Logo has Japanese lettering. Sean said he has a friend who speaks perfect Japanese translate the word "The Dark Knight Rises" so it's all accurate. That's cool & a very nice detail! But anyways, I took this and made it into some BAT-BLOG.COM Promo Art. Yeah, I know, as Robin the Boy Wonder would say, "Holy Shameless Self-Promotion, Batman!" But as a Blogger I have to constantly hype my site or no new people find it, ha! So, if you can, please tell a few of your friends about this website ( Like, on Twitter or Facebook or a Message Board ). Thanks. Oh yeah, also please enjoy this FREE Dark Knight Rises Wallpaper too!!

Here's a very cool BANE Batman Wallpaper submitted by our friend Sean Hartter who was inspired by the recent photo of Tom Hardy as BANE in the next Batman film, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES! ( Thanks Sean! )
OK, I'm a total loser & don't get to brag much, but I gotta say that I'm really proud of our good buddy Sean Hartter! He's a very talented commercial artist & he recently got some amazing hype on his artwork over at the WEEKLY-CRISIS website. They did a fun story about his fake Retro-Style "Superhero Movie" Posters & Lobby Cards. Basically, he creates new images that look like old vintage advertising for movies that were never made ( but you WISH they had made, ha! ). As an example I'm showing one for THE JOKER with Tim Curry as the lead character. But at the Weekly-Crisis website you can see some of your favorite Superheroes like: Superman, Plastic Man, Iron Fist, Wolverine, & many more. Just click HERE!

OK, it's the middle of the day & I am finally posting the "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday " backgrounds. I know, "I'm Late", ( sorry ) but really I was working on the Bat-Blog almost all night ( technical issues ) & slept in late. So, like my Grandmother used to say, "Better late, than never!" But, I think you'll enjoy these backgrounds so here we go! The 1st one was made by me using some graphics I found at the DC Comics website. The visuals were just too awesome to NOT make into a wallpaper, ha! Plus, besides Batman, there are some cool villains: Catwoman & The Penguin! The next wallpaper, I'm very proud to say, was sent in by a Bat-Blog Contributing Artist named Sean Hartter. Both the artwork & art direction are really great! He came up with this very clever idea of making a fake issue of PLAYBILL. These are small booklets you used to get when you went to the theater of a Broadway play. Ironically, it looks EXACTLY like an original issue...making it a wonderful parody. Now the other thing that's pretty funny is that, to give it a heightened sense of realism, he used the real names of famous actors & writers. The play is titled "BATMAN: The Joker's Five Way Revenge", which is a very classic comic book story actually written by Dennis O'Neil. Plus, the 2 real-life Famous Actors are John Barrymore & Lon Chaney. The picture is an actual photo of them but shopped with the Batman & Joker costumes...awesome! It also says that the play was produced by Robert Kane ( Bob Kane ). Which is funny because he's the guy who "created" Batman. I'm not surprised that Bill Finger didn't get a mention, ouch!
Here is a New BATMAN VS JOKER Wallpaper I made using some graphics drawn by Sean Hartter. You can use it to brighten your desktop or as a groovy background in a MySpace layout ( Click on it to see the larger version, then right-click, "save as..." ). As you can see Sean has his own unique style. If you would like to view more of his artwork, you can do so by clicking HERE!
Here is an extremely cool Batman Desktop Wallpaper made by our Graphic Artist Friend Sean Hartter. He had sent this to me a long time ago & it has sort of got lost in the shuffle. Yes, my organization skills are a mess! Anyway, this is some of his original art & it shows his idea on the Golden Age Batmobile Car. I love the Retro 1940's-Style, very cool! I also know that this will be kinda weird but I totally love the "lens flare" shining off the headlights, a nice graphic touch. Sean, sorry about posting this so late but, "Better late than never", I always say! I also wanna say that the drawing is extremely AWESOME & I know that many readers will love it, thanks.

For people new to the Bat-Blog I guess I gotta explain that every single Wednesday we go a little crazy & post a few Batman-Themed Desktop Wallpapers you can use to brighten up your PC Desktop or use as a background in a MySpace Layout, whew! This week both of them have a "Batman in Gotham City" vibe that you might like. The first one is a high-quality graphic I found that was once a hi-rez scan from a Batman comic book. The coloring & sharpness are really great! The next one is even more special because it's totally custom-made. It was drawn by our friend, Sean Hartter, who's a really talented Graphic Artist. It's a Japanese-influenced "ad poster" with minimal colors. The cool thing about it, you might not notice, is that the image is filtered & it looks like an actual woodcut print on paper. Which again, is sort of an homage to the whole Japan printing technique. In other words, it looks like the real deal but it's not, ha ha! Thanks again Sean, another cool wallpaper!
One of our good friends here at the Bat-Blog is a Graphic Artist by the name of Sean Hartter. His art style is pretty cool & very unique so, just for fun, he created a Batman Desktop Wallpaper he wanted to share with you readers. So, here it is...please enjoy! Thanks Sean for making this exclusive background for the Bat-Blog. I really appreciate that a lot and it's extremely AWESOME!
