Warner Bros released a brand-new "Teaser" Movie Poster the other day for the next Batman Film, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. It's pretty cool because it features the main Villain, BANE! The other night I was sort of inspired to create a few BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Wallpaper Backgrounds with some cool graphics I found. I still have not got to play this cool Video Game yet and grow more bitter every day, ha! The general theme with these two are "Villains". OK, This week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is gonna get really really weird, ha! First off we have a very nice piece of art sent in to us by our friend Gary. It's an image of one of the strangest Super-Villains in Comic Book history, COMPOSITE SUPERMAN! This weird character has developed sort of a cult following over the years & keeps making appearances from time to time. Basically, his costume is half-Batman and half-Superman. I don't know, I've always thought it looks pretty cool! If ya wanna learn more about this guy then just click HERE, it's pretty interesting stuff. Next up, the Bat-Blog is mostly known for being a place where Serious Batman Toy Collectors show-up. The history of merchandise for the Caped Crusader is vast & we love all the cool vintage stuff that's been made over the years. One area of collecting that I have always loved are the Mego Dolls from the 1970's. In this wallpaper I used a simple clean photo of THE RIDDLER Figure. Go ahead, try it as a background, you'll like it, ha!
More information for the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game is finally coming out. The PENGUIN has been officially announced as a Villain for the series. This is no surprise really when you consider that in one of the earliest teaser trailers they showed the ICEBERG LOUNGE building. But hey, I love this character, so that's cool! Here's a graphic of him on the cover of the recent UK Edition of PSM3 Magazine. Batman: Arkham City will launch in North America on October 18th, in Europe on October 21st and in Australia on October 19th.

OK, you might have seen your 11 year old nephew wearing these. They're called BANDZ & basically they're fun jewelry for kids. They are rubber-bracelets made in the shapes of popular cartoon & comic book characters. Here are a few different packages to buy that are Batman-related: Bat-Vehicles, Bat-Symbols, & Villains. I've seen these at Target for around $4.00 a package. I really like the design of the packaging, great graphics! I also think these would make nice Christmas stocking stuffers. Everybody who grew-up in the 1970's will recognize this stuff, it's a Jigsaw Puzzle in a Can! Oh yeah, as a little kid I used to love these. I think I had 2 or 3 of them, Superman & Batman. But here are some that were sort of an unusual series, The SUPER-FOES! These puzzles featured major Batman Villians: The Joker, The Penguin, & The Riddler! These are all the pictures I could find of these super-rare toys & I'm wondering if they made more of them. I mean, it seems sort of logical that they might have made one with Catwoman too. But either way, the artwork on these are wonderful.
It's finally been revealed! The next BATMAN movie ( Sequel to The Dark Knight & movie #3 in the trilogy ) will be titled "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES". The Director Christopher Nolan was recently interviewed by the Los Angeles Times' HERO COMPLEX and besides getting the title to the next film we also got a little more information about the villain. Well, sort of. Christopher Nolan is extremely secretive about who the next villain will be but he did give a hint that it will NOT be the Riddler. He even confirmed that there will also be NO Mr. Freeze. As you can imagine this is driving everybody crazy & many are speculating either Hugo Strange or maybe the Black Mask. Another bit of news, good news I think, is that the next movie will not be filmed in 3D. So, who do YOU think will be the next villain?
