Creative Dad Takes Crazy Photos...

If you are tired of posed, stiff and cheesy family portraits, then take a look at these incredibly creative pictures taken by Jason Lee.
Jason who is a wedding photographer started taking photos of his two little daughters back in 2006 when his mom was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. The girls were constantly sick, with colds and coughs so he couldn’t always bring them to visit their grandmother. Jason wanted her to be able to see her granddaughters without catching their kid germs so he started a blog where his mom could see what was going on in their lives.
Most of the ideas come from his daughters – eight-year-old Kristin and five-year-old Kayla. Jason says that they are never-ending source of ideas.

Discovering Video Games and the Future of Learning

There is no doubt that video games and the future of learning are tied to each other.

In this current electronic environment, seemingly normal activities like making a phone call, driving a car, even cooking a meal are tied to technology. High speed computers, 3-D video games, smart phones: all this technological equipment is here to stay. It is a great disservice to students of any age and in any educational environment if the benefits offered by these advances in learning and communication are not viewed as tools to enhance education.

Writing Games for Kids Online

Share the latest with your children – writing games for kids online!
Writing games are a boom for children. Writing can be tedious for a child especially for young learners. For most kids writing is more of a task than pleasure. This is because of all the time they spend in school learning how to write, and then at home they often have writing homework. They start to perceive writing more as a chore than a fun thing to do.

The Secret to Finding Fun Educational Games for Girls

Fun educational games for girls are many and majority of them are available online. Of course, most educational games, such as teaching math, letters or sciences are unisex. However, there are some games, which use personages, more likable by girls.

Some fun educational games for girls are built around cartoon themes. And, some of these cartoons are more popular with girls, than with boys. However, if you search online for educational games for girls, you will find that many of the games are built around such topics, as cooking, caring, make up or celebrities. While games for boys are really educational and teaching them some skills.

It seems to be that these fun educational games for girls are not really aimed at developing their minds and skills, but more at entertaining and at “educating” on such female topics, as beauty or homemaking, ignored by boys.

So, sometimes, searching for the best fun educational games for girls, you might want to select the boys’ games, where kids master some skills and gain practical and key knowledge and science. Because, if you search for girls’ games, it almost seems like you go back to the ‘old days’, when the role of women was different.

If you are set on developing girls to be independent and smart personalities, educational games can help. Only you should be very careful to select those games, which would teach girls a diversity of knowledge and skills.

Best Advantages of Video Games for Kids Under 5

Desmond's New DC SUPER FRIENDS BATMAN Hoodie-Jacket!

Anybody who's been reading the Bat-Blog for awhile knows that our very best friend in the whole wide world is a cool kid named Desmond! I mean, this little guy is crazy for the Caped Crusader! Here he is modeling his new BATMAN Hoodie-Jacket his Mom found at K-Mart. It is a Fisher-Price DC Super Friends Batman print with little bats all over. It's ONLY MADE in children sizes which makes his Dad very very jealous, ha ha! But I have to admit that I'm a little envious too...because that IS one cool Batman Jacket! But I'm happy for Desmond because I know he is a major Batman Fan. He loves to watch every Batman show there is, from the campy 1966 TV Series to the new "Brave and The Bold" Cartoon. That's AWESOME! Thanks to his parents for sending these wonderful pics. I loved seeing the little guy again & I know that some of my readers are parents too & will enjoy this news.

Has Anyone Seen This BATMAN 1970's Rain Coat?

I recently got a message from a guy named Steve who is searching for a piece of his childhood. Well, he's looking for a Batman Rain Coat that he had as a kid in the 1970's. He wrote me to see if I had any information but I have never seen this bat-product before. The cool thing, he made these 2 awesome drawings to represent what he's looking for. Yeah, he got into heavy detail here, ha! the Coat was made out of Heavy Black Latex Rubber & was sort of like a Poncho. It had a Bat-Cowl Hood with a Clear-Plastic Visor. On the back was a Large BATMAN Logo ( 1970's Style ) inside a Yellow Oval-Shape. So, has anybody ever seen this thing? If so then please let us know. Thanks.
