Right now, at the BEAR and BIRD Boutique and Gallery, they're having a Comic Book Art Exhibit titled "PROOF OF HEROES, The Julius Schwartz Printer’s Proof Cover Collection". The Art Gallery is located upstairs at TATES COMICS in Lauderhill, Florida. The show runs from January 20th to March 3rd, 2012.The basic concept: It's an art exhibition featuring nearly 300 comic book cover printer’s proofs, spanning a decade (1964-1974) of Julius Schwartz’ 42 year run as Editor at DC Comics.Julius Schwartz began working as an editor at DC Comics in 1944! During the 1950's and 60's, he oversaw the revival of superheroes such as the Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, the Batman, and the Atom, which led to the Silver Age of comic books. These one-of-a-kind Printer’s Proof’s were originally sent to Schwartz for his final approval, before their commercial print run. The covers feature artwork from such icons as Nick Cardy, Murphy Anderson, Neal Adams, Carmine Infantino, Mike Kaluta and many, many more! The proofs are being sold to benefit "The Hero Initiative", a great charity. OK, This car is both completely AWESOME & totally CRAZY! Of course, I mean "crazy" in a good way! Oh man, it's so cool!! This is a fully-customized MESSERSCHMITT Automobile made to look like a Batman Car! The custom work & paint job is beautiful. The appraised value of this car is only $75,000 which I think is way too low, it should be more in the 2-3 million range, ha! Please check out all the photos, you'll be drooling for days. Plus, if you would like to see this "Piece of ART" in real-life all ya gotta do is visit the Dezer Collection Museum in North Miami, Florida. For more pics & further info, click

Everyone asks us where we write the Bat-Blog so here's a picture of our super-secret headquarters! No, not really (Ha Ha ), this is a very cool photo sent in by our friend Fernando. He says that every time he sees this building, located in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, near Miami, Florida, that he thinks of Batman. I guess I have to agree. It DOES look like the Caped Crusader! Thanks for sending this in Fernando, it's hilarious! ( If any other Bat-Blog Fans have any fun or interesting Batman-related news then please let us know )
I got this hilarious photo the other night from Chuck Dixon & it totally cracks me up! Recently he went to the 2009 Mini-Mega Con in Orlando, Florida. This is one of those comic book conventions I would really love to go to. While there, Chuck met "The Ventriloquist & The Dummy, Scarface". WOW! This costume is pretty awesome! I wanna thank Chuck for the photo, it really brightened my day. I love when Comic Book Fans get really into the characters they love. Cosplay is just one way they show they care, that's cool. Oh yeah, and for a few Bat-Blog Readers who might not know, Chuck Dixon was a MAJOR Batman comic book writer for many years during the 90's. So it's cool he got to meet "The Ventriloquist & Scarface", ha ha! Hey, if any other Bat-Blog Readers have any fun comicon or cosplay photos then please be sure to send them in! Our e-mail button is ALWAYS on the top right-hand side of this page.
