BATMAN COSPLAY at the 1st Ottawa Canada Comic-Con!
Here are some totally wonderful photos sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Mark. He and his Son recently went to their very 1st Ottawa Comic-Con in Canada! Actually, it was this weekend. Now of course there were a lot of wacky COSPLAY Costume People there and Mark got some great pics.
The first photo features Mark's Son Eli in his Batman outfit with Mario and Luigi. Hey, how cool is that?! More pics include the Mad Hatter, Bane and Harley Quinn ( She's the "Arkham City" Version ), a Nolan-Universe Batman, Two Face and another wonderful Harley Quinn ( The "Animated Series" version ). WOW! Looks like everybody had a really great time. I hope Eli had fun ( I bet he did ). Thanks Mark for sharing these fun photos, they're great!

DC UNIVERSE ONLINE - BATMAN VILLAINS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, I know I'm kinda late today posting some Batman Wallpapers for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" but I've had some serious issues to deal with today. So, as my Nanny used to say, "Better late, than never". This week I thought I would focus on some Batman Villains and, at the same time, feature some characters from the brand-new DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game ( that's where all these images are form ). So, check it out! We have: The Joker, Catwoman, & Jervis Tetch, The Mad Hatter!

Ted Naifeh's BATMAN BOOK Conceptual Design Art

Shown up above are a few panels of Batman-related artwork created by a very talented Graphic Artist named Ted Naifeh. Ted's plan is to pitch a new Batman Book idea to DC Comics. You see, he has taken the Batman Universe & sort-of recreated it in his own unique style. Most of the characters are easily recognizable like: Scarecrow, The Penguin, Catwoman, The Mad Hatter, & so on but they're also just a "little different". He's been working on this concept for awhile & has created a ton of cool pencil sketches & inked drawings to back-up his idea. If you visit his website there is way more art to enjoy: The Joker, Batwoman, Robin, Batgirl, etc... It's gonna be interesting to see how this project comes along. So, if you wanna see more of Ted Naifeh's Graphic Art, & also keep up to date with what is going on, then please be sure to visit his website by clicking HERE!

Amazing 1966 BATMAN TV SHOW Custom Action Figure Dolls by Darkside Customs

A new friend to the Bat-Blog, named Rick, sent me an e-mail about his cool hobby of making custom dolls & action figures. He calls his company DARKSIDE CUSTOMS & his work is totally amazing! His focus is on the many different characters from the classic 1966 Batman TV Show. The attention to detail is totally insane! Plus, I really enjoy that he made a few of the obscure villains. Now of course he made a Batman & Robin ( Adam West, Burt Ward ) but the rouge's list includes: Catwoman ( Julie Newmar ), The Riddler ( Frank Gorshin ), Bookworm ( Roddy McDowall ), Mr. Freeze ( Otto Preminger ), The Madhatter ( David Wayne ), & Egghead ( Vincent Price ). I'm showing only a few examples here so if you like these be sure to visit Rick's website!

CUSTOM TOYS : Cool 1966 Batman TV Show Figures!

Shown in the photo up above are some Custom-Made Toys from a friend to the Bat-Blog. Please be sure to click the picture for a larger, more detailed, photo. We asked him about these amazing pieces of ART & he wrote, "They are made out of Super-Flex Sculptey and painted with Acrylic Paint. They each took 3-4 days to make, and they're plastic army man scale, about 2 inches in height. They are not for sale at the moment. I make them for the sheer fun of it". WOW!! These are really beautiful, good job!! I love that you did some of the very obscure TV Villain characters. The figures include: Batman, Robin, The Joker, Riddler ( Wow, That face looks exactly like Frank Gorshin! ), Batgirl, Mr. Freeze, Madhatter, Catwoman, Egghead, The Penguin, King Tut, & Bookworm too! The faces on ALL of these figures are amazing. For example, look at King Tut's face. It looks EXACTLY like the actor!!
