Niko's BATMAN TOYS and STATUE COLLECTION - Part Two

Yesterday, we did a post ( Part One ) that celebrated the Batman and Joker Toys & Statue Collection of a friend to the Bat-Blog, named Niko. He lives in France and is a very serious BATMAN Toy Collector. Well, this is "Part Two". It's focus is on a Display Case that appears to have been built-in to a wall ( See the 2nd photo ). All the other pics show the collected items on each shelf. The collection is very eclectic with a lot of variety so it's really fun to see. There are some Batman and Joker Statues, Lego Toys, McDonalds Happy Meal Toys, DC Direct & Mattel Action Figures, UK Eaglemoss Figures, Animated Series Diecast Vehicles by ERTL , Some CORGI Toy Cars & much much more! ( Thanks Again Niko! )

1989 Batman Movie Batmobile Toy Cars & Joker Vehicles

Since today ( June 23rd, 2009 ) is the Official 20th Anniversary of Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie I thought I would do a quick post featuring a few toys vehicles made around the time the film came out. Now, it's totally imposable for this to be a definitive list. Mainly because the marketing people during that time went totally crazy trying to create every single kind of toy variation & merchandise that you can think of, ha ha! But here's a few nice examples to help take you down memory lane. The 1st one is a diecast toy car made by Ertl. This is the Joker Van, which was weird because it wasn't in the movie! They also made the Bat-Wing & the Batmobile which were pretty accurate to the film props. The 2nd & 3rd photos are 2 Model Kits of vehicles we saw in the movie. Joker's Goon Car &, of course, the Batmobile Car! The last photo is another Batmobile but this one was made by Toy Biz. At the time Toy Biz was the company that made the Action Figures, a Batcave Play Set, Vehicles ( for the figures ), & a few other misc items.

Vintage 1993 BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES Diecast Cars By ERTL

I know that today Corgi Toys & Mattel Hot Wheels are making some really great diecast cars of Batman but about 14 years ago a company called Ertl was making some really wonderful diecast vehicles for Batman : The Animated Series. They did the beautiful Art Deco style Batmobile from that now Classic Cartoon. They also did a Gotham City Police Helicopter, The Bat-Jet, Bruce Wayne's Car, The Bat-Boat/Submarine, & even the Bat-Bike! They were really nice quality & look great too. You can find these vehicles today on eBay pretty easily, here's a photo of all SIX in the set.
