Random Funny Crazy BATMAN STUFF!

I'm not in a very good mood this morning so I thought I would post some "Batman Humor" pictures. Maybe that will cheer me up, ha! Oh yeah, they are NOT making the 1966 Batman Movie an XBox 360 video game so please don't ask me where you can buy it, ha ha! OK, I gotta admit that the "Klingon Batman" is pretty hilarious. Whew, I feel better already, thanks!

VINTAGE BATMAN TOY - The 1966 HOT LINE BATPHONE By MARX

Here are some really great pics I thought I would share today. You know, to totally torture you, ha ha! This is an extremely cool vintage 1960's toy that I bet some of you might have had this when you were a small child. This is the BATMAN HOT LINE BATPHONE!! It came out during the craze of the 1966 Batman TV Show & kids at that time totally loved it! It was made by the Classic Toy Company, LOUIS MARX & CO. It's a battery-operated device where, when you press a button, it would say 10 different sayings or phrases - stuff like, "We can never let the people down!, This is our kind of fight!, Depart in haste - Boy Wonder!, They'll never remove the bat mask!, Go thaw Mr. Freeze!, & (my favorite) Go ZAP those greasy criminals!" I wonder if there's a YouTube video of the TV Commercial ( if they made a TV ad ) or maybe somebody created a MP3 of the sounds, who knows? It would be great to hear them again. By the way, these pics were sent to me by a friend to totally torture me. You see, he knows that I don't have this thing & I really want one. Thanks Jim, you made me cry. I hope you're happy now, ha ha!

Video: 1966 BATMAN TV Show Batgirl Compilation - On the Batphone

Here's a video I thought was kind of interesting. It's a small collection of Batgirl ( Barbara Gordon ) clips when she used to sneak into her Father's office to use the Bat-Phone! He was the Gotham City Police Department's Commissioner Gordon after all, with a direct line to Batman! The whole thing is kind weird...check it out!

Wally's 1966 ADAM WEST BATMAN Costume Display

OK, This post is just totally wacky!! We have a friend named Wally Wingert who lives in California. For a long time he owned a Batman Costume that is pretty nice. It's like the one worn from the 1966 TV Series. Well, recently he had this manikin made that looks exactly like Adam West. Then he had some Contractors, Electricians, Designers, etc... all come in & built a "Cave Wall" facade on one wall & they attached this thing to it. It all lights-up & he says it's a lot like one of those displays you see in a Haunted House, or something like that. It looks pretty elaborate & the costume is just really really great! The other neat thing about it is he displays all of his Batman TV Show Props he has like the Batarang, Bat-Radio, Batphone, & More! Overall it's just insane & I bet it looks even cooler in person. Anyways, I thought some readers here would love it! ( Please be sure to click on the above photo for a larger, more detailed, version ).

Vintage Batman Memorabilia Strikes Again!

OK, With all the recent craziness on the Dark Knight Batman movie I have been kinda neglecting the main focus of this webpage & it's the love of collecting the old Vintage Batman Toys. Well, it's about the brand-new stuff too but ya' know what I mean. Here are a few wonderful toys from the past. The 1st example is a TALKING BATPHONE made by Palitoy ( a British toy company ). It's from 1976 & the graphics on the original box are awesome! I think the artwork was done by Neal Adams, not exactly sure, but it has his realistic style. The 2nd photo shows something that I have never seen before. It's a Batman Train Car ( from Canada ). It has a special Bat-Signal attached to it. Looks like it also came with 2 figures, pretty sweet! The 3rd example is one of my all-time favorite pieces of comic book memorabilia & that's these wacky cans of CRAZY FOAM. Of course the main thing here is the Batman & Robin ones but they made a lot of other DC & Marvel Comic characters too: Superman, Amazing Spiderman, & The Incredible Hulk! If you don't remember these they were just aerosol cans with "soap foam" & they were in the shape of cartoon characters. As a very little kid I vividly remember having the Superman one & one day I asked my Mom if she knew where he was, as I wanted to play with him, & she said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I threw it away"...NnnOoo! Alright, I'm OK, I'm OK, really. Let's move on. For the 4th photo I saved the best for last! This pic was sent in by a loyal Bat-Blog Reader who has this totally insane Batman Collection. This is only one item he has out of a huge assortment of hard-to-find goodies but it's pretty RARE! This is the BATMAN and THE JOKER ELECTRONIC TARGET GAME. It's got this extremely cool large figure of Joker that reacts to a light-beam shot from a Western-Style Gun ( yeah, very very weird! ). It was made by the Vanity Fair Toy Company. Thanks JR for sending this very cool photo! I want to invite ALL Bat-Blog Readers with RARE Batman items to please send us some pics. Sharing the love of Batman toy collecting is what the Bat-Blog is all about!

1960's SEARS Department Store Catalog Pics of Vintage 60's Batman Toys!

As a vintage toy collector one of the best references for old vintage toys are older department store catalogs. Sears, JC Penneys, & Montgomery Wards are all great choices, especially the "Christmas Issues". Those are usually jam-packed with tons of cool vintage toys. Here's 2 examples right here. The color photo shows a cool Batman Vintage Halloween Costume & another costume set that was put out by Ideal in 1966. The Ideal set has a cape, cowl, & the very-sought-after RARE Batbelt with a lot of accessories! The black & white photo shows a page that featured the 1966 BATPHONE & the 1966 BATMAN PUPPET THEATER which had hand puppets of Batman, Robin, & The Joker! This play set was a Sears Exclusive & the ONLY way to get the now super-RARE Joker Hand Puppet!
