THE JOKER - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

I guess we should warn new readers to the Bat-Blog that every Wednesday we post some cool FREE New BATMAN Backgrounds and call it, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!". Oh Yeah, this week we're gonna focus on the Clown Prince of Crime, THE JOKER! The 1st one is a comic book version were he looks totally INSANE Crazy!! He's actually pretty scary, ha! The 2nd one is more friendly and was a graphic used on a recent custom t-shirt. This JOKER FACE is made-up of the words, "Why So Serious?", sort of a tribute to Heath Ledger's character in THE DARK KNIGHT Movie. OK, we hope you like these! Here a very cool mini-documentary following the viral marketing campaign for the Dark Knight Batman movie. Of course all Batman Fans remember all the hype this series of events created & it was highly successful. Personally I remember the total nightmare of having to stay on top of all of it to be able to report all the news here at the Bat-Blog, ha ha! But overall it was really a blast & I enjoyed it a lot! I just hope they do something like this again for the next movie because even though they NEVER came to my city ( my ONLY complaint ) they did give away some really great collectibles that they mailed to you. In fact, as I write this article, I can see my framed HARVEY DENT FOR DA Political Campaign Poster on the wall!

US Senator Patrick Leahy in The New DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Trailer!

I've watched the new Dark Knight Batman #2 Movie Trailer about 100 times recently, ha ha! I was wondering, did anyone else notice during the scene with the Joker & his goons crashing Bruce Wayne's dinner party at his penthouse that the "real life" United States Senator from Vermont (D) Patrick Leahy is in the crowd? Yep, he's a HUGE Batman Fan & he got himself a guest spot in the film, pretty cool huh?! He was also in Batman & Robin with George Clooney.

BATMAN ART: The Art Portfolio of Mark Slater, Graphic Designer

OK, Here's a quick post that goes in the "Graphic Artist Inspired By Batman" category. I'm talking about Mark Slater, a young 23 year old graphic artist, who has a ton of talent. Shown here are a few examples of his work where you can clearly see that he loves the Batman character. The graphics show the Batman Villains: The Joker ( Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight movie ), Two-Face ( from the Comic Book or Graphic Novel? ), and Mr. Freeze ( A lot like the version from Batman: The Animated Series ). Regular Bat-Blog Readers know the drill! Every Wednesday we post 2 Brand-New BATMAN WALLPAPERS you can use as a background in a MySpace layout or to decorate your PC Desktop! Here are some with a JOKER theme. The 1st one is a new one at the Official DC Comics website where they kinda hype the soon-to-be-released BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE 20th Anniversary Graphic Novel Book ( I can't wait till this comes out & they're also gonna make some very cool Action Figures too ). The next Joker Wallpaper is extremely special because it was created by a friend of the Bat-Blog named "Bacon". He's a graphic designer dude with a lot of talent. He made this just for you guys & it's really cool! I like how, in the background, there's the phrase "WHY SO SERIOUS?" & the letter have a drop-shadow to give them a 3-D look. The graphic of Joker has the same shadow & it's just a neat trick-of-the-eye that I like. We wanna invite other readers to send us LARGE graphics we can use as backgrounds.
