The photos up above show the preliminary stages for the creation of the NEAL ADAMS BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE STATUE due out next year in 2008. The exact date from DC has not been released yet but we can't wait to see the final product!! Just looking at these "Prototype Photos" makes me totally drool, ha ha. The last set of photos show what the piece is gonna "sort-of" look like. I talked to the Sculptor Jason Spyda Adams about his new Batman sculpture & he said, "This is a picture of the painted version before painted revisions are made. The revisions will include a dark gray instead of a black color to better represent the dark blue color in my father's Batman stories ( Neal Adams is Jason's dad, how cool is that! ). Also the Batman chest symbol will be larger and higher on the chest." Well, this is an amazing piece of art. The extremely dramatic pose really represents the classic artwork of Neal Adams, especially the large flowing cape! The Bat-Blog wishes to thank Jason for allowing us the use of these awesome photos. I'm sure every reader here will be buying one of these as soon as it's released!
