Here's the latest Promo Video Clip from Warner Bros for the New BATMAN: YEAR ONE DVD Animated Movie. They call it the "Playboy" Clip because it shows an arrogant-acting Bruce Wayne being questioned by GCPD Police Officer Jim Gordon. I also like how they're presenting Alfred the Butler in this film, very cool.

Two of them are variations of the artwork that will be used on the DVD cover ( Which one do you like better? ). Then, there's a cool movie image of Catwoman... Man, I can't wait to see this!

NEW BATMAN STATUE - YEAR ONE Maquette ( DVD Movie )

DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue that will be coming out later this year. It's a Maquette Figure based on the BATMAN: YEAR ONE character from the DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD. Oh man, it's beautiful! I like the retro-style. It was sculpted by DEREK MILLER. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain Maquette-Statue of BATMAN will be released on September 27th, 2011. It will measure about 9.8" high x 7.75" wide x 5" deep. Also, it's a Limited Edition. The Retail price will be around $ 125.00. Remember, stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for all your Batman Collectibles News.

VIDEO - Sneak Peek of BATMAN: YEAR ONE, New DC Universe Animated Film

In this promo, finally, we get to see some of the ideas about the next DC Universe Animated Film, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Of course it's an adaptation of Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli's classic Graphic Novel. The Animation Team seems to really want to be true to the original source. In this sneak peek we get introduced to many of the Voice Actors, many are excellent choices. I just wish we could see more "cartoon clips" of the actual DVD product, but this is a teaser so I guess we'll have to wait.

The last few days I've been sort of both excited and nervous about the next DC UNIVERSE Animated Movie, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. I mean, it's such an important Graphic Novel Book that we gotta hope they don't screw-up the animation version, ha ha! Well, to celebrate I created a few BATMAN: YEAR ONE WALLPAPERS that use some artwork from the vintage comic books that were drawn by David Mazzucchelli, the original Artist for the series. One of the Producers of the film, Bruce Timm, has sworn that the story in the movie is totally super-accurate to the source material, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. I think it's gonna be awesome and I can't wait!

Of course we're talking about the animation-version of the famous Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli Graphic Novel by the same name. Today, The Hollywood Reporter got some EXCLUSIVE images from the movie. We also get a list of the voice actors: Bryan Cranston ( AMC's Breaking Bad ) is playing Jim Gordon, Ben McKenzie is Bruce Wayne / Batman, Eliza Dushku is Selina Kyle / Catwoman, and Katee Sackhoff is Detective Sarah Essen.

Here is a LINK to a petition that will be directed towards Warner Home Video, Inc. to rethink their decision to cancel the development and production of Batgirl: Year One. In a recent interview Bruce Timm stated something to the effect of, "We were developing and hoping to get started on a 'Batgirl' film based on 'Year One,' but because of 'Wonder Woman’s' slow sales start, that won’t be happening now." Funny Cartoon Humor Picture : BATMAN YEAR ONE

While surfing the web the other day I came across a blog by Chris Flick. He's a very talented cartoonist, caricaturist, illustrator, & web designer. His work can be found at http://www.csfgraphics.com. As serious Batman Fans we all know about the classic comic book graphic novel BATMAN : YEAR ONE By Frank Miller. Basically it's all about the 1st year that Bruce Wayne was trying to become Batman. The main focus of the story was the development of his relationship with James Gordon & the creation of some of his crime fighting "tools" like the Batmobile, Bat-Belt, Costume, etc...Well, knowing about that book is what makes this cartoon so hilarious! The humor, of course, is taking the "Year One" concept but applying it to a "What if? story" about Batman as a little kid in in the 1st grade.....Ha Ha, Funny!
